Job Says He Has Become a Byword

1“My spiritH7307 is brokenH2254, my daysH3117 are extinguishedH2193, The 12graveH6913 is ready for me.23SurelyH518H3808 mockersH2049 are with me, And my eyeH5869 4gazesH3885 on their provocationH4784.

3“LayH7760 downH7760, nowH4994, a pledgeH6162 5for me with Yourself; WhoH4310 is there that will 6be my guarantorH8628H3027?4For You have 78keptH6845 their heartH3820 from understandingH7922, ThereforeH5921H3651 You will not exaltH7311 them.5He who 9informsH5046 against friendsH7453 for a shareH2506 of the spoil, The 10eyesH5869 of his childrenH1121 also will languishH3615.

6“But He has madeH3322 me a 11bywordH4914 of the peopleH5971, And I amH1961 12one at whom men 13spitH8611.7My eyeH5869 has also grownH3543 14dimH3543 becauseH4480 of griefH3708, And allH3605 my 15membersH3338 are as a shadowH6738.8The uprightH3477 will be appalledH8074 at thisH2088, And the 16innocentH5355 will stirH5782 up himself againstH5921 the godlessH2611.9Nevertheless 17the righteousH6662 will holdH270 to his wayH1870, And 18he who has cleanH2889 handsH3027 will growH3254 strongerH555 and stronger.10But comeH935 againH7725 allH3605 of 19you nowH4994, For I 20do not findH4672 a wiseH2450 manH2450 among you.11My 21daysH3117 are pastH5674, my plansH2154 are tornH5423 apartH5423, Even the wishesH4180 of my heartH3824.12They makeH7760 nightH3915 into dayH3117, saying, ‘The lightH216 is nearH7138,’ in the presenceH6440 of darknessH2822.13IfH518 I lookH6960 for 22SheolH7585 as my homeH1004, I 23makeH7502 my bedH3326 in the darknessH2822;14If I callH7121 to the 24pitH7845, ‘You are my fatherH1’; To the 25wormH7415, ‘my motherH517 and my sisterH269’;15WhereH346 nowH645 is 26my hopeH8615? And whoH4310 regardsH7789 my hopeH8615?1627Will it goH3381 downH3381 with me to SheolH7585? Shall we togetherH3162 28goH5183 downH5183 into the dustH6083?”
