Joshua 24:15-22
15And if it seem evilH7451 unto you to serveH5647 Jehovah, chooseH977 you this dayH3117 whom ye will serveH5647; whether the godsH430 which your fathersH1 servedH5647 that were beyond the RiverH5104, or the godsH430 of the AmoritesH567, in whose landH776 ye dwellH3427: but as for me and my houseH1004, we will serveH5647 Jehovah.
16And the peopleH5971 answered and saidH559, FarH2486 be it from us that we should forsakeH5800 Jehovah, to serveH5647 otherH312 godsH430; 17for Jehovah our GodH430, he it is that broughtH5927 us and our fathersH1 up out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, from the houseH1004 of bondage, and that did those greatH1419 signsH226 in our sight, and preservedH8104 us in all the wayH1870 wherein we wentH1980, and among all the peoplesH5971 through the midstH7130 of whom we passedH5674; 18and Jehovah droveH1644 out from before us all the peoplesH5971, even the AmoritesH567 that dweltH3427 in the landH776: therefore we alsoH1571 will serveH5647 Jehovah; for he is our GodH430.
19And JoshuaH3091 saidH559 unto the peopleH5971, Ye cannot serveH5647 Jehovah; for he is a holyH6918 GodH430; he is a jealousH7072 GodH430; he will not forgiveH5375 your transgressionH6588 nor your sinsH2403. 20If ye forsakeH5800 Jehovah, and serveH5647 foreign godsH430, then he will turnH7725 and do you evilH7489, and consume you, after that he hath done you goodH3190. 21And the peopleH5971 saidH559 unto JoshuaH3091, Nay; but we will serveH5647 Jehovah. 22And JoshuaH3091 saidH559 unto the peopleH5971, Ye are witnessesH5707 against yourselves that ye have chosenH977 you Jehovah, to serveH5647 him. And they saidH559, We are witnessesH5707.
