6When themenH376ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֤לYis.ra.'ElH3478sawרָאוּ֙ra.'UH7200that they were in a strait, (for thepeopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971were distressed,) then thepeopleהָעָ֗םha.'AmH5971didH376hideH2244themselvesH2244incavesבַּמְּעָר֤וֹתba.me.'a.RotH4631, and in thickets, and inrocksוּבַסְּלָעִ֔יםu.va.se.la.'ImH5553, and in holds, and inpitsוּבַבֹּרֽוֹת׃u.va.bo.RotH953.

7NowH310someH3605of theHebrewsוְעִבְרִ֗יםve.'iv.RimH5680had gone overJordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֔ןhai.yar.DenH3383to thelandאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776ofGadגָּ֖דgadH1410andGileadוְגִלְעָ֑דve.gil.'AdH1568; but as forSaulוְשָׁאוּל֙ve.sha.'UlH7586, he was yet inGilgalבַגִּלְגָּ֔לva.gil.GalH1537, andallH3605thepeopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971followedH310himtremblingחָרְד֥וּcha.re.DuH2729.
