2“IfH3588 someoneH5315 sinsH2398 and actsH4603 unfaithfullyH4604 against the LORDH3068 by deceivingH3584 his neighborH5997 in regard to a depositH6487 or securityH8667 entrusted to himH3027 orH176 stolenH1498H176, orH176 if he extortsH6231 his neighborH5997 3orH176 findsH4672 lost propertyH9 and liesH3584 about it and swearsH7650 falselyH8267, or if he commits any such sinH2398H259H3605 thatH834 a manH120 might commitH6213— 4onceH3588 he has sinnedH2398 and becomes guiltyH816, he must returnH7725 whatH834H1497 he has stolenH1500 orH176 taken by extortionH6231, orH176 the depositH6487 entrustedH6485 to himH854, orH176 the lost propertyH9 he foundH4672, 5orH176 anything elseH3605 aboutH5921 whichH834 he has swornH7650 falselyH8267.
He must makeH7218 restitution in fullH7999, addH3254 a fifthH2549 of the valueH5921, and pay itH5414 to the ownerH834H1931 on the dayH3117 he acknowledges his guiltH819. 6Then he must bringH935 toH413 the priestH3548 his guilt offeringH817 to the LORDH3068: an unblemishedH8549 ramH352 of proper valueH6187 fromH4480 the flockH6629. 7In this way the priestH3548 will make atonementH3722 for himH5921 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068, and he will be forgivenH5545 forH5921 anythingH259H3605 he may have doneH6213 to incur guiltH819.”
