25I will also bringוְהֵבֵאתִ֨יve.he.ve.TiH935upon you a swordחֶ֗רֶבChe.revH2719which will executeנֹקֶ֙מֶת֙no.Ke.metH5358vengeanceנְקַם־ne.kam-H5359for the covenantבְּרִ֔יתbe.RitH1285;and when you gatherוְנֶאֱסַפְתֶּ֖םve.ne.'e.saf.TemH622together into your citiesעָרֵיכֶ֑ם'a.rei.KhemH5892,I will sendוְשִׁלַּ֤חְתִּיve.shi.Lach.tiH7971aplagueדֶ֙בֶר֙de.verH1698amongבְּת֣וֹכְכֶ֔םbe.Tokh.KhemH8432you, so that you will be handedבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027 H5414overH5414to the enemyH340.

26When I breakבְּשִׁבְרִ֣יbe.shiv.RiH7665your staffמַטֵּה־ma.teh-H4294of breadלֶחֶם֒le.ChemH3899,tenעֶ֣שֶׂר'E.serH6235womenנָשִׁ֤יםna.ShimH802will bakeוְ֠אָפוּVe.'a.fuH644your breadלַחְמְכֶם֙lach.me.KhemH3899in oneאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259ovenבְּתַנּ֣וּרbe.ta.NurH8574,and they will bringוְהֵשִׁ֥יבוּve.he.Shi.vuH7725backH7725your breadלַחְמְכֶ֖םlach.me.KhemH3899in rationedH4948amountsH4948, so that you willeatוַאֲכַלְתֶּ֖םva.'a.khal.TemH398and not beH7646satisfiedH7646.

27‘Yet ifוְאִ֨ם־ve.'Im-H518in spite of thisH2088you do not obeyתִשְׁמְע֖וּtish.me.'UH8085Me, but actוַהֲלַכְתֶּ֥םva.ha.lakh.TemH1980with hostilityבְּקֶֽרִי׃be.Ke.riH7147againstעִמִּ֖י'i.MiH5973Me,

28thenI will actוְהָלַכְתִּ֥יve.ha.lakh.TiH1980with wrathfulבַּחֲמַת־ba.cha.mat-H2534hostilityקֶ֑רִיKe.riH7147againstעִמָּכֶ֖ם'i.ma.KhemH5973you, and I for My partאַף־'af-H637will punishוְיִסַּרְתִּ֤יve.yi.sar.TiH3256you sevenH7651timesH7651for your sinsחַטֹּאתֵיכֶם׃cha.to.tei.khemH2403.

29Further,you will eatוַאֲכַלְתֶּ֖םva.'a.khal.TemH398the fleshבְּשַׂ֣רbe.SarH1320of your sonsבְּנֵיכֶ֑םbe.nei.KhemH1121,and you will eatתֹּאכֵֽלוּ׃to.Khe.luH398the fleshוּבְשַׂ֥רu.ve.SarH1320of your daughtersבְּנֹתֵיכֶ֖םbe.no.tei.KhemH1323.

30I thenwill destroyוְהִשְׁמַדְתִּ֞יve.hish.mad.TiH8045your highבָּמֹֽתֵיכֶ֗םba.mo.tei.KhemH1116placesH1116,and cutוְהִכְרַתִּי֙ve.hikh.ra.TiH3772downH3772yourincenseחַמָּ֣נֵיכֶ֔םcha.Ma.nei.KhemH2553altarsH2553, andpileוְנָֽתַתִּי֙ve.na.ta.TiH5414yourremainsפִּגְרֵיכֶ֔םpig.rei.KhemH6297on theremainsפִּגְרֵ֖יpig.ReiH6297of your idolsגִּלּוּלֵיכֶ֑םgi.lu.lei.KhemH1544,for My soulנַפְשִׁ֖יnaf.ShiH5315will loatheוְגָעֲלָ֥הve.ga.'a.LahH1602you.

31I will turnוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414your citiesעָֽרֵיכֶם֙'a.rei.KhemH5892intoruinsחָרְבָּ֔הchar.BahH2723as well and makeH8074yoursanctuariesמִקְדְּשֵׁיכֶ֑םmik.de.shei.KhemH4720desolateH8074, and I will notsmellH7381your soothingנִיחֹֽחֲכֶֽם׃ni.Cho.cha.KhemH5207aromasH7381.

32And I will makeH8074the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776desolateH8074so that your enemiesH340who settleהַיֹּשְׁבִ֖יםhai.yo.she.VimH3427in it will beH8074appalledH8074at it.

