Ezekiel 36

1And thou, sonH1121 of manH120, prophesyH5012 unto the mountainsH2022 of IsraelH3478, and sayH559, Ye mountainsH2022 of IsraelH3478, hearH8085 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068. 2ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BecauseH5921 the enemyH341 hath saidH559 againstH5921 youH5921, AhaH1889! and, The ancientH5769 highH1116 placesH1116 are ours in possessionH4181: 3therefore prophesyH5012, and sayH559, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BecauseH5921, evenH3651 becauseH5921 they have madeH8074 youH5921 desolateH8074, and swallowed youH5921 upH5927 on everyH5439 sideH5439, that ye might be a possessionH4181 unto the residue of the nationsH1471, and ye are takenH5927 upH5927 in the lipsH8193 of talkers, and the evilH1681 reportH1681 of the peopleH5971: 4therefore, ye mountainsH2022 of IsraelH3478, hearH8085 the wordH1697 of the LordH136 GODH136; ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136 to the mountainsH2022 and to the hillsH1389, to the watercourses and to the valleysH1516, to the desolateH8076 wastesH2723 and to the citiesH5892 that are forsaken, whichH834 are becomeH1961 a preyH957 and derisionH3933 to the residue of the nationsH1471 that are roundH5439 aboutH1961: 5therefore thusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: SurelyH518 in the fireH784 of my jealousyH7068 have I spokenH1696 againstH5921 the residue of the nationsH1471, and againstH5921 allH3605 EdomH123, whichH834 have appointedH5414 my landH776 unto themselvesH5315 for a possessionH4181 with the joyH8057 of allH3605 their heartH3824, with despiteH5921 of soulH5315, to castH5414 it outH5921 for a preyH957: 6Therefore prophesyH5012 concerning the landH127 of IsraelH3478, and sayH559 unto the mountainsH2022 and to the hillsH1389, to the watercourses and to the valleysH1516, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BeholdH2005, I have spokenH1696 in my jealousyH7068 and in my furyH2534, becauseH5921 ye have borneH5375 the shameH3639 of the heathen: 7therefore thusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: I have liftedH5375 upH5375 mine handH3027, sayingH559, SurelyH518 the heathen that are roundH5439 aboutH5439 youH834, they shall bearH5375 their shameH3639. 8But ye, O mountainsH2022 of IsraelH3478, ye shall shoot forthH5414 your branchesH6057, and yieldH5414 your fruitH6529 to my peopleH5971 IsraelH3478; for they are at handH5414 to comeH935. 9For, beholdH2005, I am for youH3588, and I will turnH6437 unto youH3588, and ye shall be tilled and sownH2232: 10and I will multiplyH7235 menH120 uponH5921 youH3605, allH3605 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, evenH5921 allH3605 of it: and the citiesH5892 shall be inhabitedH3427, and the wasteH2723 placesH2723 shall be builded: 11and I will multiplyH7235 uponH5921 youH3588 manH120 and beastH929; and they shall increaseH7235, and be fruitfulH6509: and I will cause youH3588 to be inhabitedH3427 afterH5921 your formerH6927 estate, and will doH589 betterH5921 unto youH3588 thanH5921 at your beginnings: and ye shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068. 12Yea, I will causeH1961 menH120 to walk uponH5921 youH5921, evenH5750 my peopleH5971 IsraelH3478; and they shall possessH3423 thee, and thou shalt be their inheritanceH5159, and thou shalt noH3808 moreH5750 henceforth bereaveH7921 them of childrenH7921. 13ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BecauseH3282 they sayH559 unto youH859, Thou land art a devourerH398 of menH120, and hast been a bereaver of thy nationH1471; 14therefore thou shalt devourH398 menH120 noH3808 moreH5750, neitherH3808 bereaveH3782 thy nationH1471 anyH5750 moreH5750, saith the LordH136 GODH136; 15neitherH3808 will I letH3808 thee hearH8085 anyH5750 moreH5750 the shameH2781 of the heathen, neitherH3808 shalt thou bearH5375 the reproachH2781 of the peoplesH5971 anyH5750 moreH5750, neitherH3808 shalt thou cause thy nationH1471 to stumbleH3782 anyH5750 moreH5750, saith the LordH136 GODH136. 16MoreoverH1961 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 unto meH413, sayingH559, 17SonH1121 of manH120, when the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 dweltH3427 in their ownH1961 landH127, they defiledH2930 it by their wayH1870 and by their doings: their wayH1870 beforeH6440 meH6440 was as the uncleannessH5079 of a womanH1004 in herH5921 separation. 