10So you shall consecrateוְקִדַּשְׁתֶּ֗םve.ki.dash.TemH6942the fiftiethהַחֲמִשִּׁים֙ha.cha.mi.ShimH2572yearH8141andproclaimוּקְרָאתֶ֥םu.ke.ra.TemH7121a releaseדְּר֛וֹרde.RorH1865throughout the landבָּאָ֖רֶץba.'A.retzH776to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605its inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֶ֑יהָyo.she.Vei.haH3427.It shall be a jubileeיוֹבֵ֥לyo.VelH3104for you, andeachאִ֚ישׁ'ishH376of you shall returnוְשַׁבְתֶּ֗םve.shav.TemH7725to his own propertyאֲחֻזָּת֔וֹ'a.chu.za.ToH272,and eachוְאִ֥ישׁve.'IshH376of you shall returnתָּשֻֽׁבוּ׃ta.Shu.vuH7725to his familyמִשְׁפַּחְתּ֖וֹmish.pach.ToH4940.

11You shall haveתִּהְיֶ֣הtih.YehH1961the fiftiethהַחֲמִשִּׁ֥יםha.cha.mi.ShimH2572yearH8141as a jubileeיוֹבֵ֣לyo.VelH3104;you shall not sowתִזְרָ֔עוּtiz.Ra.'uH2232,norH3808harvestתִקְצְרוּ֙tik.tze.RuH7114its aftergrowthסְפִיחֶ֔יהָse.fi.Chei.haH5599,norH3808gatherתִבְצְר֖וּtiv.tze.RuH1219grapesH1219fromits untrimmedנְזִרֶֽיהָ׃ne.zi.Rei.haH5139vinesH5139.

12For it is a jubileeיוֹבֵ֣לyo.VelH3104;it shall be holyקֹ֖דֶשׁKo.deshH6944to you. You shall eatתֹּאכְל֖וּto.khe.LuH398its produceתְּבוּאָתָֽהּ׃te.vu.'a.TahH8393from the fieldהַ֨שָּׂדֶ֔הha.sa.DehH7704.

13‘On thisH2088yearבִּשְׁנַ֥תbish.NatH8141of jubileeהַיּוֹבֵ֖לhai.yo.VelH3104eachאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376of you shall returnתָּשֻׁ֕בוּta.Shu.vuH7725to his own propertyאֲחֻזָּתֽוֹ׃'a.chu.za.ToH272.

14Furthermore, ifוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588you makeתִמְכְּר֤וּtim.ke.RuH4376a saleמִמְכָּר֙mi.KarH4465to your friendלַעֲמִיתֶ֔ךָla.'a.mi.Te.khaH5997,orא֥וֹ'oH176buyקָנֹ֖הka.NohH7069from your friend’sעֲמִיתֶ֑ךָ'a.mi.Te.khaH5997handמִיַּ֣דmi.YadH3027, you shall notwrongתּוֹנ֖וּto.NuH3238oneאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376anotherאָחִֽיו׃'a.ChivH251.

15Corresponding to the numberבְּמִסְפַּ֤רbe.mis.ParH4557of yearsשָׁנִים֙sha.NimH8141afterאַחַ֣ר'a.CharH310the jubileeהַיּוֹבֵ֔לhai.yo.VelH3104,you shall buyתִּקְנֶ֖הtik.NehH7069from yourfriendעֲמִיתֶ֑ךָ'a.mi.Te.khaH5997;he is to sellיִמְכָּר־yim.kor-H4376to you according to the numberבְּמִסְפַּ֥רbe.mis.ParH4557of yearsשְׁנֵֽי־she.nei-H8141of cropsתְבוּאֹ֖תte.vu.'OtH8393.

16In proportionלְפִ֣י׀le.FiH6310toa greaterH7230numberH7230of yearsהַשָּׁנִ֗יםha.sha.NimH8141you shall increaseתַּרְבֶּה֙tar.BehH7235its priceמִקְנָת֔וֹmik.na.ToH4736,and in proportionוּלְפִי֙u.le.FiH6310tofewerמְעֹ֣טme.'OtH4591yearsהַשָּׁנִ֔יםha.sha.NimH8141you shall decreaseתַּמְעִ֖יטtam.'ItH4591its priceמִקְנָת֑וֹmik.na.ToH4736, because it isthe numberמִסְפַּ֣רmis.ParH4557of cropsתְּבוּאֹ֔תte.vu.'OtH8393thathe is sellingמֹכֵ֖רmo.KherH4376to you.