33You, however, Iwill scatterאֱזָרֶ֣ה'e.za.RehH2219among the nationsבַגּוֹיִ֔םva.go.YimH1471,and I will drawH7385outH7385a swordחָ֑רֶבCha.revH2719afterאַחֲרֵיכֶ֖ם'a.cha.rei.KhemH310you, as your landאַרְצְכֶם֙'ar.tze.KhemH776becomesוְהָיְתָ֤הve.hay.TahH1961desolateשְׁמָמָ֔הshe.ma.MahH8077and your citiesוְעָרֵיכֶ֖םve.'a.rei.KhemH5892becomeיִהְי֥וּyih.YuH1961ruinsחָרְבָּֽה׃char.BahH2723.

34‘Thenאָז֩'azH227the landהָאָ֜רֶץha.'A.retzH776will restoreתִּרְצֶ֨הtir.TzehH7521its Sabbathsשַׁבְּתֹתֶ֗יהָsha.be.to.Tei.haH7676allכֹּ֚לkolH3605the daysיְמֵ֣יye.MeiH3117of the desolationהֳשַׁמָּ֔הho.sha.MahH8074,while you are in your enemies’H340landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776;thenאָ֚ז'azH227the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776will restתִּשְׁבַּ֣תtish.BatH7673and restoreוְהִרְצָ֖תve.hir.TzatH7521its Sabbathsשַׁבְּתֹתֶֽיהָ׃sha.be.to.Tei.haH7676.

35Allכָּל־kol-H3605the daysיְמֵ֥יye.MeiH3117of itsdesolationהָשַּׁמָּ֖הha.sha.MahH8074it will haveH7673the restH7673whichאֲשֶׁ֧ר'a.SherH834it did not haveH7673on your Sabbathsבְּשַׁבְּתֹתֵיכֶ֖םbe.sha.be.to.tei.KhemH7676,while you were livingבְּשִׁבְתְּכֶ֥םbe.shiv.te.KhemH3427on it.

36As for those among you who are leftוְהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֣יםve.ha.nish.'a.RimH7604,I will also bringוְהֵבֵ֤אתִיve.he.Ve.tiH935despairמֹ֙רֶךְ֙mo.rekhH4816into their heartsבִּלְבָבָ֔םbil.va.VamH3824in the landsבְּאַרְצֹ֖תbe.'ar.TzotH776of their enemiesH340.And the soundק֚וֹלKolH6963of a scatteredנִדָּ֔ףni.DafH5086leafעָלֶ֣ה'a.LehH5929will chaseוְרָדַ֣ףve.ra.DafH7291them, and even when noוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369one is pursuingרֹדֵֽף׃ro.DefH7291they will fleeוְנָס֧וּve.na.SuH5127asH4499thoughH4499from the swordחֶ֛רֶבChe.revH2719,and they will fallוְנָפְל֖וּve.naf.LuH5307.

37They will then stumbleוְכָשְׁל֧וּve.kha.she.LuH3782over eachאִישׁ־'ish-H376otherבְּאָחִ֛יוbe.'a.ChivH251as if runningfrom the swordחֶ֖רֶבChe.revH2719,although noH369oneH369is pursuingוְרֹדֵ֣ףve.ro.DefH7291;and you will haveתִֽהְיֶ֤הtih.YehH1961noוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808strengthH8617toH8617standH8617beforeH6440your enemiesH340.

38Instead,you will perishוַאֲבַדְתֶּ֖םva.'a.vad.TemH6among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֑םba.go.YimH1471,and your enemies’H340landאֶ֖רֶץ'E.retzH776will consumeוְאָכְלָ֣הve.'a.khe.LahH398you.

39So those of you who may be leftוְהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֣יםve.ha.nish.'a.RimH7604will rotיִמַּ֙קּוּ֙yi.Ma.kuH4743awayיִמָּֽקּוּ׃yi.Ma.kuH4743because of their wrongdoingבַּֽעֲוֹנָ֔םba.'a.vo.NamH5771in the landsבְּאַרְצֹ֖תbe.'ar.TzotH776of your enemiesH340;and alsoוְאַ֛ףve.'AfH637because of the wrongdoingבַּעֲוֹנֹ֥תba.'a.vo.NotH5771of their forefathersאֲבֹתָ֖ם'a.vo.TamH1they will rotH4743awayH4743with them.

