15And the evilπονηρὸνponēronG4190spiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151answeredἀποκριθὲνapokrithenG611and saidG3004to them, “I recognizeγινώσκωginōskōG1097JesusἸησοῦνIēsounG2424,and I knowG1987aboutG1987PaulΠαῦλονPaulonG3972,but whoτίνεςtinesG5101are you?”

16And the manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444,in whomᾧhōG3739was the evilπονηρόν,ponēronG4190spiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151,leapedἐφαλόμενοςephalomenosG2177on them and subduedκατακυριεύσαςkatakurieusasG2634allἀμφοτέρωνamphoterōnG297of them and overpoweredἴσχυσενischusenG2480them, soὥστεhōsteG5620that they fledἐκφυγεῖνekphugeinG1628out of that houseοἴκουoikouG3624nakedγυμνοὺςgumnousG1131and woundedτετραυματισμένουςtetraumatismenousG5135.

18ManyπολλοίpolloiG4183alsoτεteG5037of thoseG3588who had believedπεπιστευκότωνpepisteukotōnG4100kept comingἤρχοντοērchontoG2064,confessingἐξομολογούμενοιexomologoumenoiG1843and disclosingἀναγγέλλοντεςanangellontesG312their practicesπράξειςpraxeisG4234.

19And manyἱκανοὶhikanoiG2425of thoseG3588who practicedπραξάντωνpraxantōnG4238magicπερίεργαperiergaG4021broughtG4851their booksβίβλουςbiblousG976togetherG4851and beganburningκατέκαιονkatekaionG2618them in the sightἐνώπιονenōpionG1799of everyoneπάντων·pantōnG3956;and they countedσυνεψήφισανsunepsēphisanG4860up the priceτιμὰςtimasG5092of them and foundεὗρονheuronG2147itfiftyπέντε.penteG3461 G4002thousandG3461piecesG694of silverG694.

20SoοὕτωςhoutōsG3779the wordλόγοςlogosG3056of the LordκυρίουkuriouG2962was growingηὔξανενēuxanenG837mightilyκράτοςkratosG2904and prevailingἴσχυεν.¶ischuenG2480.
