2 Chronicles 13:4-13
4Then AbijahH29 stoodH6965 on MountH2022 1ZemaraimH6787, whichH834 is in the hillH2022 countryH2022 of EphraimH669, and saidH559, “ListenH8085 to me, JeroboamH3379 and allH3605 IsraelH3478: 5Do you not knowH3045 that 2the LordH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478 gaveH5414 the ruleH4467 overH5921 IsraelH3478 foreverH5769 to DavidH1732 3and his sonsH1121 by 4a covenantH1285 of saltH4417? 6Yet 5JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, the servantH5650 of SolomonH8010 the sonH1121 of DavidH1732, roseH6965 upH6965 and rebelledH4775 againstH5921 his 6masterH113, 7and worthlessH7386 menH376 gatheredH6908 to him, wickedH1100 menH1121, who provedH553 tooH5921 strongH553 for RehoboamH7346, the sonH1121 of SolomonH8010, when 78he was youngH5288 and timidH7390H3824 and could not holdH2388 his ownH2388 againstH6440 them.
8“So nowH6258 you intendH559 to assertH2388 yourselves againstH6440 the kingdomH4467 of the LordH3068 9throughH3027 the sonsH1121 of DavidH1732, 10being a greatH7227 multitudeH1995 and having with you 11the goldenH2091 calvesH5695 whichH834 JeroboamH3379 madeH6213 for you as godsH430. 912Have you not drivenH5080 outH5080 the priestsH3548 of the LordH3068, the sonsH1121 of AaronH175 and the LevitesH3881, and madeH6213 for yourselves priestsH3548 like the peoplesH5971 of other landsH776? WhoeverH3605 comesH935 13to consecrateH4390H3027 himselfH3027 with a bullH6499H1121H1241 and sevenH7651 ramsH352, even he may becomeH1961 a priestH3548 of things that are 14not godsH430. 10But as for us, the LordH3068 is our GodH430, and we have not abandonedH5800 Him; and the sonsH1121 of AaronH175 are ministeringH8334 to the LordH3068 as priestsH3548, and the LevitesH3881 15attend to their workH4399. 11EveryH1242 morningH1242 and eveningH6153 16they 17burnH6999 to the LordH3068 burntH5930 offeringsH5930 and fragrantH5561 incenseH7004, and 18the showbreadH3899H4635 is set on the cleanH2889 tableH7979, and the goldenH2091 lampstandH4501 with its lampsH5216 is ready to lightH1197 everyH6153 eveningH6153; for we performH8104 our dutyH4931 to the LordH3068 our GodH430, but you have abandonedH5800 Him. 12Now beholdH2009, GodH430 is with us at our headH7218, and 19His priestsH3548 with the signalH8643 trumpetsH2689 to soundH7321 theH7321 warH7321 cryH7321 againstH5921 you. SonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, do not fightH3898 againstH5973 the LordH3068 GodH430 of your fathersH1, for you will not succeedH6743.”
13But JeroboamH3379 20had setH5437 an ambushH3993 to comeH935 from behindH310, so that Israel was in frontH6440 of JudahH3063 and the ambushH3993 was behindH4480H310 them.
