2O cityעִ֚יר'irH5892of commotionתְּשֻׁא֣וֹת׀ מְלֵאָ֗הte.shu.'ot me.le.'AhH8663 H4392,O townקִרְיָ֖הkir.YahH7151of revelryהֽוֹמִיָּ֔ה עַלִּיזָ֑הho.mi.Yah 'a.li.ZahH1993 H5947?Your slainחֲלָלַ֙יִךְ֙cha.la.La.yikhH2491did notלֹ֣אlo'H3808dieחַלְלֵי־cha.lei-H2491by the swordחֶ֔רֶבChe.revH2719,nor were theyוְלֹ֖אve.Lo'H3808killedמֵתֵ֥יme.TeiH4191in battleמִלְחָמָֽה׃mil.cha.MahH4421.

4Thereforeעַל־ כֵּ֥ן'al- kenH5921 H3651I saidאָמַ֛רְתִּי'a.Mar.tiH559, “Turn awayשְׁע֥וּshe.'UH8159from meמִנִּ֖יmi.NiH4480,let me weepבַּבֶּ֑כִיba.Be.khiH1065bitterlyאֲמָרֵ֣ר'a.ma.RerH4843!Do notאַל־'al-H408tryתָּאִ֣יצוּta.'I.tzuH213to console meלְנַֽחֲמֵ֔נִיle.na.cha.Me.niH5162overעַל־'al-H5921the destructionשֹׁ֖דshodH7701of the daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of my peopleעַמִּֽי׃'a.MiH5971.”

6Elamוְעֵילָם֙ve.'ei.LamH5867takes upנָשָׂ֣אna.Sa'H5375a quiverאַשְׁפָּ֔ה'ash.PahH827,with chariotsבְּרֶ֥כֶב אָדָ֖םbe.Re.khev 'a.DamH7393 H120and horsemenפָּֽרָשִׁ֑יםpa.ra.ShimH6571,and Kirוְקִ֥ירve.KirH7024uncoversעֵרָ֖ה'e.RahH6168the shieldמָגֵֽן׃ma.GenH4043.

7וַיְהִ֥יvay.HiH1961Your choicestמִבְחַר־miv.char-H4005valleysעֲמָקַ֖יִךְ'a.ma.Ka.yikhH6010are full ofמָ֣לְאוּMal.'uH4390chariotsרָ֑כֶבRa.khevH7393,and horsemenוְהַפָּ֣רָשִׁ֔יםve.ha.Pa.ra.ShimH6571are postedH7896at the gatesהַשָּֽׁעְרָה׃ha.Sha.'e.rahH8179.

8He has uncoveredוַיְגַ֕לvay.GalH1540אֵ֖ת'etH853the defensesמָסַ֣ךְma.SakhH4539of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063.On thatהַה֔וּאha.Hu'H1931dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117you lookedוַתַּבֵּט֙va.ta.BetH5027toאֶל־'el-H413the weaponsנֶ֖שֶׁקNe.shekH5402in the Houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Forestהַיָּֽעַר׃hai.Ya.'arH3293.

13But lookוְהִנֵּ֣ה׀ve.hi.NehH2009,there is joyשָׂשׂ֣וֹןsa.SonH8342and gladnessוְשִׂמְחָ֗הve.sim.ChahH8057,butcheringהָרֹ֤ג׀ha.RogH2026of cattleבָּקָר֙ba.KarH1241and slaughteringוְשָׁחֹ֣טve.sha.ChotH7819of sheepצֹ֔אןTzonH6629,eatingאָכֹ֥ל'a.KholH398of meatבָּשָׂ֖רba.SarH1320and drinkingוְשָׁת֣וֹתve.sha.TotH8354of wineיָ֑יִןYa.yinH3196: “Let us eatאָכ֣וֹל'a.KholH398and drinkוְשָׁת֔וֹve.sha.ToH8354,forכִּ֥יkiH3588tomorrowמָחָ֖רma.CharH4279we dieנָמֽוּת׃na.MutH4191!”
