21TheyutterlyH2763destroyedוַֽיַּחֲרִ֙ימוּ֙vai.ya.cha.Ri.muH2763everythingכָּל־kol-H3605in the cityבָּעִ֔ירba.'IrH5892,bothH4480 H5704manמֵאִישׁ֙me.'IshH376and womanאִשָּׁ֔ה'i.ShahH802,youngמִנַּ֖עַרmi.Na.'arH5288and oldזָקֵ֑ןza.KenH2205,and oxשׁ֥וֹרShorH7794,sheepוָשֶׂ֛הva.SehH7716,and donkeyוַחֲמ֖וֹרva.cha.MorH2543,with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחָֽרֶב׃Cha.revH2719.

22And Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559to the twoוְלִשְׁנַ֨יִםve.lish.Na.yimH8147menH376who had spiedH7270outH7270the landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776, “Goבֹּ֖אוּBo.'uH935into the prostitute’sהַזּוֹנָ֑הha.zo.NahH2181houseבֵּית־beit-H1004and bringוְהוֹצִ֨יאוּve.ho.Tzi.'uH3318the womanH802and allכָּל־kol-H3605she has outH3318of thereמִשָּׁ֤םmi.ShamH8033,justH3512asH3512you have swornנִשְׁבַּעְתֶּ֖םnish.ba'.TemH7650to her.”

23So the youngהַנְּעָרִ֣יםha.ne.'a.RimH5288menH5288who were spiesהַֽמְרַגְּלִ֗יםham.ra.ge.LimH7270wentH935inH935andbroughtH3318outH3318Rahabרָ֠חָבra.choH7343,her fatherאָבִ֨יהָ'a.Vi.haH1,her motherאִמָּ֤הּ'i.MahH517,her brothersאַחֶ֙יהָ֙'a.Chei.haH251,and allכָּל־kol-H3605she had; they also broughtH3318outH3318allכָּל־kol-H3605her relativesמִשְׁפְּחוֹתֶ֖יהָmish.pe.cho.Tei.haH4940,and placedוַיַּ֨נִּיח֔וּםvai.Ya.ni.ChumH5117them outsideמִח֖וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the campלְמַחֲנֵ֥הle.ma.cha.NehH4264of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

24Thenthey burnedשָׂרְפ֥וּsa.re.FuH8313the cityוְהָעִ֛ירve.ha.'IrH5892with fireבָאֵ֖שׁva.'EshH784,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605that was in it. OnlyH7534the silverהַכֶּ֣סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701and goldוְהַזָּהָ֗בve.ha.za.HavH2091,and the articlesוּכְלֵ֤יu.khe.LeiH3627of bronzeהַנְּחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ha.ne.Cho.shetH5178and ironוְהַבַּרְזֶ֔לve.ha.bar.ZelH1270,they putנָתְנ֖וּna.te.NuH5414into the treasuryאוֹצַ֥ר'o.TzarH214of thehouseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

25However,Rahabרָחָ֣בra.ChavH7343the prostituteהַ֠זּוֹנָהHa.zo.nahH2181and her father’sאָבִ֤יהָ'a.Vi.haH1householdבֵּ֨יתbeitH1004and allכָּל־kol-H3605she had, Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091sparedהֶחֱיָ֣הhe.che.YahH2421;and she has livedוַתֵּ֙שֶׁב֙va.Te.shevH3427in the midstבְּקֶ֣רֶבbe.Ke.revH7130of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478to thisהַזֶּ֑הha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117,becauseכִּ֤יkiH3588she hidהֶחְבִּ֙יאָה֙hech.Bi.'ahH2244the messengersהַמַּלְאָכִ֔יםha.mal.'a.KhimH4397whomH834Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091sentשָׁלַ֥חsha.LachH7971to spyלְרַגֵּ֥לle.ra.GelH7270outH7270Jerichoיְרִיחֽוֹ׃ פye.ri.ChoH3405.

26Then Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091made them takeH7650anH7650oathוַיַּשְׁבַּ֣עvai.yash.Ba'H7650at that timeבָּעֵ֥תba.'EtH6256,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “Cursedאָר֨וּר'a.RurH779beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068is the manהָאִ֜ישׁha.'IshH376whoאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834risesH6965upH6965and buildsוּבָנָ֞הu.va.NahH1129thisH2088cityהָעִ֤ירha.'IrH5892Jerichoיְרִיח֔וֹye.ri.ChoH3405; with the loss ofhis firstbornבִּבְכֹר֣וֹbiv.kho.RoH1060he will layH3245its foundationH3245, and with the loss ofhis youngestוּבִצְעִיר֖וֹu.vitz.'i.RoH6810sonH6810he will setיַצִּ֥יבya.TzivH5324upH5324its gatesדְּלָתֶֽיהָ׃de.la.Tei.haH1817.”

27Sothe Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068was with Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091, and hisfameשָׁמְע֖וֹsha.me.'OH8089was in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.
