Titus 1:10-16
101For there are manyG4183 2rebelliousG506 peopleG506, 3emptyG3151 talkersG3151 and deceiversG5423, especiallyG3122 4thoseG3588 of the circumcisionG4061,
11whoG3739 mustG1163 be silencedG1993 becauseG3748 they are upsettingG396 5wholeG3650 familiesG3624, teachingG1321 6thingsG3739 they shouldG1163 not teach 7for the sakeG5484 of 8dishonestG150 gainG2771.
12OneG5100 of themG846, a prophetG4396 of their ownG2398, saidG3004, “9CretansG2912 are alwaysG104 liarsG5583, evilG2556 beastsG2342, lazyG692 gluttonsG1064.”
13ThisG3778 testimonyG3141 is trueG227. For thisG3739 reasonG156 10reprimandG1651 them 11severelyG664 soG2443 thatG2443 they may be 12soundG5198 in the faithG4102,
14not payingG4337 attentionG4337 to JewishG2451 13mythsG3454 and 14commandmentsG1785 of menG444 who 15turnG654 awayG654 from the truthG225.
1516To the pureG2513, allG3956 thingsG3956 are pureG2513; but 17to thoseG3588 who are defiledG3392 and unbelievingG571, nothingG3762 is pureG2513, but bothG2532 their 18mindG3563 and their conscienceG4893 are defiledG3392.
1619They professG3670 to knowG3609 GodG2316, but by their deedsG2041 they 20denyG720 Him, beingG1510 21detestableG947 and 22disobedientG545 and 23worthlessG96 24for anyG3956 goodG18 deedG2041.