17So you shall notwrongתוֹנוּ֙to.NuH3238oneאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376anotherעֲמִית֔וֹa.mi.ToH5997, but you shallfearוְיָרֵ֖אתָve.ya.Re.taH3372your Godמֵֽאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָme.'e.lo.Hei.khaH430;for I am the Lordיְהֹוָ֖הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃'e.lo.hei.KhemH430.

18‘You shall thereforefollowH6213My statutesחֻקֹּתַ֔יchu.ko.TaiH2708and keepתִּשְׁמְר֖וּtish.me.RuH8104My judgmentsמִשְׁפָּטַ֥יmish.pa.TaiH4941so as to carryH6213them outH6213, so thatyou may liveוִֽישַׁבְתֶּ֥םvi.shav.TemH3427securelyלָבֶֽטַח׃la.Ve.tachH983on the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776.

19Then the landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776will yieldוְנָתְנָ֤הve.nat.NahH5414its produceפִּרְיָ֔הּpir.YahH6529,so that you can eatוַאֲכַלְתֶּ֖םva.'a.khal.TemH398your fillלָשֹׂ֑בַעla.Soa'H7648and liveוִֽישַׁבְתֶּ֥םvi.shav.TemH3427securelyלָבֶ֖טַחla.Ve.tachH983on it.

20But ifוְכִ֣יve.KhiH3588you sayתֹאמְר֔וּto.me.RuH559, “Whatמַה־mah-H4100are we going to eatנֹּאכַ֤֖לno.KhalH398in the seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֑תha.she.vi.'ItH7637yearבַּשָּׁנָ֣הba.sha.NahH8141ifהֵ֚ןhenH2005we do not sowנִזְרָ֔עniz.Ra'H2232nor gatherנֶאֱסֹ֖ףne.'e.SofH622inH622our produceתְּבוּאָתֵֽנוּ׃te.vu.'a.Te.nuH8393?”

21thenI will so orderוְצִוִּ֤יתִיve.tzi.Vi.tiH6680My blessingבִּרְכָתִי֙bir.kha.TiH1293for you in the sixthהַשִּׁשִּׁ֑יתha.shi.ShitH8345yearבַּשָּׁנָ֖הba.sha.NahH8141that it will bringH6213forthH6213the produceהַתְּבוּאָ֔הha.te.vu.'AhH8393for threeלִשְׁלֹ֖שׁlish.LoshH7969yearsהַשָּׁנִֽים׃ha.sha.NimH8141.

22When you are sowingוּזְרַעְתֶּ֗םu.ze.ra'.TemH2232the eighthהַשְּׁמִינִ֔תha.she.mi.NitH8066yearהַשָּׁנָ֣הha.sha.NahH8141,you can still eatוַאֲכַלְתֶּ֖םva.'a.khal.TemH398oldיָשָׁ֑ןya.ShanH3465thingsיָשָֽׁן׃ya.ShanH3465from the produceהַתְּבוּאָ֣הha.te.vu.'AhH8393,eatingתֹּאכְל֖וּto.khe.LuH398the olduntilעַ֣ד׀'adH5704the ninthהַתְּשִׁיעִ֗תha.te.shi.'ItH8671yearהַשָּׁנָ֣הha.sha.NahH8141whenעַד־'ad-H5704its produceתְּב֣וּאָתָ֔הּte.Vu.'a.TahH8393comesH935inH935.

23‘The landוְהָאָ֗רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776,moreover, shall not be soldתִמָּכֵר֙ti.ma.KherH4376permanentlyלִצְמִתֻ֔תlitz.mi.TutH6783,becauseH3588the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776is Mine; for you are onlystrangersגֵרִ֧יםge.RimH1616and residentsוְתוֹשָׁבִ֛יםve.to.sha.VimH8453with Me.

24So for everyוּבְכֹ֖לu.ve.KholH3605pieceאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of your propertyאֲחֻזַּתְכֶ֑ם'a.chu.zat.KhemH272,you are to provideתִּתְּנ֥וּti.te.NuH5414for the redemptionגְּאֻלָּ֖הge.'u.LahH1353of the landלָאָֽרֶץ׃ סla.'A.retzH776.

