1And it came to pass a longרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227timeמִיָּמִ֣יםmi.ya.MimH3117afterאַ֠חֲרֵי'A.cha.reiH310that Yhwhיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068had given restהֵנִ֨יחַhe.Ni.achH5117unto Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לle.Yis.ra.'ElH3478from all their enemiesאֹיְבֵיהֶ֖ם'o.ye.vei.HemH341round aboutמִסָּבִ֑יבmi.sa.VivH5439,that Joshuaוִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַvi.ho.Shu.a'H3091waxed oldזָקֵ֔ןza.KenH2204andstrickenבָּ֖אba'H935in ageבַּיָּמִֽים׃bai.ya.MimH3117.

2And Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091calledוַיִּקְרָ֤אvai.yik.Ra'H7121for all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478, andfor their eldersלִזְקֵנָיו֙liz.ke.NavH2205,and for their headsוּלְרָאשָׁ֔יוu.le.ra.ShavH7218,and for their judgesוּלְשֹׁפְטָ֖יוu.le.sho.fe.TavH8199,and for their officersוּלְשֹֽׁטְרָ֑יוu.le.sho.te.RavH7860,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, I am oldזָקַ֔נְתִּיza.Kan.tiH2204andstrickenבָּ֖אתִיBa.tiH935in ageבַּיָּמִֽים׃bai.ya.MimH3117:

3And ye have seenרְאִיתֶ֗םre.'i.TemH7200all that Yhwhיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֛ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430hath doneעָשָׂ֜ה'a.SahH6213unto all these nationsהַגּוֹיִ֥םha.go.YimH1471becauseמִפְּנֵיכֶ֑םmi.pe.nei.KhemH6440of you; for Yhwhיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430ishe that hath foughtהַנִּלְחָ֥םha.nil.ChamH3898for you.

4Beholdרְאוּ֩re.'UH7200,I have dividedהִפַּ֨לְתִּיhi.Pal.tiH5307unto you by lot these nationsהַ֠גּוֹיִםHa.go.yimH1471that remainהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֥יםha.nish.'a.RimH7604,to be an inheritanceבְּנַחֲלָ֖הbe.na.cha.LahH5159for your tribesלְשִׁבְטֵיכֶ֑םle.shiv.tei.KhemH7626,from Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֗ןhai.yar.DenH3383,with all the nationsהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471that I have cut offהִכְרַ֔תִּיhikh.Ra.tiH3772,even unto the greatהַגָּד֖וֹלha.ga.DolH1419seaוְהַיָּ֥םve.hai.YamH3220westwardמְב֥וֹא הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃me.Vo' ha.Sha.meshH8121 H3996.

5And Yhwhוַיהוָ֣הva.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֗ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,he shall expelיֶהְדֳּפֵ֣םyeh.do.FemH1920them from beforeמִפְּנֵיכֶ֔םmi.pe.nei.KhemH6440you, and driveוְהוֹרִ֥ישׁve.ho.RishH3423them from out of your sightמִלִּפְנֵיכֶ֑םmi.lif.nei.KhemH6440;and ye shall possessוִֽירִשְׁתֶּם֙vi.rish.TemH3423their landאַרְצָ֔ם'ar.TzamH776,as Yhwhיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430hath promisedדִּבֶּ֛רdi.BerH1696unto you.

6Be ye therefore veryמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966courageousוַחֲזַקְתֶּ֣םva.cha.zak.TemH2388to keepלִשְׁמֹ֣רlish.MorH8104and to doוְלַעֲשׂ֔וֹתve.la.'a.SotH6213all that is writtenהַכָּת֔וּבha.ka.TuvH3789in the bookבְּסֵ֖פֶרbe.Se.ferH5612of the lawתּוֹרַ֣תto.RatH8451of Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872,that ye turnסוּר־sur-H5493not aside therefrom tothe right handיָמִ֥יןya.MinH3225or tothe leftוּשְׂמֹֽאול׃u.se.MolH8040;

7That ye comeבוֹא֙Vo'H935not among these nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֣םba.go.YimH1471,these that remainהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֥יםha.nish.'a.RimH7604among you; neither make mentionתַזְכִּ֙ירוּ֙taz.Ki.ruH2142of the nameוּבְשֵׁ֨םu.ve.ShemH8034of their godsאֱלֹהֵיהֶ֤ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430,nor cause to swearתַשְׁבִּ֔יעוּtash.Bi.'uH7650by them,neither serveתַעַבְד֔וּםta.'av.DumH5647them, nor bowתִֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּtish.ta.cha.VuH7812yourselves unto them:

