2 Chronicles 7:19-22
19“1But ifH518 you turnH7725 awayH7725 and abandonH5800 My statutesH2708 and My commandmentsH4687 whichH834 I have setH5414 beforeH6440 you, and goH1980 and serveH5647 otherH312 godsH430 and worshipH2331 them,
202then I will uprootH5428 3you from My landH127 whichH834 I have givenH5414 4you, and thisH2088 houseH1004 whichH834 I have consecratedH6942 for My nameH8034 I will castH7993 outH7993 of My sightH6440; and I will makeH5414 it 5a proverbH4912 and an objectH8148 ofH8148 scornH8148 among allH3605 peoplesH5971.
21As for thisH2088 houseH1004, whichH834 was exaltedH5945, everyoneH3605 who passesH5674 by it will beH8074 astonishedH8074 and sayH559, ‘6WhyH4100 has the LordH3068 doneH6213 theseH3602 thingsH3602 to thisH2088 landH776 and to thisH2088 houseH1004?’
22And they will sayH559, ‘BecauseH5921H834 7they abandonedH5800 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of their fathersH1, whoH834 broughtH3318 them from the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and they adoptedH2388 otherH312 godsH430, and worshipedH2331 and servedH5647 them; thereforeH5921H3651 He has broughtH935 allH3605 thisH2088 adversityH7463 on them.’”