25‘Ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588a fellowH251countrymanH251of yours becomesיָמ֣וּךְya.MukhH4134so poorH4134that he sellsוּמָכַ֖רu.ma.KharH4376part of his propertyמֵאֲחֻזָּת֑וֹme.'a.chu.za.ToH272,then his closestהַקָּרֹ֣בha.ka.RoH7138redeemerH1350is to comeוּבָ֤אu.Va'H935and buyH1350backH1350whatH4465his relativeH251has soldH4465.

26Or inH3588caseH3588someoneוְאִ֕ישׁve.'IshH376hasיִֽהְיֶה־yih.yeh-H1961noלֹ֥אlo'H3808redeemerגֹּאֵ֑לgo.'ElH1350, butrecoversוְהִשִּׂ֣יגָה יָד֔וֹve.hi.Si.gah ya.DoH3027 H5381to findוּמָצָ֖אu.ma.Tza'H4672sufficientH1767meansH1767for its redemptionגְאֻלָּתֽוֹ׃ge.'u.la.ToH1353,

27then he shall calculateוְחִשַּׁב֙ve.chi.ShavH2803the yearsשְׁנֵ֣יshe.NeiH8141since its saleמִמְכָּר֔וֹmi.ka.RoH4465and refundוְהֵשִׁיב֙ve.he.ShivH7725the balanceהָ֣עֹדֵ֔ףha.'o.DefH5736to the manלָאִ֖ישׁla.'IshH376to whomאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he soldמָֽכַר־ma.khar-H4376it, and so returnוְשָׁ֖בve.ShavH7725to his propertyלַאֲחֻזָּתֽוֹ׃la.'a.chu.za.ToH272.

28But ifוְאִ֨םve.'ImH518he has not foundמָֽצְאָ֜הma.tze.'AhH4672sufficientדֵּי֮deiH1767meansיָד֗וֹya.DoH3027to getH7725it backH7725for himself, then whatH4465he has soldH4465shall remainוְהָיָ֣הve.ha.YahH1961in the handsבְּיַד֙be.YadH3027of its purchaserהַקֹּנֶ֣הha.ko.NehH7069untilעַ֖ד'adH5704the yearשְׁנַ֣תshe.NatH8141of jubileeהַיּוֹבֵ֑לhai.yo.VelH3104;but at the jubileeבַּיֹּבֵ֔לbai.yo.VelH3104it shallrevertוְיָצָא֙ve.ya.Tza'H3318, so thathe may returnH7725to his propertyלַאֲחֻזָּתֽוֹ׃la.'a.chu.za.ToH272.

29‘Likewise, ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588a manוְאִ֗ישׁve.'IshH376sellsיִמְכֹּ֤רyim.KorH4376a dwellingמוֹשַׁב֙mo.ShavH4186houseבֵּית־beit-H1004in a walledחוֹמָ֔הcho.MahH2346cityעִ֣יר'irH5892,then his redemptionגְּאֻלָּת֔וֹge.'u.la.ToH1353rightגְאֻלָּתֽוֹ׃ge.'u.la.ToH1353remainsוְהָיְתָה֙ve.hay.TahH1961validuntilעַד־'ad-H5704a fullתֹּ֖םtomH8552yearשְׁנַ֣תshe.NatH8141afterH4480its saleמִמְכָּר֑וֹmi.ka.RoH4465;his rightH1353ofH1353redemptionH1353lastsתִּהְיֶ֥הtih.YehH1961a fullH3117yearH3117.

30But ifוְאִ֣םve.'ImH518it is not boughtH1350backH1350for him withinעַד־'ad-H5704the spaceמְלֹ֣אתme.LotH4390of a fullתְמִימָה֒te.mi.MahH8549yearשָׁנָ֣הsha.NahH8141,then the houseהַבַּ֨יִתha.Ba.yitH1004that is in the walledחֹמָ֗הcho.MahH2346cityבָּעִ֜ירba.'IrH5892passesוְ֠קָםVe.komH6965permanentlyלַצְּמִיתֻ֛תla.tze.mi.TutH6783to its purchaserלַקֹּנֶ֥הla.ko.NehH7069throughout his generationsלְדֹרֹתָ֑יוle.do.ro.TavH1755; it does notrevertיֵצֵ֖אye.Tze'H3318in the jubileeבַּיֹּבֵֽל׃bai.yo.VelH3104.

