Deuteronomy 32:1-40
1Give earH238, O heavensH8064, and I will speakH1696;hearH8085, O earthH776, the wordsH561 of my mouthH6310.2Let my teachingH3948 fallH6201 like rainH4306and my speechH565 settleH5140 like dewH2919,like gentle rainH8164 onH5921 new grassH1877,like showersH7241 onH5921 tender plantsH6212.3ForH3588 I will proclaimH7121 the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068.AscribeH3051 greatnessH1433 to our GodH430!4He is the RockH6697, His workH6467H3588 is perfectH8549;allH3605 His waysH1870 are justH4941.A GodH410 of faithfulnessH530 withoutH369 injusticeH5766,righteousH6662 and uprightH3477 is HeH1931.
5His people have acted corruptlyH7843 toward Him;the blemishH3971 on them is notH3808 that of His childrenH1121,but of a perverseH6141 and crookedH6618 generationH1755.16Is thisH2063 how you repayH1580 the LORDH3068,O foolishH5036 and senselessH3808H2450 peopleH5971?Is HeH1931 notH3808 your FatherH1 and CreatorH7069?Has He notH1931 made youH6213 and established youH3559?7RememberH2142 the daysH3117 of oldH5769;considerH995 the yearsH8141 longH1755 pastH1755.AskH7592 your fatherH1, and he will tell youH5046,your eldersH2205, and they will informH559 you.8When the Most HighH5945 gave the nationsH1471 their inheritanceH5157,when He dividedH6504 the sonsH1121 of manH120,He setH5324 the boundariesH1367 of the peoplesH5971according to the numberH4557 of the sonsH1121 of GodH3478.29ButH3588 the LORD’sH3068 portionH2506 is His peopleH5971,JacobH3290 His allottedH2256 inheritanceH5159.
10He found himH4672 in a desertH4057 landH776,in a barrenH8414, howlingH3214 wildernessH3452;He surrounded himH5437, He instructed himH995,He guarded himH5341 as the appleH3803 of His eyeH5869.11As an eagleH5404 stirs upH5782 its nestH7064and hoversH7363 overH5921 its youngH1469,He spreadH6566 His wingsH3671 to catch themH3947and carried themH5375 onH5921 His pinionsH84.412The LORDH3068 aloneH910 led himH5148,and noH369 foreignH5236 godH410 was with himH5973.13He made him rideH7392 onH5921 the heightsH1116 of the landH776and fed himH398 the produceH8570 of the fieldH7704.He nourished himH3243 with honeyH1706 from the rockH5553and oilH8081 from the flintyH2496 cragH6697,14with curdsH2529 from the herdH1241 and milkH2461 from the flockH6629,withH5973 the fatH2459 of lambsH3733,with ramsH352 from BashanH1121H1316, and goatsH6260,withH5973 the choicestH2459 grainsH3629 of wheatH2406.From the juiceH1818 of the finest grapesH6025you drankH8354 the wineH2561.
15But JeshurunH34845 grew fatH8080 and kickedH1163—becoming fatH8080, bloatedH5666, and gorgedH3780.He abandonedH5203 the GodH433 who made himH6213and scornedH5034 the RockH6697 of his salvationH3444.16They provoked His jealousyH7065 with foreign godsH2114;they enraged HimH3707 with abominationsH8441.17They sacrificedH2076 to demonsH7700, notH3808 to GodH433,to godsH430 they had notH3808 knownH3045,to newly arrivedH2319H7138H935 gods,which your fathersH1 did notH3808 fearH8175.18You ignoredH7876 the RockH6697 who brought you forthH3205;you forgotH7911 the GodH410 who gave you birthH2342.
