Isaiah 37:10-33
10“ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 you shall sayH559 to HezekiahH2396 kingH4428 of 1JudahH3063: ‘2Do not let your GodH430 in whomH834 you trustH982 deceiveH5378 you by sayingH559, “JerusalemH3389 will not be handedH5414H3027 overH5414 to the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804.” 113BeholdH2009, you yourselfH859 have heardH8085 whatH834 the kingsH4428 of AssyriaH804 have doneH6213 to allH3605 the landsH776, destroyingH2763 them completelyH2763. So will you be savedH5337? 12Did the godsH430 of the nationsH1471 whichH834 my fathersH1 destroyedH7843 saveH5337 them: 4GozanH1470, 5HaranH2771, RezephH7530, and the sonsH1121 of EdenH5729 whoH834 were in TelassarH8515? 13WhereH346 is the kingH4428 of HamathH2574, the kingH4428 of ArpadH774, the kingH4428 of the cityH5892 of SepharvaimH5617, and of HenaH2012 and IvvahH5755?’”
14Then HezekiahH2396 tookH3947 the 6letterH5612 from the handH3027 of the messengersH4397 and readH7121 it, and he wentH5927 upH5927 to the houseH1004 of the LordH3068 and 7spreadH6566 it outH6566 beforeH6440 the LordH3068. 15HezekiahH2396 prayedH6419 to the LordH3068, sayingH559, 16“LordH3068 of armiesH6635, GodH430 of IsraelH3478, 8who is enthronedH3427 above the cherubimH3742, You are the 9GodH430, You aloneH905, of allH3605 the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH776. 10You madeH6213 heavenH8064 and earthH776. 1711InclineH5186 Your earH241, LordH3068, and hearH8085; openH6491 Your eyesH5869, LordH3068, and seeH7200; and 12listenH8085 to allH3605 the wordsH1697 of SennacheribH5576, who sentH7971 them to 13tauntH2778 the livingH2416 GodH430. 18TrulyH551, LordH3068, the 14kingsH4428 of AssyriaH804 have laidH2717 wasteH2717 allH3605 the countriesH776 and their landsH776, 19and have thrownH5414 their godsH430 into the fireH784, for they were not godsH430 but only the 15workH4639 of humanH120 handsH3027, woodH6086 and stoneH68. So they have 16destroyedH6 them. 20But nowH6258 LordH3068, our GodH430, 17saveH3467 us from his handH3027, so that 18allH3605 the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH776 may knowH3045 that You aloneH905, 19LordH3068, are GodH430.”
21Then 20IsaiahH3470 the sonH1121 of AmozH531 sentH7971 word to HezekiahH2396, sayingH559, “ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478 saysH559: ‘BecauseH834 you have prayedH6419 to Me aboutH413 SennacheribH5576 kingH4428 of AssyriaH804, 22thisH2088 is the wordH1697 that the LordH3068 has spokenH1696 againstH5921 him: “She has shownH959 contemptH959 for you and deridedH3932 you, The 21virginH1330 22daughterH1323 of ZionH6726; The daughterH1323 of JerusalemH3389 has 23shakenH5128 her headH7218 behindH310 you!23WhomH4310 have you 24tauntedH2778 and blasphemedH1442? And againstH5921 whomH4310 have you raisedH7311 your voiceH6963 And 25haughtilyH4791 26raisedH5375 your eyesH5869? AgainstH413 the 27HolyH6918 OneH6918 of IsraelH3478!24ThroughH3027 your servantsH5650 you have tauntedH2778 the LordH136, And you have saidH559, ‘With my manyH7230 chariotsH7393 I cameH5927 upH5927 to the heightsH4791 of the mountainsH2022, To the remotestH3411 partsH3411 of 28LebanonH3844; And I cutH3772 downH3772 its tallH6967 29cedarsH730 and its choiceH4004 junipersH1265. And I will comeH935 to its 30highestH4791 peakH7093, its thickestH3759 31forestH3293.25I dugH6979 wells and drankH8354 watersH4325, And 32with the soleH3709 of my feetH6471 I driedH2717 upH2717 AllH3605 the canalsH2975 of 33EgyptH4693.’2634Have you not heardH8085? LongH7350 agoH7350 I didH6213 it, From ancientH6924 timesH3117H6924 I 35plannedH3335 it. NowH6258 36I have broughtH935 it aboutH935 That 37you would turnH7582 fortifiedH1219 citiesH5892 into 38ruinedH5327 heapsH1530.27Therefore their inhabitantsH3427 were 39powerlessH7116H3027, They were shatteredH2865 and putH954 toH954 shameH954; They were like the 40vegetationH6212 of the fieldH7704 and the greenH3419 grassH1877, Like 41grassH2682 on the housetopsH1406 42that is scorchedH7710 beforeH6440 it has grownH7054.28But I 43knowH3045 your sittingH3427 downH3427, Your goingH3318 outH3318, your comingH935 inH935, And your ragingH7264 againstH413 Me.29BecauseH3282 of your ragingH7264 againstH413 Me And because your 44complacencyH7600 has comeH5927 upH5927 to My earsH241, I will putH7760 My 45hookH2397 in your noseH639 And My 46bridleH4964 in your lipsH8193, And I will turnH7725 you backH7725 47by the wayH1870 that you cameH935.
30“Then thisH2088 shall be the signH226 for you: 48you will eatH398 this yearH8141 whatH5599 49growsH5599 ofH5599 itselfH5599, in the secondH8145 yearH8141 whatH5501 growsH5501 from the same, and in the thirdH7992 yearH8141 sowH2232, harvestH7114, plantH5193 vineyardsH3754, and eatH398 their fruitH6529. 31The 50survivorsH6413 that are 51leftH7604 of the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 will againH3254 52take rootH8328 downwardH4295 and bearH6213 fruitH6529 upwardH4605. 32For outH3318 of JerusalemH3389 a 53remnantH7611 will goH3318, and out of MountH2022 ZionH6726 survivorsH6413. The 54zealH7068 of the LordH3068 of armiesH6635 will performH6213 thisH2088.”’
33“ThereforeH3651, thisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559 aboutH413 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804: ‘He will not comeH935 to thisH2088 cityH5892 norH3808 shootH3384 an arrowH2671 thereH8033; and he will not comeH6923 beforeH6923 it with a shieldH4043, norH3808 heapH8210 upH8210 an 55assaultH5550 rampH5550 againstH5921 it.