8But cleaveתִּדְבָּ֑קוּtid.Ba.kuH1692unto Yhwhבַּיהוָ֥הba.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,as ye have doneעֲשִׂיתֶ֔ם'a.si.TemH6213unto this dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

9For Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068hath driven outוַיּ֤וֹרֶשׁvai.Yo.reshH3423from beforeמִפְּנֵיכֶ֔םmi.pe.nei.KhemH6440you greatגְּדֹלִ֣יםge.do.LimH1419nationsגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471and strongוַעֲצוּמִ֑יםva.'a.tzu.MimH6099: but as foryou, no manאִישׁ֙'ishH376hath been able to standעָ֤מַד'A.madH5975beforeבִּפְנֵיכֶ֔םbif.nei.KhemH6440you unto this dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

10Oneאֶחָ֥ד'e.ChadH259manאִישׁ־'ish-H376of you shall chaseיִרְדָּף־yir.dof-H7291a thousandאָ֑לֶף'A.lefH505:for Yhwhיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֗ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430, he it isthat fightethהַנִּלְחָ֣םha.nil.ChamH3898for you, as he hath promisedדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696you.

11Take goodמְאֹ֖דme.'OdH3966heedוְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּ֥םve.nish.mar.TemH8104therefore unto yourselvesלְנַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶ֑םle.naf.sho.tei.KhemH5315,that ye loveלְאַהֲבָ֖הle.'a.ha.VahH157Yhwhיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃'e.lo.hei.KhemH430.

12Else if ye do in any wiseשׁ֣וֹבShovH7725go backתָּשׁ֗וּבוּta.Shu.vuH7725,and cleaveוּדְבַקְתֶּם֙u.de.vak.TemH1692unto the remnantבְּיֶ֙תֶר֙be.Ye.terH3499of these nationsהַגּוֹיִ֣םha.go.YimH1471, eventhese that remainהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֥יםha.nish.'a.RimH7604among you, and shall make marriagesוְהִֽתְחַתַּנְתֶּ֥םve.hit.cha.tan.TemH2859with them, and go inוּבָאתֶ֥םu.va.TemH935unto them, and they to you:

13Knowיָד֙וֹעַ֙ya.Do.a'H3045for a certaintyתֵּֽדְע֔וּte.de.'UH3045that Yhwhיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֗ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430will no moreיוֹסִ֜יףyo.SifH3254drive outלְהוֹרִ֛ישׁle.ho.RishH3423any ofthese nationsהַגּוֹיִ֥םha.go.YimH1471from beforeמִלִּפְנֵיכֶ֑םmi.lif.nei.KhemH6440you; but they shall be snaresלְפַ֣חle.FachH6341and trapsוּלְמוֹקֵ֗שׁu.le.mo.KeshH4170unto you, and scourgesוּלְשֹׁטֵ֤טu.le.sho.TetH7850in your sidesבְּצִדֵּיכֶם֙be.tzi.dei.KhemH6654,and thornsוְלִצְנִנִ֣יםve.litz.ni.NimH6796in your eyesבְּעֵינֵיכֶ֔םbe.'ei.nei.KhemH5869,until ye perishאֲבָדְכֶ֗ם'a.va.de.KhemH6from off this goodהַטּוֹבָה֙ha.to.VahH2896landהָאֲדָמָ֤הha.'a.da.MahH127which Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃'e.lo.hei.KhemH430hath givenנָתַ֣ןna.TanH5414you.

14And, behold, this dayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117I amgoingהוֹלֵךְ֙ho.leKhH1980the wayבְּדֶ֖רֶךְbe.De.rekhH1870of all the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776:and ye knowוִידַעְתֶּ֞םvi.da'.TemH3045in all your heartsלְבַבְכֶ֣םle.vav.KhemH3824and in all your soulsנַפְשְׁכֶ֗םnaf.she.KhemH5315,that not oneאֶחָ֜ד'e.ChadH259thingדָּבָ֨רda.VarH1697hath failedנָפַל֩na.FalH5307of all the goodהַטּוֹבִ֗יםha.to.VimH2896thingsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697which Yhwhיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶם֙'e.lo.hei.KhemH430spakeדִּבֶּ֜רdi.BerH1696concerning you; all are come to passבָּ֣אוּBa.'uH935unto you, andnot oneאֶחָֽד׃'e.ChadH259thingדָּבָ֥רda.VarH1697hath failedנָפַ֥לna.FalH5307thereof.
