2 Chronicles 7:19-22
19But if ye turn awayH7725, and forsakeH5800 my statutesH2708 and my commandmentsH4687, which I have setH5414 beforeH6440 you, and shall goH1980 and serveH5647 otherH312 godsH430, and worshipH7812 them; 20Then will I pluck them up by the rootsH5428 out of my landH127 which I have givenH5414 them; and this houseH1004, which I have sanctifiedH6942 for my nameH8034, will I cast outH7993 of my sightH6440, and will makeH5414 it to be a proverbH4912 and a bywordH8148 among all nationsH5971. 21And this houseH1004, which is highH5945, shall be an astonishmentH8074 to every one that passethH5674 by it; so that he shall sayH559, Why hath the LORDH3068 doneH6213 thus to this landH776, and to this houseH1004? 22And it shall be answeredH559, Because they forsookH5800 the LORDH3068 GodH430 of their fathersH1, who brought themH3318 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and laid holdH2388 on otherH312 godsH430, and worshippedH7812 them, and servedH5647 them: therefore hath he broughtH935 all this evilH7451 upon them.
