15Hilkiahחִלְקִיָּ֗הוּchil.ki.Ya.huH2518respondedוַיַּ֣עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559to Shaphanשָׁפָ֣ןsha.FanH8227the scribeH5613, “I have foundמָצָ֖אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672the Bookסֵ֧פֶרSe.ferH5612of the Lawהַתּוֹרָ֛הha.to.RahH8451in the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.”And Hilkiahחִלְקִיָּ֛הוּchil.ki.Ya.huH2518gaveוַיִּתֵּ֧ןvai.yi.TenH5414the bookהַסֵּ֖פֶרha.Se.ferH5612to Shaphanשָׁפָֽן׃sha.FanH8227.

16Then Shaphanשָׁפָ֤ןsha.FanH8227broughtוַיָּבֵ֨אvai.ya.Ve'H935the bookהַסֵּ֙פֶר֙ha.Se.ferH5612to the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428andreportedוַיָּ֨שֶׁבvai.Ya.shevH7725furtherע֧וֹדodH5750wordדָּבָ֖רda.VarH1697to the kingהַמֶּ֛לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “Everythingכֹּ֛לkolH3605that wasentrustedנִתַּ֥ן בְּיַד־ni.Tan be.yad-H5414 H3027to your servantsעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ'a.va.Dei.khaH5650,they are doingעֹשִֽׂים׃'o.SimH6213.

17They have also emptiedH5413outH5413the moneyהַכֶּ֖סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701which was foundהַנִּמְצָ֣אha.nim.Tza'H4672in the houseבְּבֵית־be.veit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and have handedH5414 H3027it overH5414to the supervisorsהַמֻּפְקָדִ֔יםha.muf.ka.DimH6485and the workmenעוֹשֵׂ֥י הַמְּלָאכָֽה׃o.Sei ha.me.la.KhahH4399 H6213.”

18Moreover, Shaphanשָׁפָ֤ןsha.FanH8227the scribeH5613informedוַיַּגֵּ֞דvai.ya.GedH5046the kingלַמֶּ֣לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Hilkiahחִלְקִיָּ֖הוּchil.ki.Ya.huH2518the priestהַכֹּהֵ֑ןha.ko.HenH3548gaveנָ֣תַןNa.tanH5414me a bookסֵ֚פֶרSe.ferH5612.”And Shaphanשָׁפָ֖ןsha.FanH8227readוַיִּקְרָא־vai.yik.ra'-H7121from it in the presenceלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440of the kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428.

19When the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428heardכִּשְׁמֹ֣עַkish.Mo.a'H8085the wordsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of the Lawהַתּוֹרָ֑הha.to.RahH8451,he toreוַיִּקְרַ֖עvai.yik.Ra'H7167his clothesבְּגָדָֽיו׃be.ga.DavH899.

22So Hilkiahחִלְקִיָּ֜הוּchil.ki.Ya.huH2518and thosewhomוַאֲשֶׁ֣רva.'a.SherH834the kingהַמֶּ֗לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428had told wentוַיֵּ֨לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980to Huldahחֻלְדָּ֨הchul.DahH2468the prophetessהַנְּבִיאָ֜הha.ne.vi.'AhH5031,the wifeאֵ֣שֶׁת׀'E.shetH802of Shallumשַׁלֻּ֣םsha.LumH7967the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121ofTokhathH8445,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Hasrahחַסְרָה֙chas.RahH2641,the keeperשׁוֹמֵ֣רsho.MerH8104of the wardrobeהַבְּגָדִ֔יםha.be.ga.DimH899(she livedיוֹשֶׁ֥בֶתyo.She.vetH3427in Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389in the Secondבַּמִּשְׁנֶ֑הba.mish.NehH4932Quarter); and they spokeוַיְדַבְּר֥וּvay.da.be.RuH1696to her regarding thisH2088.

23Then she saidוַתֹּ֣אמֶרva.To.merH559to them, “ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478saysאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559: ‘Tellאִמְר֣וּ'im.RuH559the manלָאִ֔ישׁla.'IshH376whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834sentשָׁלַ֥חsha.LachH7971you to Me,

24thisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “BeholdH2009,I am bringingמֵבִ֥יאme.Vi'H935evilH7463on thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088placeהַמָּק֥וֹםha.ma.KomH4725and on its inhabitantsיוֹשְׁבָ֑יוyo.she.VavH3427,allכָּל־kol-H3605the cursesהָאָלוֹת֙ha.'a.lOtH423writtenהַכְּתוּב֣וֹתha.ke.tu.VotH3789in the bookהַסֵּ֔פֶרha.Se.ferH5612whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834they have readקָֽרְא֔וּka.re.'UH7121in the presenceלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440of the kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063.

25Sinceתַּ֣חַת׀ אֲשֶׁ֣רTa.chat 'a.SherH8478 H834they have abandonedעֲזָב֗וּנִי'a.za.Vu.niH5800Me and have burnedH6999incenseH6999to otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsלֵֽאלֹהִ֣יםle.lo.HimH430,soלְמַ֙עַן֙le.Ma.'anH4616thatH4616they may provokeהַכְעִיסֵ֔נִיhakh.'i.Se.niH3707Me toH3707angerH3707with allבְּכֹ֖לbe.KholH3605the worksמַעֲשֵׂ֣יma.'a.SeiH4639of their handsיְדֵיהֶ֑םye.dei.HemH3027,My wrathחֲמָתִ֛יcha.ma.TiH2534will be pouredוְתִתַּ֧ךְve.ti.TakhH5413outH5413on thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088placeבַּמָּק֥וֹםba.ma.KomH4725and it will not be quenchedתִכְבֶּֽה׃tikh.BehH3518.”’

26But to the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063who sentהַשֹּׁלֵ֤חַha.sho.Le.achH7971you to inquireלִדְר֣וֹשׁlid.Ro.oshH1875of the Lordבַּֽיהוָ֔הba.Yah.wehH3068,thisH3541isH3541whatH3541you shall sayתֹאמְר֖וּto.me.RuH559to him: ‘ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559: In regard tothe wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you have heardשָׁמָֽעְתָּ׃sha.Ma.'e.taH8085,

32Furthermore, he made allכָּל־kol-H3605who wereH4672presentH4672in Jerusalemבִירוּשָׁלִַ֖םvi.ru.sha.LimH3389and Benjaminוּבִנְיָמִ֑ןu.vin.ya.MinH1144standוַיַּעֲמֵ֕דvai.ya.'a.MedH5975with him.So the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֣יyo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389actedוַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ֙vai.ya.'a.SuH6213in accordance with the covenantכִּבְרִ֥יתkiv.RitH1285of Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of their fathersאֲבוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃'a.vo.tei.HemH1.
