Isaiah 16:6-14
61We have heardH8085 of the prideH1347 of MoabH4124, an excessiveH3966 prideH1343; Even of his arroganceH1346, prideH1347, and furyH5678; 2His idleH907 boastsH907 are 3falseH3808H3653.7ThereforeH3651 MoabH4124 will wailH3213; everyoneH3605 of MoabH4124 will wailH3213. You will moanH1897 for the 4raisinH809 cakesH809 of 5Kir-haresethH7025 As those who are utterlyH389 strickenH5218.8For the fieldsH7709 of 6HeshbonH2809 have 7witheredH535, the vinesH1612 of 8SibmahH7643 as well; The lordsH1167 of the nationsH1471 have trampledH1986 downH1986 its choiceH8291 clustersH8291 Which reachedH5060 as farH5704 as JazerH3270 and wanderedH8582 to the desertsH4057; 9Its 10tendrilsH7976 spreadH5203 themselves outH5203 and passedH5674 overH5674 the seaH3220.9ThereforeH5921H3651 I will 11weepH1058 bitterlyH1065 for JazerH3270, for the vineH1612 of SibmahH7643; I will drenchH7301 you with my tearsH1832, 12HeshbonH2809 and ElealehH500; For the shoutingH1959 overH5921 your 13summerH7019 fruitsH7019 and your harvestH7105 has fallenH5307 awayH5307.1014GladnessH8057 and joyH1524 are takenH622 awayH622 from the fruitfulH3759 fieldH3759; In the 15vineyardsH3754 also there will beH7442 noH3808 criesH7442 ofH7442 joyH7442 or jubilantH7321 shoutingH7321, NoH3808 16treaderH1869 treadsH1869 out wineH3196 in the pressesH3342, For I have made the shoutingH1959 to ceaseH7673.11ThereforeH5921H3651 my 1718innerH4578 beingH4578 soundsH1993 like a harpH3658 for MoabH4124. And my 19heartH7130 for Kir-haresethH7025.12So it will comeH1961 aboutH1961 whenH3588 MoabH4124 20presentsH7200 himself, WhenH3588 he 21tiresH3811 himself upon his 22highH1116 placeH1116 And comesH935 to his sanctuaryH4720 to prayH6419, That he will not prevailH3201.
13ThisH2088 is the wordH1697 whichH834 the LordH3068 spokeH1696 earlierH3975 concerningH413 MoabH4124. 14But nowH6258 the LordH3068 has spokenH1696, sayingH559, “Within threeH7969 yearsH8141, as 2324a hiredH7916 workerH7916 would countH8141 them, the gloryH3519 of 25MoabH4124 will becomeH7034 contemptibleH7034 along with allH3605 his greatH7227 populationH1995, and his remnantH7605 will be veryH4213 smallH4592 and 26impotentH3808H3524.”