18Wherefore I pouredH8210 outH8210 my furyH2534 uponH5921 them for the bloodH1818 whichH834 they had pouredH8210 outH8210 uponH5921 the landH776, and becauseH5921 they had defiledH2930 it with their idolsH1544: 19and I scatteredH2219 them among the nationsH1471, and they were dispersedH2219 throughH776 the countriesH776: according to their wayH1870 and according to their doings I judgedH8199 them. 20And when they cameH935 unto the nationsH1471, whither they wentH3318, they profanedH2490 my holyH6944 nameH8034; in that menH5971 saidH559 of them, TheseH428 are the peopleH5971 of the LORDH3068, and are goneH3318 forthH3318 outH3318 of his landH776. 21But I had pityH2550 for mine holyH6944 nameH8034, whichH834 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 had profanedH2490 among the nationsH1471, whither they wentH935. 22Therefore sayH559 unto the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: I doH6213 notH3808 this for your sakeH4616, O houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, but for mine holyH6944 nameH8034, whichH834 ye have profanedH2490 among the nationsH1471, whither ye wentH935. 23And I will sanctifyH6942 my greatH1419 nameH8034, whichH834 hath been profanedH2490 among the nationsH1471, whichH834 ye have profanedH2490 in the midstH8432 of them; and the nationsH1471 shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068, saith the LordH3068 GODH3068, when I shall be sanctifiedH6942 in youH834 beforeH5869 their eyesH5869. 24For I will takeH3947 youH3605 from among the nationsH1471, and gatherH6908 youH3605 outH4480 of allH3605 the countriesH776, and will bringH935 youH3605 intoH413 your own landH776. 25And I will sprinkleH2236 cleanH2889 waterH4325 uponH5921 youH3605, and ye shall be cleanH2889: from allH3605 your filthiness, and from allH3605 your idolsH1544, will I cleanseH2891 youH3605. 26A newH2319 heartH3820 also will I giveH5414 youH5414, and a newH2319 spiritH7307 will I putH5414 withinH7130 youH5414: and I will takeH5493 awayH5493 the stony heartH3820 outH853 of your fleshH1320, and I will giveH5414 youH5414 art heartH3820 of fleshH1320. 27And I will putH5414 my spiritH7307 withinH7130 youH834, and causeH4941 youH834 to walk in my statutesH2706, and ye shall keepH8104 my judgmentsH4941, and doH6213 them. 28And ye shall dwellH3427 in the landH776 that I gaveH5414 to your fathersH1; and ye shall be my peopleH5971, and I will be your GodH430. 29And I will saveH3467 youH5414 from allH3605 your uncleannesses: and I will callH7121 for the corn, and will multiplyH7235 it, and layH5414 noH3808 famineH7458 uponH5921 youH5414. 30And I will multiplyH7235 the fruitH6529 of the treeH6086, and the increaseH7235 of the fieldH7704, that ye shall receiveH3947 noH3808 moreH5750 the reproachH2781 of famineH7458 among the nationsH1471. 31Then shall ye rememberH2142 your evilH7451 waysH1870, and your doingsH4611 that were notH3808 goodH2896; and ye shall loathe yourselves in your ownH6440 sightH6440 for your iniquitiesH5771 and for your abominationsH8441. 32NotH3808 for your sakeH4616 doH6213 I this, saith the LordH136 GODH136, be it knownH3045 unto youH3045: be ashamedH954 and confoundedH3637 for your waysH1870, O houseH1004 of IsraelH3478. 33ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: In the dayH3117 that I cleanseH2891 youH3605 from allH3605 your iniquitiesH5771, I will cause the citiesH5892 to be inhabitedH3427, and the wasteH2723 placesH2723 shall be builded. 34And the landH776 that was desolateH8074 shall be tilled, whereasH8478 it was a desolationH8077 in the sightH5869 of allH3605 that passedH5674 by. 35And they shall sayH559, This landH776 that was desolateH8074 is becomeH1961 like the gardenH1588 of EdenH5731; and the wasteH8074 and desolateH8074 and ruinedH2040 citiesH5892 are fenced and inhabitedH3427. 36Then the nationsH1471 that are leftH7604 roundH5439 aboutH5439 youH834 shall knowH3045 that I the LORDH3068 have builded the ruinedH2040 placesH2040, and plantedH5193 that whichH834 was desolateH8074: I the LORDH3068 have spokenH1696 it, and I will doH6213 it. 37ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: For this moreoverH3541 will I be inquiredH1875 of by the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478; to doH6213 it for them; I will increaseH7235 them with menH120 like a flockH6629. 38As the flockH6629 for sacrifice, as the flockH6629 of JerusalemH3389 in herH1961 appointedH4150 feastsH4150; soH3651 shall the waste citiesH5892 be filledH4392 with flocksH6629 of menH120: and they shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068.
