2He didוַיַּ֥עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213evilהָרַ֖עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and followedוַ֠יֵּלֶךְ אַחַ֨רVai.ye.lekh 'a.CharH1980 H310the sinsחַטֹּ֜אתcha.TotH2403of Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֧םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Nebatנְבָ֛טne.VatH5028,into whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834he misledהֶחֱטִ֥יאhe.che.Ti'H2398Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478;he did not turnסָ֥רsarH5493from them.

3So the angerאַ֥ף'afH639of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068was kindledוַיִּֽחַר־vai.yi.char-H2734against Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,and He continuallyכָּל־ הַיָּמִֽים׃kol- hai.ya.MimH3605 H3117handedH5414 H3027them overH5414toHazaelחֲזָאֵ֣לcha.za.'ElH2371kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Aramאֲרָ֗ם'a.RamH758, and toBen-hadadH1130,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Hazaelחֲזָאֵ֖לcha.za.'ElH2371.

4ThenJehoahazיְהוֹאָחָ֖זye.ho.'a.ChazH3059appeasedוַיְחַ֥ל פְּנֵ֣יvay.Chal pe.NeiH2470 H6440the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068listenedוַיִּשְׁמַ֤עvai.yish.Ma'H8085to him; forHe sawרָאָה֙ra.'AhH7200the oppressionלַ֣חַץLa.chatzH3906of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,howH3588the kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Aramאֲרָֽם׃'a.RamH758oppressedלָחַ֥ץla.ChatzH3905them.

5And the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068gaveוַיִּתֵּ֨ןvai.yi.TenH5414Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙le.Yis.ra.'ElH3478asaviorמוֹשִׁ֔יעַmo.Shi.a'H3467, so that theyescapedוַיֵּ֣צְא֔וּvai.Ye.tze.'UH3318from underמִתַּ֖חַתmi.Ta.chatH8478the handיַד־yad-H3027of the Arameansאֲרָ֑ם'a.RamH758;and the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478livedוַיֵּשְׁב֧וּvai.ye.she.VuH3427in their tentsבְּאָהֳלֵיהֶ֖םbe.'o.ho.lei.HemH168as previouslyכִּתְמ֥וֹל שִׁלְשֽׁוֹם׃kit.Mol shil.ShomH8032 H8543.

6Neverthelessאַ֠ךְ'akhH389they did not abandonסָ֜רוּSa.ruH5493 H4480the sinsמֵחַטֹּ֧אותme.cha.TotH2403of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֛םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379,into whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834he misledהֶחֱטִ֥יאhe.che.ti'H2398Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478; rather,they walkedהָלָ֑ךְha.LakhH1980in them; and theAsherahהָאֲשֵׁרָ֔הha.'a.she.RahH842alsoוְגַם֙ve.GamH1571remained standingעָמְדָ֖ה'a.me.DahH5975in Samariaבְּשֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃be.sho.me.RonH8111.

7For he leftהִשְׁאִ֨ירhish.'IrH7604to Jehoahazלִיהוֹאָחָ֜זli.ho.'a.ChazH3059noלֹא֩lo'H3808moreכִּ֣יkiH3588 H518of thearmyעָ֗ם'AmH5971thanכִּ֣יkiH3588 H518fiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֤יםcha.mi.ShimH2572horsemenפָּֽרָשִׁים֙pa.ra.ShimH6571,tenוַעֲשָׂ֣רָהva.'a.Sa.rahH6235chariotsרֶ֔כֶבRe.khevH7393,and tenוַעֲשֶׂ֥רֶתva.'a.Se.retH6235thousandאֲלָפִ֖ים'a.la.FimH505infantryרַגְלִ֑יrag.LiH7273,becauseכִּ֤יkiH3588the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Aramאֲרָ֔ם'a.RamH758had eliminatedאִבְּדָם֙'i.be.DamH6them andmadeוַיְשִׂמֵ֥םvay.si.MemH7760them like the dustכֶּֽעָפָ֖רke.'a.FarH6083at threshingלָדֻֽשׁ׃la.DushH1758.
