Nehemiah 9:24-28

24And the children wentH935 in and possessedH3423 the landH776; and thou subduedst before them the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776, the CanaanitesH3669, and gavest them into their handsH3027, both their kingsH4428 and the peoplesH5971 of the landH776, that they might do with them as they would.

25And they tookH3920 strong citiesH5892, and a fatH8080 landH127, and possessedH3423 housesH1004 fullH4392 of all goodH2898 things, wells digged, vineyardsH3754 and olive-gardens, and fruit treesH6086 in abundanceH7230. And they did eatH398 and were filled, and became fatH8080, and delighted themselves in thy greatH1419 goodnessH2898.

26But they were disobedientH4784, and rebelledH4784 against thee, and castH7993 thy lawH8451 behind their backsH1458, and slewH2026 thy prophetsH5030 who testifiedH5749 against them to turnH7725 them to thee, and they wrought greatH1419 provocations.

27And thou gavest them into the handH3027 of their oppressors, and they oppressed them; and in the timeH6256 of their distressH6869, when they criedH6817 unto thee, thou heardest them from the heavensH8064, and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who savedH3467 them out of the handH3027 of their oppressors.

28But when they had restH5117, they did evilH7451 again before thee; and thou didst leaveH5800 them in the handH3027 of their enemiesH341, and they had dominion over them; and again they criedH2199 unto thee, and thou heardest [them] from the heavensH8064, and manyH7227 timesH6256 didst thou deliverH5337 them, according to thy mercies.
