Ezekiel 30
Revised Version 1895
1The wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 againH1961 unto meH413, sayingH559, 2SonH1121 of manH120, prophesyH5012, and sayH559, ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: HowlH3213 ye, Woe worth the dayH3117! 3For the dayH3117 is nearH7138, evenH3588 the dayH3117 of the LORDH3068 is nearH7138, a dayH3117 of cloudsH6051; it shall be the time of the heathen. 4And a swordH2719 shall comeH935 uponH935 EgyptH4714, and anguishH2479 shall be in EthiopiaH3568, when the slainH2491 shall fallH5307 in EgyptH4714; and they shall takeH3947 awayH3947 herH3947 multitudeH1995, and herH3947 foundationsH3247 shall be brokenH2040 downH5307. 5EthiopiaH3568, and PutH6316, and LudH3865, and allH3605 the mingled peopleH1121, and Cub, and the childrenH1121 of the landH776 that is in leagueH1285, shall fallH5307 with them by the swordH2719. 6ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068: They also that upholdH5564 EgyptH4714 shall fallH5307, and the prideH1347 of herH3381 powerH5797 shall comeH3381 downH3381: from the tower of Seveneh shall they fallH5307 in it by the swordH2719, saith the LordH3068 GODH3068. 7And they shall be desolateH8074 in the midstH8432 of the countriesH776 that are desolateH8074, and herH1961 citiesH5892 shall be in the midstH8432 of the citiesH5892 that are wasted. 8And they shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068, when I have setH5414 a fireH784 in EgyptH4714, and allH3605 herH3605 helpersH5826 are destroyed. 9In that dayH3117 shall messengersH4397 goH3318 forthH3318 from beforeH6440 meH6440 in shipsH6716 to makeH2729 the careless Ethiopians afraidH2729; and there shall be anguishH2479 uponH935 them, as in the dayH3117 of EgyptH4714; for, loH2009, it cometh. 10ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: I will also makeH3027 the multitudeH1995 of EgyptH4714 to ceaseH7673, by the handH3027 of NebuchadrezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894. 11He and his peopleH5971 with him, the terrible of the nationsH1471, shall be broughtH935 in to destroyH7843 the landH776; and they shall draw their swordsH2719 againstH5921 EgyptH4714, and fillH4390 the landH776 with the slainH2491. 12And I will makeH5414 the riversH2975 dryH2724, and will sellH4376 the landH776 intoH776 the handH3027 of evilH7451 men; and I will makeH5414 the landH776 desolateH8074, and allH4393 that is therein, by the handH3027 of strangersH2114: I the LORDH3068 have spokenH1696 it. 13ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: I will also destroyH6 the idolsH1544, and I will causeH5414 the imagesH457 to ceaseH7673 from Noph; and there shall be noH3808 moreH5750 a princeH5387 outH6 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714: and I will putH5414 a fearH3374 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 14And I will makeH5414 PathrosH6624 desolateH8074, and will setH5414 a fireH784 in ZoanH6814, and will executeH5414 judgmentsH8201 in NoH5414. 15And I will pourH8210 my furyH2534 uponH5921 Sin, the strongH4581 hold of EgyptH4714; and I will cutH3772 offH3772 the multitudeH1995 of No. 16And I will setH5414 a fireH784 in EgyptH4714; Sin shall be in great anguishH2342, and NoH5414 shall be brokenH1234 upH5414: and Noph shall have adversaries in the dayH3119 time. 17The youngH970 menH970 of AvenH206 and of Pi-besethH6364 shall fallH5307 by the swordH2719: and theseH2007 cities shall goH5307 intoH5307 captivityH7628. 18At TehaphnehesH8471 also the dayH3117 shall withdraw itselfH1931, when I shall breakH7665 there the yokesH4133 of EgyptH4714, and the prideH1347 of herH3680 powerH5797 shall ceaseH7673 in herH3680: as for herH3680, a cloudH6051 shall coverH3680 herH3680, and herH3680 daughtersH1323 shall go intoH4714 captivityH7628. 19Thus will I execute judgmentsH8201 in EgyptH4714: and they shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068. 20And it cameH1961 to passH1961 in the eleventhH6240 yearH8141, in the firstH7223 monthH2320, in the seventhH7651 dayH2320 of the monthH2320, that the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 unto meH413, sayingH559, 21SonH1121 of manH120, I have brokenH7665 the armH2220 of PharaohH6547 kingH4428 of EgyptH4714; and, loH2009, it hath notH3808 been boundH2280 upH5414 to apply healingH7499 medicines, to putH5414 a roller to bindH2280 it, that it be strongH2388 to holdH2388 the swordH2719. 22Therefore thusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BeholdH2005, I am againstH413 PharaohH6547 kingH4428 of EgyptH4714, and will breakH7665 his armsH2220, the strongH2389, and that whichH2719 was brokenH7665; and I will cause the swordH2719 to fallH5307 outH413 of his handH3027. 23And I will scatterH2219 the EgyptiansH4714 among the nationsH1471, and will disperseH2219 them throughH776 the countriesH776. 24And I will strengthenH2388 the armsH2220 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and putH5414 my swordH2719 in his handH3027: but I will breakH7665 the armsH2220 of PharaohH6547, and he shall groanH5008 beforeH6440 him with the groaningsH5009 of a deadly woundedH2491 man. 25And I will holdH2388 upH5414 the armsH2220 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and the armsH2220 of PharaohH6547 shall fallH5307 downH5307; and they shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068, when I shall putH5414 my swordH2719 intoH413 the handH3027 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and he shall stretchH5186 it outH2388 uponH413 the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 26And I will scatterH2219 the EgyptiansH4714 among the nationsH1471, and disperseH2219 them throughH776 the countriesH776; and they shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068.
