3And in process of time itcameH935topassH935, thatCainקַ֜יִןKa.yinH7014broughtH935of thefruitמִפְּרִ֧יmi.pe.RiH6529of thegroundהָֽאֲדָמָ֛הha.'a.da.MahH127an offering unto theLORDלַֽיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068.

4AndAbelוְהֶ֨בֶלve.He.velH1893, he alsobroughtהֵבִ֥יאhe.Vi'H935of the firstlings of hisflockצֹאנ֖וֹtzo.NoH6629and of thefatוּמֵֽחֶלְבֵהֶ֑ןu.me.chel.ve.HenH2459thereof. And theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068had respect untoAbelהֶ֖בֶלHe.velH1893and to his offering:

5but untoCainקַ֥יִןKa.yinH7014and to his offering he hadnotלֹ֣אlo'H3808respectH6440. AndCainלְקַ֙יִן֙le.Ka.yinH7014wasveryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966wroth, and hiscountenanceH6440fellוַֽיִּפְּל֖וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307.

6And theLORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559untoCainקָ֑יִןKa.yinH7014,Whyלָ֚מָּהLa.mahH4100art thou wroth? andwhyוְלָ֖מָּהve.La.mahH4100is thycountenanceפָנֶֽיךָ׃fa.Nei.khaH6440fallenנָפְל֥וּna.fe.LuH5307?

7Ifאִם־'im-H518thou doestwellתֵּיטִיב֙tei.TivH3190, shalt thounotהֲל֤וֹאha.Lo'H3808be accepted? andifוְאִם֙ve.'ImH518thou doestnotלֹ֣אlo'H3808wellתֵיטִ֔יבtei.TivH3190,sinחַטָּ֣אתcha.TatH2403coucheth at thedoorלַפֶּ֖תַחla.Pe.tachH6607: and unto thee shall be hisdesireתְּשׁ֣וּקָת֔וֹte.Shu.ka.ToH8669, and thou shaltruleתִּמְשָׁל־tim.shol-H4910over him.

And itcameוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961topassבִּהְיוֹתָ֣םbih.yo.TamH1961, when they were in thefieldH7704, thatCainקַ֛יִןKa.yinH7014roseH6965upH6965againstH413Abelהֶ֥בֶלHe.velH1893hisbrotherאָחִ֖יו'a.ChivH251, andslewוַיַּהַרְגֵֽהוּ׃vai.ya.har.Ge.huH2026him.

9And theLORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559untoCainקַ֔יִןKa.yinH7014,Whereאֵ֖י'eiH335isAbelהֶ֣בֶלHe.velH1893thybrotherאָחִ֑יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251? And hesaidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, Iknowיָדַ֔עְתִּיya.Da'.tiH3045notלֹ֣אlo'H3808: am I mybrother’sאָחִ֖י'a.ChiH251keeperהֲשֹׁמֵ֥רha.sho.MerH8104?

10And hesaidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Whatמֶ֣הmehH4100hast thoudoneעָשִׂ֑יתָ'a.Si.taH6213? thevoiceק֚וֹלKolH6963of thybrother’sאָחִ֔יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251bloodדְּמֵ֣יde.MeiH1818crieth untomeאֵלַ֖י'e.LaiH413from thegroundהָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃Ha.'a.da.MahH127.

11Andnowוְעַתָּ֖הve.'a.TahH6258cursedאָר֣וּר'a.RurH779art thou from thegroundהָֽאֲדָמָה֙ha.'a.da.MahH127,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834hathopenedפָּצְתָ֣הpa.tze.TahH6475herH3947mouthפִּ֔יהָPi.haH6310toreceiveלָקַ֛חַתla.Ka.chatH3947thybrother’sאָחִ֖יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251bloodדְּמֵ֥יde.MeiH1818from thyhandמִיָּדֶֽךָ׃mi.ya.De.khaH3027;

13AndCainקַ֖יִןKa.yinH7014saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, Mypunishmentעֲוֹנִ֖י'a.vo.NiH5771isgreaterגָּד֥וֹלga.DolH1419thanH1419I canbearמִנְּשֹֽׂא׃mi.ne.So'H5375.

14Beholdהֵן֩henH2005, thou hastdrivenH1644meH6440outH1644thisdayהַיּ֗וֹםhai.YomH3117from thefaceH6440of thegroundH776; and from thyfaceH6440shall I behidאֶסָּתֵ֑ר'e.sa.TerH5641; and I shall be a fugitive and awandererוָנָד֙va.NadH5110in theearthבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776; and it shallcomeוְהָיִ֜יתִיve.ha.Yi.tiH1961topassוְהָיָ֥הve.ha.YahH1961, that whosoever findethmeH6440shallslayיַֽהַרְגֵֽנִי׃Ya.har.Ge.niH2026meH6440.

15And theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֧אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Therefore whosoever slayethCainקַ֔יִןKa.yinH7014,vengeanceH5358shall betakenH5358on himsevenfoldשִׁבְעָתַ֖יִםshiv.'a.Ta.yimH7659. And theLORDיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068appointedוַיָּ֨שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760asignא֔וֹת'otH226forCainלְקַ֙יִן֙le.Ka.yinH7014, lestanyH3605findingמֹצְאֽוֹ׃mo.tze.'OH4672him shouldsmiteהַכּוֹת־ha.kot-H5221him.