31The housesוּבָתֵּ֣יu.va.TeiH1004of the villagesהַחֲצֵרִ֗יםha.cha.tze.RimH2691,however, whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834haveH369noH369surroundingסָבִ֔יבsa.VivH5439wallחֹמָה֙cho.MahH2346,shall be regardedיֵחָשֵׁ֑בye.cha.ShevH2803as openהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776fieldsשְׂדֵ֥הse.DehH7704;they haveתִּהְיֶה־tih.yeh-H1961redemptionגְּאֻלָּה֙ge.'u.LahH1353rightsH1353andrevertיֵצֵֽא׃ye.Tze'H3318in the jubileeוּבַיֹּבֵ֖לu.vai.yo.VelH3104.

32As for thecitiesוְעָרֵי֙ve.'a.ReiH5892of the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881,the Levitesלַלְוִיִּֽם׃lal.vi.YimH3881haveתִּהְיֶ֥הtih.YehH1961a permanentעוֹלָ֖םo.LamH5769rightגְּאֻלַּ֥תge.'u.LatH1353ofH1353redemptionH1353for the housesבָּתֵּ֖יba.TeiH1004of the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892which are their possessionאֲחֻזָּתָ֑ם'a.chu.za.TamH272.

33Whatוַאֲשֶׁ֤רva.'a.SherH834, therefore,belongsמִן־min-H4480to the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881may be redeemedיִגְאַל֙yig.'AlH1350,and a houseבַּ֛יִתBa.yitH1004saleמִמְכַּר־mi.kar-H4465in the cityוְעִ֥ירve.'IrH5892of this possessionאֲחֻזָּת֖וֹ'a.chu.za.ToH272revertsוְיָצָ֧אve.ya.Tza'H3318in the jubileeבַּיֹּבֵ֑לbai.yo.VelH3104,becauseכִּ֣יkiH3588the housesבָתֵּ֞יva.TeiH1004of the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֗םhal.vi.YimH3881are their possessionאֲחֻזָּתָ֔ם'a.chu.za.TamH272amongבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

34But pastureמִגְרַ֥שׁmig.RashH4054fieldsוּֽשְׂדֵ֛הu.se.DehH7704of their citiesעָרֵיהֶ֖ם'a.rei.HemH5892shall not be soldיִמָּכֵ֑רyi.ma.KherH4376,for that is their permanentעוֹלָ֛םo.LamH5769possessionאֲחֻזַּ֥ת'a.chu.ZatH272.

35‘Now inH3588caseH3588a countrymanאָחִ֔יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251of yours becomesיָמ֣וּךְya.MukhH4134poorH4134and hismeansיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027amongH5973you falterוּמָ֥טָהu.Ma.tahH4131,then you are to sustainוְהֶֽחֱזַ֣קְתָּve.he.che.Zak.taH2388him, likea strangerגֵּ֧רgerH1616or a residentוְתוֹשָׁ֛בve.to.ShavH8453,so that he may liveוָחַ֖יva.ChaiH2421with you.

36Do not takeתִּקַּ֤חti.KachH3947any kind ofinterestנֶ֣שֶׁךְ וְתַרְבִּ֔יתNe.shekh ve.tar.BitH5392 H8636from him, butfearוְיָרֵ֖אתָve.ya.Re.taH3372your Godמֵֽאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָme.'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,so that your countrymanאָחִ֖יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251may liveוְחֵ֥יve.CheiH2421with you.

37You shall not giveH5414him your silverכַּסְפְּךָ֔kas.pe.KhaH3701at interestבְּנֶ֑שֶׁךְbe.Ne.shekhH5392,norH3808your foodאָכְלֶֽךָ׃'a.khe.Le.khaH400for profitוּבְמַרְבִּ֖יתu.ve.mar.BitH4768.

38I am the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם'e.Lo.hei.KhemH430,whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834broughtH3318you outH3318of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714to giveלָתֵ֤תla.TetH5414you the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנַ֔עַןke.Na.'anH3667, andto be your Godלֵאלֹהִֽים׃ סle.lo.HimH430.

