Isaiah 3:1-16

1For,beholdהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009, theLordH3068, theLORDH3068ofhostsצְבָא֗וֹתtze.va.'otH6635, dothtakeH5493awayH5493fromJerusalemמִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙mi.ru.sha.LimH3389and fromJudahוּמִ֣יהוּדָ֔הu.Mi.hu.DahH3063stay andstaffוּמַשְׁעֵנָ֑הu.mash.'e.NahH4938, thewholeכֹּ֚לkolH3605stay ofbreadלֶ֔חֶםLe.chemH3899, and thewholeוְכֹ֖לve.KholH3605stay ofwaterמָֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325;

2themightyגִּבּ֖וֹרgi.BorH1368manוְאִ֣ישׁve.'IshH376, and themanH376ofwarמִלְחָמָ֑הmil.cha.MahH4421; thejudgeשׁוֹפֵ֥טsho.FetH8199, and theprophetוְנָבִ֖יאve.na.Vi'H5030, and thedivinerוְקֹסֵ֥םve.ko.SemH7080, and the ancient;

3thecaptainשַׂר־sar-H8269offiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֖יםcha.mi.ShimH2572, and the honourablemanוַחֲכַ֥םva.cha.KhamH2450, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the skilfulenchanterלָֽחַשׁ׃La.chashH3908.

4And I willgiveוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414childrenנְעָרִ֖יםne.'a.RimH5288to be theirprincesשָׂרֵיהֶ֑םsa.rei.HemH8269, and babes shallruleיִמְשְׁלוּ־yim.she.lu-H4910over them.

5And thepeopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971shall beoppressedוְנִגַּ֣שׂve.ni.GasH5065,everyH376one byanotherבְּרֵעֵ֑הוּbe.re.'E.huH7453, andeveryH376one by his neighbour: thechildהַנַּ֙עַר֙ha.Na.'arH5288shall behavehimselfבַּנִּכְבָּֽד׃ba.nikh.BadH3513proudlyagainstH376the ancient, and the baseagainstH376the honourable.

6When amanאִ֤ישׁ'ishH376shalltakeH1980holdיִתְפֹּ֨שׂyit.PosH8610of hisbrotherבְּאָחִיו֙be.'a.ChivH251in thehouseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of hisfatherאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1, saying, Thou hastclothingשִׂמְלָ֣הsim.LahH8071, be thou ourrulerקָצִ֖יןka.TzinH7101, andletH1980this ruin beunderתַּ֥חַתTa.chatH8478thyhandיָדֶֽךָ׃ya.De.khaH3027:

7in thatdayבַיּ֨וֹםvai.YomH3117shall heliftיִשָּׂא֩yi.Sa'H5375upH5375his voice,sayingלֵאמֹר֙le.MorH559, I willnotH3808be anhealerחֹבֵ֔שׁcho.VeshH2280; for in myhouseוּבְבֵיתִ֕יu.ve.vei.TiH1004isneitherH3808breadלֶ֖חֶםLe.chemH3899norH3808clothingשִׂמְלָ֑הsim.LahH8071: ye shallnotH3808makeH7760meH7760rulerקְצִ֥יןke.TzinH7101of thepeopleעָֽם׃'AmH5971.

8ForJerusalemיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389is ruined, andJudahוִיהוּדָ֖הvi.hu.DahH3063isfallenנָפָ֑לna.FalH5307:becauseH3588theirtongueלְשׁוֹנָ֤םle.sho.NamH3956and theirdoingsוּמַֽעַלְלֵיהֶם֙u.ma.'a.lei.HemH4611areagainstאֶל־'el-H413theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, to provoke theeyesעֵנֵ֥י'e.NeiH5869of hisgloryכְבוֹדֽוֹ׃khe.vo.DoH3519.

9The shew of theircountenanceH6440doth witnessagainstH6440them; and theydeclareהִגִּ֖ידוּhi.Gi.duH5046theirsinוְחַטָּאתָ֛םve.cha.ta.TamH2403asSodomכִּסְדֹ֥םkis.DomH5467, theyhideכִחֵ֑דוּkhi.Che.duH3582itnotלֹ֣אlo'H3808.Woeא֣וֹי'oH188unto theirsoulH5315! for they haverewardedגָמְל֥וּga.me.LuH1580evilרָעָֽה׃ra.'AhH7451untothemselvesH5315.

10Sayאִמְר֥וּ'im.RuH559ye of therighteousצַדִּ֖יקtza.DikH6662, that it shall bewellH2896with him: for they shalleatיֹאכֵֽלוּ׃yo.Khe.luH398thefruitפְרִ֥יfe.RiH6529of theirdoingsמַעַלְלֵיהֶ֖םma.'a.lei.HemH4611.

11Woeא֖וֹי'oH188unto thewickedלְרָשָׁ֣עle.ra.Sha'H7563! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of hishandsיָדָ֖יוya.DavH3027shall begivenH3027him.

12As for mypeopleעַמִּי֙'a.MiH5971, children are theiroppressorsנֹגְשָׂ֣יוno.ge.SavH5065, andwomenH802ruleמָ֣שְׁלוּMa.she.luH4910over them. O mypeopleעַמִּי֙'a.MiH5971, theywhichH802leadH8582thee cause thee toerrH8582, anddestroyבִּלֵּֽעוּ׃ סbi.Le.'uH1104thewayוְדֶ֥רֶךְve.De.rekhH1870of thypathsאֹֽרְחֹתֶ֖יךָ'o.re.cho.Tei.khaH734.

13TheLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068standethupוְעֹמֵ֖דve.'o.MedH5975topleadלָרִ֖יבla.RivH7378, and standeth tojudgeלָדִ֥יןla.DinH1777thepeoplesעַמִּֽים׃'a.MimH5971.

14TheLORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068willenterH935intoH935judgmentבְּמִשְׁפָּ֣טbe.mish.PatH4941with theeldersזִקְנֵ֥יzik.NeiH2205of hispeopleעַמּ֖וֹa.MoH5971, and theprincesוְשָׂרָ֑יוve.sa.RavH8269thereof: It is ye that have eatenupH935thevineyardהַכֶּ֔רֶםha.Ke.remH3754; the spoil of thepoorהֶֽעָנִ֖יhe.'a.NiH6041is in yourhousesבְּבָתֵּיכֶֽם׃be.va.tei.KhemH1004:

15what mean ye that yecrushתְּדַכְּא֣וּte.da.ke.'UH1792mypeopleעַמִּ֔י'a.MiH5971, andgrindתִּטְחָ֑נוּtit.Cha.nuH2912thefaceוּפְנֵ֥יu.fe.NeiH6440of thepoorעֲנִיִּ֖ים'a.ni.YimH6041? saith theLordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136, theLORDH136ofhostsצְבָאֽוֹת׃ סtze.va.'otH6635.

16Moreover theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Becauseכִּ֤יkiH3588thedaughtersבְּנ֣וֹתbe.NotH1323ofZionצִיּ֔וֹןtzi.YonH6726are haughty, andwalkH1980withstretchedנְטוּי֣וֹתne.tv.VotH5186forthH1980necks and wantoneyesעֵינָ֑יִם'ei.Na.yimH5869,walkingH1980andmincingוְטָפֹף֙ve.ta.FofH2952as theygoH1980, and making a tinkling with theirfeetוּבְרַגְלֵיהֶ֖םu.ve.rag.lei.HemH7272:
