1 Corinthians 8:7-13
7Howbeit there isG1510 not in all men that knowledgeG1108: but some, beingG1510 used until nowG1161 to the idolG1497, eatG2068 as of a thing sacrificed to an idolG1497; and their conscienceG4893 beingG1510 weakG772 isG1510 defiled. 8But foodG1033 will not commend us to GodG2316: neither, if we eatG2068 not, are we the worse; nor, if we eatG2068, are we the better. 9But take heedG991 lestG3361 by any means this liberty of yours becomeG1096 a stumblingblock to the weakG772. 10For if a man seeG3708 thee who hast knowledgeG1108 sitting at meat in an idol’s temple, will not his conscienceG4893, if he isG1510 weakG772, beG1510 emboldened to eatG2068 things sacrificed to idols? 11For through thy knowledgeG1108 he that is weakG770 perisheth, the brotherG80 for whose sakeG1223 ChristG5547 diedG599. 12And thusG3779, sinningG264 against the brethren, and wounding their conscienceG4893 when it is weakG770, ye sinG264 against ChristG5547. 13Wherefore, if meatG2907 causeth my brotherG80 to stumbleG4624, I will eatG2068 no flesh for evermore, that I causeG4624 not my brotherG80 to stumbleG4624.
