Isaiah 66:3-17
3“But the one who slaughtersH7819 an oxH7794 is like one who killsH5221 a personH376; The one who sacrificesH2076 a lambH7716 is like one who breaksH6202 a dog’sH3611 neckH6202; One who offersH5927 a grain offeringH4503 is like one who offers 1pig’sH2386 bloodH1818; One who 23burnsH2142 incenseH3828 is like one who blessesH1288 an idolH205. As they have chosenH977 their 4own waysH1870, And their soulsH5315 delightH2654 in their 5abominationsH8251,4SoH1571 I will 6chooseH977 their 7punishmentsH8586 And 8bringH935 on them whatH4034 they dreadH4034. BecauseH3282 I calledH7121, but 9noH369 oneH369 answeredH6030; I spokeH1696, but they did not listenH8085. Instead, they didH6213 10evilH7451 in My sightH5869 And choseH977 that in whichH834 I did not delightH2654.”5HearH8085 the wordH1697 of the LordH3068, you whoH2730 11trembleH2730 at His wordH1697: “Your brothersH251 who 12hateH8130 you, who 13excludeH5077 you on accountH4616 of My nameH8034, Have saidH559, ‘Let the LordH3068 be glorifiedH3513, so that we may seeH7200 your joyH8057.’ But 14they will be putH954 toH954 shameH954.6A soundH6963 of uproarH7588 from the cityH5892, a voiceH6963 from the templeH1964, The voiceH6963 of the LordH3068 who is 15dealingH7999 retributionH1576 to His enemiesH340.
7“BeforeH2962 she wasH2342 inH2342 laborH2342, 16she deliveredH3205; BeforeH2962 her painH2256 cameH935, 17she gaveH4422 birthH4422 to a boyH2145.818WhoH4310 has heardH8085 suchH2088 a thingH2088? WhoH4310 has seenH7200 suchH428 things? Can a landH776 be 19bornH2342 in oneH259 dayH3117? Can a nationH1471 be givenH3205 birthH3205 allH6471 atH6471 onceH259H6471? AsH3588 soonH3588 asH3588 ZionH6726 wasH2342 inH2342 laborH2342, she alsoH1571 deliveredH3205 her sonsH1121.9Shall I bringH7665 toH7665 theH7665 pointH7665 ofH7665 birthH7665 but 20not giveH3205 deliveryH3205?” saysH559 the LordH3068. “OrH518 shall I who givesH3205 deliveryH3205 shutH6113 the womb?” saysH559 your GodH430.10“BeH8055 21joyfulH8055 with JerusalemH3389 and rejoiceH1523 for her, allH3605 you who 22loveH157 her; Be exceedinglyH4885 23gladH7797 with her, allH3605 you who mournH56 overH5921 her,11SoH4616 thatH4616 you may nurseH3243 and 24beH7646 satisfiedH7646 with her comfortingH8575 breastsH7699, SoH4616 thatH4616 you may drinkH4711 fullyH4711 and be delightedH6026 with her 25bountifulH3519 breastsH2123.”12For thisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559: “BeholdH2009, I extendH5186 26peaceH7965 to her like a riverH5104, And the 27gloryH3519 of the nationsH1471 like an overflowingH7857 streamH5158; And you will 28be nursedH3243, you will be 29carriedH5375 on the 30hipH6654 and rockedH8173 backH8173 andH8173 forthH8173 on the kneesH1290.13As oneH376 whomH834 his motherH517 comfortsH5162, soH3651 I will 31comfortH5162 you; And you will be comfortedH5162 in JerusalemH3389.”14Then you will 32seeH7200 this, and your 33heartH3820 will be gladH7797, And your 34bonesH6106 will flourishH6524 like the newH1877 grassH1877; And the 35handH3027 of the LordH3068 will be madeH3045 knownH3045 to His servantsH5650, But He will beH2194 36indignantH2194 towardH854 His enemiesH340.15For beholdH2009, the LordH3068 will comeH935 in 37fireH784, And His 38chariotsH4818 like the whirlwindH5492, To renderH7725 His angerH639 with furyH2534, And His rebukeH1606 with flamesH3851 of fireH784.16For the LordH3068 will executeH8199 judgmentH8199 by 39fireH784 And by His 40swordH2719 on 41humanityH1320, And those putH2491 toH2491 deathH2491 by the LordH3068 will beH7231 manyH7231.17“Those who sanctifyH6942 and purifyH2891 themselves to go to the 42gardensH1593, 43FollowingH310 oneH259 in the centerH8432, Who eatH398 44pig’sH2386 fleshH1320, detestableH8263 thingsH8263, and miceH5909, Will 45comeH5486 toH5486 anH5486 endH5486 altogetherH3164,” declaresH5002 the LordH3068.
