Isaiah 8:9-22

9“1Be brokenH7489, you peoplesH5971, and be 23shatteredH2865; And listenH238, allH3605 remoteH4801 placesH4801 of the earthH776. 4GetH247 readyH247, yet be 5shatteredH2865; 6GetH247 readyH247, yet be 7shatteredH2865.108DeviseH5779 a planH6098, but it will failH6565; StateH1696 a 9proposalH1697, but 10it will not standH6965, For 1112GodH410 is with us.”

11For soH3541 the LordH3068 spokeH559 to me 13with 14mightyH2393 powerH3027 and instructedH3256 me 15not to walkH1980 in the wayH1870 of thisH2088 peopleH5971, sayingH559,12“You are not to sayH559, ‘It is a 16conspiracyH7195!’ Regarding everythingH3605 that thisH2088 peopleH5971 callH559 a conspiracyH7195, And 17you are not to fearH3372 18whatH4172 they fearH4172 or beH6206 inH6206 dreadH6206 of it.13It is the 19LordH3068 of armiesH6635 20whom you are to regardH6942 asH6942 holyH6942. And He shall be your fearH4172, And He shall beH6206 your dreadH6206.14Then He will becomeH1961 a 21sanctuaryH4720; But to bothH8147 housesH1004 of IsraelH3478, He will be a 22stoneH68 of stumblingH5063 and a rockH6697 23of offenseH4383, And a snareH6341 and a 24trapH4170 for the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389.15ManyH7227 25will stumbleH3782 over them, Then they will fallH5307 and be brokenH7665; They will be snaredH3369 and caughtH3920.”

1626BindH6887 upH6887 the testimonyH8584, 27sealH2856 the 28LawH8451 among 29my disciplesH3928. 17And I will 30waitH2442 for the LordH3068 31who is hidingH5641 His faceH6440 from the houseH1004 of JacobH3290; I will waitH6960 eagerlyH6960 for Him. 1832BeholdH2009, I and the childrenH3206 whomH834 the LordH3068 has givenH5414 me are for 33signsH226 and wondersH4159 in IsraelH3478 from the LordH3068 of armiesH6635, who 34dwellsH7931 on MountH2022 ZionH6726.

19WhenH3588 they sayH559 to you, “35ConsultH1875 the mediumsH178 and the spiritistsH3049 who whisperH6850 and mutterH1897,” should a peopleH5971 not 36consultH1875 their GodH430? Should they 37consult the deadH4191 in behalfH1157 of the livingH2416? 20To the 3839LawH8451 and to the testimonyH8584! IfH518 they do not speakH559 in accordance with thisH2088 wordH1697, it is becauseH834 40they haveH369 noH369 dawnH7837. 21They will passH5674 through 41the land 42dejectedH7185 and hungryH7457, and it will turnH1961 outH1961 that whenH3588 they are hungryH7456, they will becomeH7107 enragedH7107 and curseH7043 43their kingH4428 and their GodH430 as they faceH6437 upwardH4605. 22Then they will 44lookH5027 to the earthH776, and beholdH2009, distressH6869 and darknessH2825, the gloomH4588 of anguishH6695; and they will be 45drivenH5080 awayH5080 into darknessH653.
