8The sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֨לYis.ra.'ElH3478ledH7617awayH7617captiveוַיִּשְׁבּוּ֩vai.yish.BuH7617twoמָאתַ֣יִםma.Ta.yimH3967hundredH3967thousandאֶ֗לֶף'E.lefH505oftheir relativesמֵֽאֲחֵיהֶ֜םme.'a.chei.HemH251,womenנָשִׁים֙na.ShimH802,sonsבָּנִ֣יםba.NimH1121,and daughtersוּבָנ֔וֹתu.va.NotH1323;and they alsoוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571tookבָּזְז֣וּba.ze.ZuH962a greatH7227dealH7227of spoilsשָׁלָ֥לsha.LalH7998from them, and broughtוַיָּבִ֥יאוּvai.ya.Vi.'uH935the spoilsהַשָּׁלָ֖לha.sha.LalH7998to Samariaלְשֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃ סle.sho.me.RonH8111.
9But a prophetנָבִ֥יאna.Vi'H5030of the Lordלַֽיהוָה֮la.Yah.wehH3068was thereוְ֠שָׁםVe.shomH8033,whose nameשְׁמוֹ֒she.MoH8034wasOdedעֹדֵ֣ד'o.DedH5752; andhe wentH3318outH3318to meetלִפְנֵ֤יlif.NeiH6440the armyהַצָּבָא֙ha.tza.Va'H6635which cameהַבָּ֣אha.Ba'H935to Samariaלְשֹׁמְר֔וֹןle.sho.me.RonH8111and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “Beholdהִ֠נֵּהHi.nehH2009,because the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵֽי־'e.lo.hei-H430of your fathersאֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֛ם'a.vo.tei.KhemH1,was angryבַּחֲמַ֨תba.cha.MatH2534with Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063,He has handedבְּיֶדְכֶ֑םbe.yed.KhemH5414H3027them overH5414to you, and you have killedוַתַּֽהַרְגוּ־va.ta.har.gu-H2026them in a rageבְזַ֔עַףve.Za.'afH2197whichhas evenעַ֥ד'adH5704reachedהִגִּֽיעַ׃hi.Gi.a'H5060heavenלַשָּׁמַ֖יִםla.sha.Ma.yimH8064.
10Nowוְ֠עַתָּהVe.'a.tahH6258you are proposingאֹמְרִ֔ים'o.me.RimH559tosubjugateלִכְבֹּ֛שׁlikh.BoshH3533the peopleבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Judahיְהוּדָ֤הye.hu.DahH3063and Jerusalemוִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙vi.ru.sha.LimH3389as maleלַעֲבָדִ֥יםla.'a.va.DimH5650and femaleוְלִשְׁפָח֖וֹתve.lish.fa.ChotH8198slavesH8198H5650for yourselves. Areyou not, howeverH7534guiltyעִמָּכֶ֣ם'i.ma.KhemH5973H819yourselvesH864of offensesH819against the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃'e.lo.hei.KhemH430?
11Nowוְעַתָּ֣הve.'a.TahH6258then, listenשְׁמָע֔וּנִיshe.ma.'U.niH8085to me and returnוְהָשִׁ֙יבוּ֙ve.ha.Shi.vuH7725the captivesהַשִּׁבְיָ֔הha.shiv.YahH7633whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you capturedשְׁבִיתֶ֖םshe.vi.TemH7617from your brothersמֵאֲחֵיכֶ֑םme.'a.chei.KhemH251,for the burningחֲר֥וֹןcha.RonH2740angerאַף־'af-H639of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068is againstעֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ ס'a.lei.KhemH5921you.”
