17Now Kingהַמֶּ֨לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֜הוּtzid.ki.Ya.huH6667sentוַיִּשְׁלַח֩vai.yish.LachH7971and tookוַיִּקָּחֵ֗הוּvai.yi.ka.Che.huH3947him out;and in his palaceבְּבֵיתוֹ֙be.vei.ToH1004the kingהַמֶּ֤לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428secretlyבַּסֵּ֔תֶרba.Se.terH5643askedוַיִּשְׁאָלֵ֨הוּvai.yish.'a.Le.huH7592him and saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Is thereהֲיֵ֥שׁha.YeshH3426awordדָּבָ֖רda.VarH1697from the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068?”And Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙yir.me.Ya.huH3414saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Thereיֵ֔שׁYeshH3426is!” Then he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “You will begivenתִּנָּתֵֽן׃ סti.na.TenH5414into the handבְּיַ֥דbe.YadH3027of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894!”
18Moreover Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֔הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֑הוּtzid.ki.Ya.huH6667, “Inwhatמֶה֩mehH4100wayhave I sinnedחָטָ֨אתִֽיcha.Ta.tiH2398against you, or against your servantsוְלַעֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ve.la.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650,or against thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088peopleוְלָעָ֣םve.la.'AmH5971,that you have putנְתַתֶּ֥םne.ta.TemH5414me in prisonבֵּ֥ית הַכֶּֽלֶא׃beit ha.Ke.le'H1004H3608?

20But nowוְעַתָּ֕הve.'a.TahH6258,pleaseנָ֖אna'H4994listenשְֽׁמַֽע־she.ma'-H8085,O my lordאֲדֹנִ֣י'a.do.NiH113the kingהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428;pleaseנָ֤אna'H4994let mypetitionתְחִנָּתִי֙te.chi.na.TiH8467comeתִּפָּל־ti.pol-H5307beforeלְפָנֶ֔יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440you and do not make me returnתְּשִׁבֵ֗נִיte.shi.Ve.niH7725to the houseבֵּ֚יתbeitH1004of Jonathanיְהוֹנָתָ֣ןye.ho.na.TanH3083the scribeH5613,that I may not dieאָמ֖וּת'a.MutH4191thereשָֽׁם׃ShamH8033.”