40‘But ifthey confessוְהִתְוַדּ֤וּve.hit.va.DuH3034their wrongdoingעֲוֹנָם֙'a.vo.NamH5771and the wrongdoingעֲוֹ֣ן'a.VonH5771of their forefathersאֲבֹתָ֔ם'a.vo.TamH1,in their unfaithfulnessH4603whichH834they committedH4603against Me, and alsoוְאַ֕ףve.'AfH637in their actingהָֽלְכ֥וּha.le.KhuH1980with hostilityבְּקֶֽרִי׃be.Ke.riH7147againstעִמִּ֖י'i.MiH5973Me--

41I alsoאַף־'af-H637was actingאֵלֵ֤ךְ'e.LekhH1980with hostilityבְּקֶ֔רִיbe.Ke.riH7147againstעִמָּם֙'i.MamH5973them, to bringוְהֵבֵאתִ֣יve.he.ve.TiH935them into the landבְּאֶ֖רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of their enemiesH340--orאוֹ־'ov-H176ifאָ֣ז'azH227their uncircumcisedהֶֽעָרֵ֔לhe.'a.RelH6189heartלְבָבָם֙le.va.VamH3824is humbledיִכָּנַ֗עyi.ka.Na'H3665so thatthey thenוְאָ֖זve.'AzH227makeH7521amendsH7521for their wrongdoingעֲוֹנָֽם׃'a.vo.NamH5771,

42then I will rememberוְזָכַרְתִּ֖יve.za.khar.TiH2142My covenantבְּרִיתִ֣יbe.ri.TiH1285with Jacobיַעֲק֑וֹבya.'a.KovH3290,and I will rememberאֶזְכֹּ֖ר'ez.KorH2142alsoוְאַף֩ve.'AfH637My covenantבְּרִיתִ֨יbe.ri.TiH1285with Isaacיִצְחָ֜קyitz.ChakH3327, andMy covenantבְּרִיתִ֧יbe.ri.TiH1285with Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֛ם'av.ra.HamH85as wellוְאַ֨ףve.'AfH637,and I will rememberאֶזְכֹּֽר׃'ez.KorH2142the landוְהָאָ֥רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776.

43For the landוְהָאָרֶץ֩ve.ha.'a.RetzH776will be abandonedתֵּעָזֵ֨בte.'a.ZevH5800by them, and will restoreH7521its Sabbathsשַׁבְּתֹתֶ֗יהָsha.be.to.Tei.haH7676while it is madeH8074desolateבָּהְשַׁמָּה֙bah.sha.MahH8074withoutH4480them. They, meanwhile, will be makingH7521amendsH7521for their wrongdoingעֲוֹנָ֑ם'a.vo.NamH5771,becauseH3282they rejectedמָאָ֔סוּma.'A.suH3988My ordinancesבְּמִשְׁפָּטַ֣יbe.mish.pa.TaiH4941and theirsoulנַפְשָֽׁם׃naf.ShamH5315loathedגָּעֲלָ֥הga.'a.LahH1602My statutesחֻקֹּתַ֖יchu.ko.TaiH2708.

44Yet in spiteוְאַף־ גַּם־ve.'af- gam-H637 H1571of thisH2088,when they are in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of their enemiesH340,I will not rejectמְאַסְתִּ֤יםme.'as.TimH3988them, norH3808will I soloatheגְעַלְתִּים֙ge.'al.TimH1602them asto destroyלְכַלֹּתָ֔םle.kha.lo.TamH3615them,breakingלְהָפֵ֥רle.ha.FerH6565My covenantבְּרִיתִ֖יbe.ri.TiH1285with them; for I am the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068their Godאֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃'e.lo.hei.HemH430.

45But I will rememberוְזָכַרְתִּ֥יve.za.khar.TiH2142for them thecovenantבְּרִ֣יתbe.RitH1285with their ancestorsרִאשֹׁנִ֑יםri.sho.NimH7223,whomאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834I broughtH3318outH3318of the landמֵאֶ֨רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֜יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714in the sightלְעֵינֵ֣יle.'ei.NeiH5869of the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֗םha.go.YimH1471, so thatI might be their Godלֵאלֹהִ֖יםle.lo.HimH430.I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.’”

46Theseאֵ֠לֶּה'E.lehH428are the statutesהַֽחֻקִּ֣יםha.chu.KimH2706and ordinancesוְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים֮ve.ha.mish.pa.TimH4941and lawsוְהַתּוֹרֹת֒ve.ha.to.RotH8451whichאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068establishedנָתַ֣ןna.TanH5414betweenH996Himself and the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478throughבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃ פmo.ShehH4872on Mountבְּהַ֥רbe.HarH2022Sinaiסִינַ֖יsi.NaiH5514.
