23And when theycameוַיָּבֹ֣אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935toMarahמָרָ֔תָהma.Ra.tahH4785, theycouldיָֽכְל֗וּya.khe.LuH3201notוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808drinkלִשְׁתֹּ֥תlish.TotH8354of thewatersמַ֙יִם֙ma.yimH4325ofMarahמִמָּרָ֔הmi.ma.RahH4785, for they werebitterמָרִ֖יםma.RimH4751: therefore thenameשְׁמָ֖הּshe.MahH8034of it wascalledקָרָֽא־ka.ra'-H7121Marahמָרָֽה׃ma.RahH4785.
25And hecriedוַיִּצְעַ֣קvai.yitz.'AkH6817unto theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068; and theLORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068shewed him atreeעֵ֔ץ'EtzH6086, and hecastוַיַּשְׁלֵךְ֙vai.yash.leKhH7993itintoH413thewatersהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325, and thewatersהַמָּ֑יִםha.Ma.yimH4325weremadeH7760sweetוַֽיִּמְתְּק֖וּvai.yim.te.KuH4985. There hemadeH7760for them astatuteחֹ֥קchokH2706and anordinanceוּמִשְׁפָּ֖טu.mish.PatH4941, and there heprovedנִסָּֽהוּ׃ni.Sa.huH5254them;
