2And JehoashH3060didוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213that which wasrightהַיָּשָׁ֛רhai.ya.SharH3477in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068all his daysיָמָ֑יוya.MavH3117wherein Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֖עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestהַכֹּהֵֽן׃ha.ko.HenH3548instructedהוֹרָ֔הוּho.Ra.huH3384him.

3But the high placesהַבָּמ֖וֹתha.ba.MotH1116were not taken awayסָ֑רוּSa.ruH5493:the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971still sacrificedמְזַבְּחִ֥יםme.za.be.ChimH2076and burnt incenseוּֽמְקַטְּרִ֖יםu.me.ka.te.RimH6999in the high placesבַּבָּמֽוֹת׃ba.ba.MotH1116.

5Let the priestsH3548takeיִקְח֤וּyik.ChuH3947itto them, every manH376of his acquaintanceמַכָּר֑וֹma.ka.RoH4378:and let them repairיְחַזְּקוּ֙ye.cha.ze.KuH2388the breachesבֶּ֣דֶקBe.dekH919of the houseH1004,wheresoever any breachבָּֽדֶק׃ פBa.dekH919shall be foundיִמָּצֵ֥אyi.ma.Tze'H4672.

7Then kingH4428JehoashH3060calledוַיִּקְרָא֩vai.yik.Ra'H7121for Jehoiadaלִיהוֹיָדָ֤עli.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestH3548, and the otherpriestsH3548,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Why repairH2388ye not the breachesH919of the houseH1004?now therefore receiveתִּקְחוּ־tik.chu-H3947no moremoneyכֶ֙סֶף֙khe.sefH3701of your acquaintanceמַכָּֽרֵיכֶ֔םma.ka.rei.KhemH4378,but deliverתִּתְּנֻֽהוּ׃ti.te.Nu.huH5414it for the breachesH919of the houseH1004.

9But Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֤עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestH3548tookH3947aאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259chestאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727,and boredוַיִּקֹּ֥בvai.yi.KoH5344a holeחֹ֖רchorH2356in the lidבְּדַלְתּ֑וֹbe.dal.ToH1817of it, and setוַיִּתֵּ֣ןvai.yi.TenH5414it besideאֵ֨צֶל'E.tzelH681the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֜חַha.miz.Be.achH4196,on the right sideמִיָּמִ֗יןbai.ya.minH3225as oneאִישׁ֙'ishH376comethבְּבֽוֹא־be.Vo'-H935into the houseH1004of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068:and the priestsH3548that keptשֹׁמְרֵ֣יsho.me.ReiH8104the doorהַסַּ֔ףha.SafH5592putוְנָֽתְנוּ־ve.na.te.nu-H5414therein all the moneyH3701that wasbroughtהַמּוּבָ֥אha.mu.Va'H935into the houseH1004of Yhwhיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

10And it was so,when they sawכִּרְאוֹתָ֔םkir.'o.TamH7200that there wasmuchרַ֥בravH7227moneyH3701in the chestH727,that the king’sהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428scribeסֹפֵ֤רso.FerH5608and the highהַגָּד֔וֹלha.ga.DolH1419priestH3548came upוַיַּ֨עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927,and they put up in bagsוַיָּצֻ֙רוּ֙vai.ya.Tzu.ruH6696,and toldוַיִּמְנ֔וּvai.yim.NuH4487the moneyH3701that was foundהַנִּמְצָ֥אha.nim.Tza'H4672in the houseH1004of YhwhH3068.

12And to masonsוְלַגֹּֽדְרִים֙ve.la.go.de.RimH1443,and hewersוּלְחֹצְבֵ֣יu.le.cho.tze.VeiH2672of stoneהָאֶ֔בֶןha.'E.venH68,and to buyוְלִקְנ֤וֹתve.lik.NotH7069timberH6086and hewedמַחְצֵ֔בmach.TzevH4274stoneוְאַבְנֵ֣יve.'av.NeiH68to repairH2388the breachesבֶּ֣דֶקBe.dekH919of the houseH1004of YhwhH3068,and for all that was laid outH3318for the houseH1004to repairH2394it.

13Howbeit there were not madeיֵעָשֶׂ֜הye.'a.SehH6213for the houseH1004of YhwhH3068bowlsסִפּ֥וֹתsi.PotH5592of silverכֶּ֙סֶף֙ke.sefH3701,snuffersמְזַמְּר֤וֹתme.za.me.RotH4212,basonsמִזְרָקוֹת֙miz.ra.kOtH4219,trumpetsחֲצֹ֣צְר֔וֹתcha.Tzo.tze.RotH2689,any vesselsכְּלִ֥יke.LiH3627of goldזָהָ֖בza.HavH2091,or vesselsוּכְלִי־u.khe.li-H3627of silverכָ֑סֶףKha.sefH3701,of the moneyהַכֶּ֖סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701that wasbroughtהַמּוּבָ֥אha.mu.Va'H935into the houseH1004of YhwhH3068:

14But they gaveיִתְּנֻ֑הוּyi.te.Nu.huH5414that to the workmenהַמְּלָאכָ֖הha.me.la.KhahH6213 H4399,and repairedוְחִזְּקוּ־ve.chi.ze.ku-H2388therewith the houseH1004of YhwhH3068.

15Moreover they reckonedיְחַשְּׁב֣וּye.cha.she.VuH2803not with the menהָאֲנָשִׁ֗יםha.'a.na.ShimH582,into whose handיָדָ֔םya.DamH3027they deliveredH5414the moneyהַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ha.Ke.sefH3701to be bestowedH5414on workmenH4399:for they dealtH6213faithfullyבֶאֱמֻנָ֖הve.'e.mu.NahH530.

16The trespassאָשָׁם֙'a.ShamH817moneyH3701and sinחַטָּא֔וֹתcha.ta.'otH2403moneyH3701was not broughtיוּבָ֖אyu.Va'H935into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Yhwhיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068:it was the priests’לַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםla.ko.ha.NimH3548.

17Then Hazaelחֲזָאֵל֙cha.za.'ElH2371kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Syriaאֲרָ֔ם'a.RamH758went upיַעֲלֶ֗הya.'a.LehH5927,and foughtוַיִּלָּ֥חֶםvai.yi.La.chemH3898against Gathגַּ֖תgatH1661,and tookוַֽיִּלְכְּדָ֑הּvai.yil.ke.DahH3920it: and Hazaelחֲזָאֵל֙cha.za.'ElH2371setוַיָּ֤שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760his faceפָּנָ֔יוpa.NavH6440to go upלַעֲל֖וֹתla.'a.LotH5927to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389.