19When the LORDH3068 saw thisH7200, He rejectedH5006 them,provoked to angerH3708 by His sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323.20He saidH559: “I will hideH5641 My face from themH6440;I will seeH7200 whatH4100 will be their endH319.ForH3588 they are a perverseH8419H1992 generationH1755—childrenH1121 of unfaithfulnessH3808H529.21TheyH1992 have provoked My jealousyH7065 by that which is notH3808 GodH410;they have enraged MeH3707 with their worthless idolsH1892.So IH589 will make them jealousH7065 by those who are notH3808 a peopleH5971;6I will make them angryH3707 by a nationH1471 without understandingH5036.722ForH3588 a fireH784 has been kindledH6919 by My angerH639,and it burnsH3344 toH5704 the depthsH8482 of SheolH7585;it consumesH398 the earthH776 and its produceH2981,and scorchesH3857 the foundationsH4144 of the mountainsH2022.
23I will heapH5595 disastersH7451 upon themH5921;I will spendH3615 My arrowsH2671 against them.24They will be wastedH4198 from hungerH7458and ravagedH3898 by pestilenceH7565 and bitterH4815 plagueH6986;I will sendH7971 the fangsH8127 of wild beastsH929 against them,withH5973 the venomH2534 of vipers that slitherH2119 in the dustH6083.25OutsideH2351, the swordH2719 will take their childrenH7921,and insideH2315, terror will strikeH367the young manH970H1571 andH1571 the young womanH1330,the infantH3243 andH5973 the gray-hairedH7872 manH376.26I would have said thatH559 I would cut them to piecesH6284and blot outH7673 their memoryH2143 from mankindH582,27if I had notH3884 dreadedH1481H6435 the tauntH3708 of the enemyH341,lestH6435 their adversariesH6862 misunderstandH5234 and sayH559:‘Our own handH3027 has prevailedH7311;it was notH3808 the LORDH3068 who didH6466 allH3605 thisH2063.’”
28IsraelH1992 is a nationH1471 devoidH6 of counselH6098,with noH369 understandingH8394 among them.29If onlyH3863 they were wiseH2449, they would understandH7919 itH2063;they would comprehendH995 their fateH319.30HowH349 could one manH259 pursueH7291 a thousandH505,or twoH8147 put ten thousandH7233 to flightH5127,unlessH518H3808H3588 their RockH6697 had sold themH4376,unless the LORDH3068 had given them upH5462?31ForH3588 their rockH6697 is notH3808 like our RockH6697,even our enemiesH341 concedeH6414.832ButH3588 their vineH1612 is from the vineH1612 of SodomH5467and from the fieldsH7709 of GomorrahH6017.Their grapesH6025 are poisonousH7219;their clustersH811 are bitterH4846.33Their wineH3196 is the venomH2534 of serpentsH8577,the deadlyH393 poisonH7219 of cobrasH6620.
34“Have I notH3808 stored upH3647 these thingsH1931,sealed upH2856 within MyH5978 vaultsH214?35VengeanceH5359 is Mine; I will repayH8005.9In due timeH6256 their footH7272 will slipH4131;forH3588 their dayH3117 of disasterH343 is nearH7138,and their doomH6264 is coming quicklyH2363.”
36ForH3588 the LORDH3068 will vindicateH1777 His peopleH597110and have compassionH5162 onH5921 His servantsH5650whenH3588 He seesH7200 thatH3588 their strengthH3027 is goneH235and no oneH657 remains, slaveH6113 or freeH5800.37He will sayH559: “WhereH335 are their godsH430,the rockH6697 in which they took refugeH2620,38whichH834 ateH398 the fatH2459 of their sacrificesH2077and drankH8354 the wineH3196 of their drink offeringsH5257?Let them rise upH6965 and help youH5826;let them give youH1961H5921 shelterH5643!
39SeeH7200 nowH6258 thatH3588 IH589 am HeH1931;there is noH369 GodH430 besides MeH5978.IH589 bring deathH4191 and I give lifeH2421;I woundH4272H589 and IH589 healH7495,and there is no oneH369who can deliverH5337 from My handH3027.40ForH3588 I lift upH5375 My handH3027 toH413 heavenH8064 and declareH559:As surely as IH595 liveH2416 foreverH5769,
