6AndJonathanיְהוֹנָתָ֜ןye.ho.na.TanH3083saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to theyoungהַנַּ֣עַר׀ha.Na.'arH5288manH5288that bare his armour, Come and letusאֶל־'el-H413goוְנַעְבְּרָ֗הve.na'.be.RahH5674over unto thegarrisonמַצַּב֙ma.TzavH4673oftheseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428uncircumcisedהָעֲרֵלִ֣יםha.'a.re.LimH6189: it may be that theLORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068will work forusאֶל־'el-H413: for there isnoאֵ֤ין'einH369restraint to theLORDלַֽיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068tosaveלְהוֹשִׁ֥יעַle.ho.Shi.a'H3467bymanyבְּרַ֖בbe.RavH7227or byfewבִמְעָֽט׃vim.'AtH4592.

7And his armourbearersaidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him,Doעֲשֵׂ֖ה'a.SehH6213allכָּל־kol-H3605that is in thineheartבִּלְבָבֶ֑ךָbil.va.Ve.khaH3824:turnנְטֵ֣הne.TehH5186thee,beholdהִנְנִ֥יhi.NiH2005I am with thee according to thyheartכִּלְבָבֶֽךָ׃ סkil.va.Ve.khaH3824.

8Thensaidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559Jonathanיְה֣וֹנָתָ֔ןye.Ho.na.TanH3083,Beholdהִנֵּ֛הhi.NehH2009,weH587willpassעֹבְרִ֖ים'oe.RimH5674over unto themenH376, andweH587will discoverourselvesH587unto them.

9IfH518theysayיֹֽאמְרוּ֙yo.me.RuH559thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541untousH413, Tarryuntilעַד־'ad-H5704weH518comeH5927toyouH518; thenweH518willstandH5975stillH5975in ourplaceתַחְתֵּ֔ינוּtach.Tei.nuH8478, and willnotוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808goנַעֲלֶ֖הna.'a.LehH5927upH5927unto them.

10Butifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518theysayיֹאמְר֜וּyo.me.RuH559thusכֹּ֨הkohH3541,Comeעֲל֤וּ'a.LuH5927upH5927untousH5414; thenweכִּֽי־ki-H3588willgoוְעָלִ֔ינוּve.'a.Li.nuH5927upH5927: for theLORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068hathdeliveredH5414themintoעָלֵ֙ינוּ֙'a.Lei.nuH5921ourhandבְּיָדֵ֑נוּbe.ya.De.nuH3027: and this shall be thesignהָאֽוֹת׃ha.'otH226untousH5414.

11Andbothשְׁנֵיהֶ֔םshe.nei.HemH8147of them discoveredthemselvesH2244unto thegarrisonמַצַּ֖בma.TzavH4673of thePhilistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑יםpe.lish.TimH6430: and thePhilistinesפְלִשְׁתִּ֔יםfe.lish.TimH6430saidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559,Beholdהִנֵּ֤הhi.NehH2009, theHebrewsעִבְרִים֙'iv.RimH5680comeH3318forthH3318outH3318of theholesהַחֹרִ֖יםha.cho.RimH2356whereאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834they hadhidH2244themselvesH2244.

12And themenH376of the garrisonansweredH559Jonathanיוֹנָתָ֣ן׀yo.na.TanH3129and his armourbearer, andsaidH559,Comeעֲל֣וּ'a.LuH5927upH5927tousH5414, andweH3588will shewyouH3588athingדָּבָ֑ר פda.VarH1697. AndJonathanיוֹנָתָ֜ןyo.na.TanH3129saidH559unto his armourbearer,Comeעֲלֵ֣ה'a.LehH5927upH5927afterאַחֲרַ֔י'a.cha.RaiH310meאֵלֵ֔ינוּ'e.Lei.nuH413: for theLORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068hathdeliveredH5414themintoאֶל־'el-H413thehandבְּיַ֥דbe.YadH3027ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

13AndJonathanיוֹנָתָ֗ןyo.na.TanH3129climbedH5927upH5927uponעַל־'al-H5921hishandsיָדָיו֙ya.DavH3027anduponוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921hisfeetרַגְלָ֔יוrag.LavH7272, and his armourbearerafterאַחֲרָ֑יו'a.cha.RavH310him: and theyfellוַֽיִּפְּלוּ֙vai.yi.pe.LuH5307beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440Jonathanיוֹנָתָ֔ןyo.na.TanH3129; and his armourbearer slew themafterאַחֲרָֽיו׃'a.cha.RavH310him.

