21TheyutterlyH2763destroyedוַֽיַּחֲרִ֙ימוּ֙vai.ya.cha.Ri.muH2763everythingכָּל־kol-H3605in the cityבָּעִ֔ירba.'IrH5892,bothH4480 H5704manמֵאִישׁ֙me.'IshH376and womanאִשָּׁ֔ה'i.ShahH802,youngמִנַּ֖עַרmi.Na.'arH5288and oldזָקֵ֑ןza.KenH2205,and oxשׁ֥וֹרShorH7794and sheepוָשֶׂ֛הva.SehH7716and donkeyוַחֲמ֖וֹרva.cha.MorH2543,with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחָֽרֶב׃Cha.revH2719.

22Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559to the twoוְלִשְׁנַ֨יִםve.lish.Na.yimH8147menH376who had spiedהַֽמְרַגְּלִ֤יםham.ra.ge.LimH7270out the landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776, “Goבֹּ֖אוּBo.'uH935into the harlot’sהָאִשָּׁ֣ה הַזּוֹנָ֑הha.'i.Shah ha.zo.NahH802 H2181houseבֵּית־beit-H1004and bringוְהוֹצִ֨יאוּve.ho.Tzi.'uH3318the womanהָֽאִשָּׁה֙ha.'i.ShahH802and allכָּל־kol-H3605she has out of thereמִשָּׁ֤םmi.ShamH8033,as you have swornנִשְׁבַּעְתֶּ֖םnish.ba'.TemH7650to her.”

23So the youngהַנְּעָרִ֣יםha.ne.'a.RimH5288menH5288who were spiesהַֽמְרַגְּלִ֗יםham.ra.ge.LimH7270wentוַיָּבֹ֜אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935in andbroughtוַיֹּצִ֡יאוּvai.yo.Tzi.'uH3318out Rahabרָ֠חָבra.choH7343and her fatherאָבִ֨יהָ'a.Vi.haH1and her motherאִמָּ֤הּ'i.MahH517and her brothersאַחֶ֙יהָ֙'a.Chei.haH251and allכָּל־kol-H3605she had; they also broughtהוֹצִ֑יאוּho.Tzi.'uH3318out allכָּל־kol-H3605her relativesמִשְׁפְּחוֹתֶ֖יהָmish.pe.cho.Tei.haH4940and placedוַיַּ֨נִּיח֔וּםvai.Ya.ni.ChumH5117them outsideמִח֖וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the campלְמַחֲנֵ֥הle.ma.cha.NehH4264of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

24They burnedשָׂרְפ֥וּsa.re.FuH8313the cityוְהָעִ֛ירve.ha.'IrH5892with fireבָאֵ֖שׁva.'EshH784,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605that was in it. OnlyH7534the silverהַכֶּ֣סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701and goldוְהַזָּהָ֗בve.ha.za.HavH2091,and articlesוּכְלֵ֤יu.khe.LeiH3627of bronzeהַנְּחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ha.ne.Cho.shetH5178and ironוְהַבַּרְזֶ֔לve.ha.bar.ZelH1270,they putנָתְנ֖וּna.te.NuH5414into the treasuryאוֹצַ֥ר'o.TzarH214of thehouseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

26Then Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091made them takeH7650an oathוַיַּשְׁבַּ֣עvai.yash.Ba'H7650at that timeבָּעֵ֥תba.'EtH6256,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “Cursedאָר֨וּר'a.RurH779beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068is the manהָאִ֜ישׁha.'IshH376whoאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834risesיָקוּם֙ya.KumH6965up and buildsוּבָנָ֞הu.va.NahH1129thisH2088cityהָעִ֤ירha.'IrH5892Jerichoיְרִיח֔וֹye.ri.ChoH3405; with the loss ofhis firstbornבִּבְכֹר֣וֹbiv.kho.RoH1060he shall layH3245its foundationH3245, and with the loss ofhis youngestוּבִצְעִיר֖וֹu.vitz.'i.RoH6810sonH6810he shall setיַצִּ֥יבya.TzivH5324up its gatesדְּלָתֶֽיהָ׃de.la.Tei.haH1817.”

27Sothe Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068was with Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091, and hisfameשָׁמְע֖וֹsha.me.'OH8089was in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.
