Job 9:16-35
16IfH518 I calledH7121 and He answeredH6030 me, I could not believeH539 that He was listeningH238 to my voiceH6963.17For He 1bruisesH7779 me with a tempestH8183 And multipliesH7235 my woundsH6482 withoutH2600 causeH2600.18He will 2not allowH5414 me to getH7725 my breathH7307, But saturatesH7646 me with 3bitternessH4472.19IfH518 it is a matter of powerH3581, 4beholdH2009, He is the strongH533 oneH533! And ifH518 it is a matter of justiceH4941, whoH4310 can summonH3259 5Him?206ThoughH518 I am righteousH6663, my mouthH6310 will 7condemnH7561 me; Though I am guiltlessH8535, He will declareH6140 me guiltyH6140.21I am 8guiltlessH8535; I do not takeH3045 noticeH3045 of myselfH5315; I 9despiseH3988 my lifeH2425.22It is all oneH259; thereforeH5921H3651 I sayH559, ‘He 10destroysH3615 the guiltlessH8535 and the wickedH7563.’23IfH518 the scourgeH7752 killsH4191 suddenlyH6597, He 11mocksH3932 the despairH4531 of the innocentH5355.24The earthH776 12is givenH5414 into the handH3027 of the wickedH7563; He 13coversH3680 the facesH6440 of its judgesH8199. IfH518 it is not He, thenH645 whoH4310 is it?
25“Now 14my daysH3117 are swifterH7043 thanH4480 a runnerH7323; They fleeH1272 awayH1272, 15they seeH7200 noH3808 goodH2899.26They slipH2498 by likeH5973 16reedH16 boatsH591, Like an 17eagleH5404 that swoopsH2907 on 18its preyH400.27ThoughH518 I sayH559, ‘I will forgetH7911 19my complaintH7879, I will leaveH5800 off my sad countenanceH6440 and be cheerfulH1082,’28I am 20afraidH3025 of allH3605 my painsH6094, I knowH3045 that 21You will not acquitH5352 me.29I am accounted 22wickedH7561, WhyH4100 thenH2088 should I toilH3021 in vainH1892?30IfH518 I should 23washH7364 myself with snowH7950 And cleanseH2141 24my handsH3709 with lyeH1253,31YetH227 You would plungeH2881 me into the pitH7845, And my own clothesH8008 would abhorH8581 me.32For 25He is not a manH376 as I am that 26I may answerH6030 Him, That we may goH935 to 27courtH4941 togetherH3164.33ThereH3426 is noH3808 28umpireH3198 betweenH996 us, Who may layH7896 his handH3027 upon us bothH8147.34Let Him 29removeH5493 His rodH7626 from me, And let not dreadH367 of Him terrifyH1204 me.35Then I 30would speakH1696 and not fearH3372 Him; But I am not likeH3651 that in myself.