14And thatfirstהָרִאשֹׁנָ֗הha.ri.sho.NahH7223slaughterהַמַּכָּ֣הha.ma.KahH4347,whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834Jonathanיוֹנָתָ֛ןyo.na.TanH3129and his armourbearermadeH1961, wasaboutH1961twentyכְּעֶשְׂרִ֣יםke.'es.RimH6242menאִ֑ישׁ'IshH376within as it werehalfכְּבַחֲצִ֥יke.va.cha.TziH2677a furrow’s length in anacreצֶ֥מֶדTze.medH6776oflandשָׂדֶֽה׃sa.DehH7704.

15And there was atremblingH2729in thecampבַמַּחֲנֶ֤הva.ma.cha.NehH4264, in thefieldבַשָּׂדֶה֙va.sa.DehH7704, and amongallוּבְכָל־u.ve.Khol-H3605thepeopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971; thegarrisonהַמַּצָּב֙ha.ma.TzavH4673, and the spoilers, they alsotrembledH7264: and theearthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776quakedH7264;soH1961there was an exceedinggreatאֱלֹהִֽים׃'E.lo.HimH430tremblingH2729.

16And thewatchmenהַצֹּפִים֙ha.tzo.FimH6822ofSaulלְשָׁא֔וּלle.sha.'UlH7586inGibeahבְּגִבְעַ֖תbe.giv.'AtH1390ofBenjaminבִּנְיָמִ֑ןbin.ya.MinH1144lookedוַיִּרְא֤וּvai.yir.'UH7200; and,beholdוְהִנֵּ֧הve.hi.NehH2009, themultitudeהֶהָמ֛וֹןhe.ha.MonH1995meltedH4127awayנָמ֖וֹגna.MogH4127, and they went hither and thither.

17Thensaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Saulשָׁא֗וּלsha.'UlH7586unto thepeopleלָעָם֙la.'AmH5971that were with him,Numberפִּקְדוּ־pik.du-H6485nowH4994, andseeוּרְא֔וּu.re.'UH7200who isgoneהָלַ֣ךְha.LakhH1980fromusH4994. And when they hadnumberedוַֽיִּפְקְד֔וּvai.yif.ke.DuH6485,beholdוְהִנֵּ֛הve.hi.NehH2009,Jonathanיוֹנָתָ֖ןyo.na.TanH3129and his armourbearer werenotאֵ֥ין'einH369there.

18AndSaulשָׁאוּל֙sha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559untoAhijahלַֽאֲחִיָּ֔הla.'a.chi.YahH281,Bringהַגִּ֖ישָׁהha.Gi.shahH5066hither thearkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727ofGodהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430. For thearkאֲר֧וֹן'a.RonH727ofGodהָאֱלֹהִ֛יםha.'E.lo.HimH430was there at that time with thechildrenוּבְנֵ֥יu.ve.NeiH1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

19And itcameH1961topassH1961,whileעַ֣ד'adH5704Saulשָׁאוּל֙sha.'UlH7586talkedדִּבֶּ֤רdi.BerH1696unto thepriestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548, that thetumultוְהֶהָמ֗וֹןve.he.ha.MonH1995that was in thecampבְּמַחֲנֵ֣הbe.ma.cha.NehH4264of thePhilistinesפְלִשְׁתִּ֔יםfe.lish.TimH6430wentH1980on and increased: andSaulשָׁא֛וּלsha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֧אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto thepriestהַכֹּהֵ֖ןha.ko.HenH3548,Withdrawאֱסֹ֥ף'e.SofH622thinehandיָדֶֽךָ׃ya.De.khaH3027.

20AndSaulשָׁא֗וּלsha.'UlH7586andallH3605thepeopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971that were with him were gatheredtogetherוַיִּזָּעֵ֣קvai.yi.za.'EkH2199, andcameוַיָּבֹ֖אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to thebattleהַמִּלְחָמָ֑הha.mil.cha.MahH4421: and,beholdוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009,everyH3605man’sאִישׁ֙'ishH376swordחֶ֤רֶבChe.revH2719wasagainstאִתּ֔וֹ'i.ToH854hisfellowH376, and there was averyמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966greatגְּדוֹלָ֥הge.do.LahH1419discomfiture.

22Likewiseallוְכֹל֩ve.KholH3605themenאִ֨ישׁ'ishH376ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478whichH2022hadhidH2244themselvesH310in thehillבְּהַר־be.har-H2022countryH2022ofEphraimאֶפְרַ֙יִם֙'ef.Ra.yimH669, when theyheardשָֽׁמְע֔וּsha.me.'UH8085that thePhilistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑יםpe.lish.TimH6430fledנָ֖סוּNa.suH5127,evenגַם־gam-H1571they alsofollowedH310hardH2244afterH310them in thebattleבַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ba.mil.cha.MahH4421.
