Elihu Sharply Reproves Job
1Then ElihuH453 continuedH6030 and saidH559,2“Do you thinkH2803 thisH2088 is according to 1justiceH4941? Do you sayH559, ‘My righteousnessH6664 is moreH4480 thanH4480 God’sH410’?3For you sayH559, ‘2WhatH4100 advantageH5532 will it be to 3You? 4WhatH4100 profitH3276 will I have, moreH4480 thanH4480 if I had sinnedH2403?’4I will answerH7725H4405 you, And your friendsH7453 with you.55LookH5027 at the heavensH8064 and seeH7200; And beholdH7789 6the cloudsH7834--they are higherH1361 thanH4480 you.6IfH518 you have sinnedH2398, 7whatH4100 do you accomplishH6466 against Him? And if your transgressionsH6588 are manyH7231, whatH4100 do you doH6213 to Him?7IfH518 you are righteousH6663, 8whatH4100 do you giveH5414 to Him, OrH176 whatH4100 does He receiveH3947 from your handH3027?8Your wickednessH7562 is for a manH376 likeH3644 yourself, And your righteousnessH6666 is for a sonH1121 of manH120.
9“BecauseH4480 of the 9multitudeH7230 of oppressionsH6217 they cryH2199 out; They cryH7768 for helpH7768 becauseH4480 of the armH2220 10of the mightyH7227.10But 11noH3808 one saysH559, ‘WhereH346 is GodH433 my MakerH6213, Who 12givesH5414 songsH2158 in the nightH3915,11Who 13teachesH502 us moreH4480 thanH4480 the beastsH929 of the earthH776 And makesH2449 us wiserH2449 thanH4480 the birdsH5775 of the heavensH8064?’12ThereH8033 14they cryH6817 out, but He does not answerH6030 BecauseH4480H6440 of the prideH1347 of evilH7451 menH7451.13SurelyH389 15GodH410 will not listenH8085 to 16an emptyH7723 cry, NorH3808 will the AlmightyH7706 regardH7789 it.14HowH637 muchH637 lessH637 whenH3588 17you sayH559 you do not beholdH7789 Him, The 18caseH1779 is beforeH6440 Him, and you must waitH2342 for Him!15And nowH6258, becauseH3588 He has not visitedH6485 in His angerH639, NorH3808 has He acknowledgedH3045 19transgressionH6588 wellH3966,16So JobH347 opensH6475 his mouthH6310 20emptilyH1892; He multipliesH3527 wordsH4405 21withoutH1097 knowledgeH1847.”
