Deuteronomy 6:10-25
10“Then it shall comeH1961 about whenH3588 the LordH3068 your GodH430 bringsH935 you into the landH776 whichH834 He sworeH7650 to your fathersH1, AbrahamH85, IsaacH3327 and JacobH3290, to giveH5414 you, 1greatH1419 and splendidH2896 citiesH5892 whichH834 you did not buildH1129, 11and housesH1004 fullH4392 of allH3605 goodH2898 thingsH2898 whichH834 you did not fillH4390, and hewnH2672 cisternsH953 whichH834 you did not digH2672, vineyardsH3754 and oliveH2132 treesH2132 whichH834 you did not plantH5193, and 2you eatH398 and are satisfiedH7646, 12then watchH8104 yourself, that 3you do not forgetH7911 the LordH3068 whoH834 broughtH3318 you from the landH776 of EgyptH4714, out of the houseH1004 of 4slaveryH5650. 135You shall 6fearH3372 only the LordH3068 your GodH430; and you shall 7worshipH5647 Him and 8swearH7650 by His nameH8034. 149You shall not followH1980H310 otherH312 godsH430, anyH312 of the godsH430 of the peoplesH5971 whoH834 surroundH5439 you, 15for the LordH3068 your GodH430 in the midstH7130 of you is a 10jealousH7067 GodH410; otherwiseH6435 the angerH639 of the LordH3068 your GodH430 will be kindledH2734 against you, and He will 11wipeH8045 you offH4480H5921 the faceH6440 of the earthH127.
16“12You shall not putH5254 the LordH3068 your GodH430 to the testH5254, 13as you testedH5254 Him at MassahH4532. 1714You should diligentlyH8104 keepH8104 the commandmentsH4687 of the LordH3068 your GodH430, and His testimoniesH5713 and His statutesH2706 whichH834 He has commandedH6680 you. 18You shall doH6213 what is rightH3477 and goodH2896 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068, that 15it may be wellH3190 with you and that you may goH935 in and possessH3423 the goodH2896 landH776 whichH834 the LordH3068 sworeH7650 to give your fathersH1, 19by drivingH1920 out allH3605 your enemiesH340 from beforeH6440 you, as the LordH3068 has spokenH1696.
20“16WhenH3588 your sonH1121 asksH7592 you in timeH4279 to comeH4279, sayingH559, ‘WhatH4100 do the testimoniesH5713 and the statutesH2706 and the judgmentsH4941 mean whichH834 the LordH3068 our GodH430 commandedH6680 you?’ 21then you shall sayH559 to your sonH1121, ‘We were slavesH5650 to PharaohH6547 in EgyptH4714, and the LordH3068 broughtH3318 us from EgyptH4714 with a mightyH2389 handH3027. 22Moreover, the LordH3068 showedH5414 greatH1419 and distressingH7451 signsH226 and wondersH4159 before our eyesH5869 against EgyptH4714, PharaohH6547 and allH3605 his householdH1004; 23He broughtH3318 us out from thereH8033 in orderH4616 to bringH935 us in, to giveH5414 us the landH776 whichH834 He had swornH7650 to our fathersH1.’ 24So the LordH3068 commandedH6680 us to observeH6213 allH3605 theseH428 statutesH2706, 17to fearH3372 the LordH3068 our GodH430 for our goodH2896 alwaysH3605H3117 and 18for our survivalH2421, as it is todayH3117. 2519It will be righteousnessH6666 for us ifH3588 we 20are carefulH8104 to observeH6213 allH3605 thisH2088 commandmentH4687 beforeH6440 the LordH3068 our GodH430, justH3512 as He commandedH6680 us.