39‘Nowifוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588a countrymanאָחִ֛יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251of yours becomesיָמ֥וּךְya.MukhH4134so poorH4134withH5973regardH5973toH5973you that he sellsוְנִמְכַּר־ve.nim.kar-H4376himself to you, you shall not subjectתַעֲבֹ֥דta.'a.VodH5647him to a slave’sעָֽבֶד׃'A.vedH5650serviceעֲבֹ֥דַת'a.Vo.datH5656.

40He shall be with you as a hiredכְּשָׂכִ֥ירke.sa.KhirH7916workerH7916, as if he werea foreignH8453residentכְּתוֹשָׁ֖בke.to.ShavH8453;he shall serveיַעֲבֹ֥דya.'a.VodH5647with you up to the yearשְׁנַ֥תshe.NatH8141of jubileeהַיֹּבֵ֖לhai.yo.VelH3104.

41He shall then leaveוְיָצָא֙ve.ya.Tza'H3318you, he and his sonsוּבָנָ֣יוu.va.NavH1121with him, and shall goH7725backH7725to his familyמִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹmish.pach.ToH4940,so that he may returnH7725to the propertyאֲחֻזַּ֥ת'a.chu.ZatH272of his forefathersאֲבֹתָ֖יו'a.vo.TavH1.

42For they are My servantsעֲבָדַ֣י'a.va.DaiH5650whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I broughtH3318outH3318from the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714;they are not to be soldיִמָּכְר֖וּyi.ma.khe.RuH4376ina slaveעָֽבֶד׃'A.vedH5650saleמִמְכֶּ֥רֶתmi.Ke.retH4466.

43You shall not ruleתִרְדֶּ֥הtir.DehH7287over him withseverityבְּפָ֑רֶךְbe.Fa.rekhH6531,but are to revereוְיָרֵ֖אתָve.ya.Re.taH3372your Godמֵאֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃me.'e.lo.Hei.khaH430.

44As for your maleוְעַבְדְּךָ֥ve.'av.de.KhaH5650and femaleוַאֲמָתְךָ֖va.'a.ma.te.KhaH519slavesעֶ֥בֶד וְאָמָֽה׃'E.ved ve.'a.MahH519 H5650whomH834you may haveיִהְיוּ־yih.yu-H1961--you may acquireתִּקְנ֖וּtik.NuH7069maleH5650and femaleH519slavesH519 H5650from the pagannationsהַגּוֹיִ֗םha.go.YimH1471that are aroundסְבִיבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םse.vi.Vo.tei.KhemH5439you.

45You may alsoוְ֠גַםVe.gamH1571acquireתִּקְנ֔וּtik.NuH7069themfrom the sonsמִבְּנֵ֨יmi.be.NeiH1121of the foreignH8453residentsהַתּוֹשָׁבִ֜יםha.to.sha.VimH8453who resideהַגָּרִ֤יםha.ga.RimH1481amongH5973you, and from their familiesוּמִמִּשְׁפַּחְתָּם֙u.mi.mish.pach.TamH4940whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834are with you, whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834they will have producedהוֹלִ֖ידוּho.Li.duH3205in your landבְּאַרְצְכֶ֑םbe.'ar.tze.KhemH776;they also may becomeוְהָי֥וּve.ha.YuH1961your possessionלַֽאֲחֻזָּֽה׃La.'a.chu.ZahH272.

50He then, with his purchaserקֹנֵ֔הוּko.Ne.huH7069,shall calculateוְחִשַּׁב֙ve.chi.ShavH2803from the yearמִשְּׁנַת֙mi.she.NatH8141when he soldהִמָּ֣כְרוֹhi.Ma.khe.rovH4376himself to him up to the yearשְׁנַ֣תshe.NatH8141of jubileeהַיֹּבֵ֑לhai.yo.VelH3104;and the priceכֶּ֤סֶףKe.sefH3701of his saleמִמְכָּרוֹ֙mi.ka.RoH4465shall correspondH1961to the numberבְּמִסְפַּ֣רbe.mis.ParH4557of yearsשָׁנִ֔יםsha.NimH8141calculated.
