14But Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֜הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “A lieשֶׁ֗קֶרShe.kerH8267! I am notgoingH5307overH5307to the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםha.kas.DimH3778”;yet he would not listenשָׁמַ֖עsha.Ma'H8085to him. So Irijahיִרְאִיָּיה֙yir.'i.YaihH3376arrestedוַיִּתְפֹּ֤שׂvai.yit.PosH8610Jeremiahבְּיִרְמְיָ֔הוּbe.yir.me.Ya.huH3414and broughtוַיְבִאֵ֖הוּvay.vi.'E.huH935him to the officialsהַשָּׂרִֽים׃ha.sa.RimH8269.

15Then the officialsהַשָּׂרִ֛יםha.sa.RimH8269wereangryוַיִּקְצְפ֧וּvai.yik.tze.FuH7107at Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414and beatוְהִכּ֣וּve.hi.KuH5221him, and theyputוְנָתְנ֨וּve.na.te.NuH5414him in jailבֵּ֣ית הָאֵס֗וּרbeit ha.'e.SurH1004 H612in the houseבֵּ֚יתbeitH1004of Jonathanיְהוֹנָתָ֣ןye.ho.na.TanH3083the scribeH5613,which they had madeעָשׂ֖וּ'a.SuH6213into the prisonלְבֵ֥ית הַכֶּֽלֶא׃le.Veit ha.Ke.le'H1004 H3608.
