Nehemiah 6:3-9

And I sentH7971 messengersH4397 to them, sayingH559, I am doing a greatH1419 workH4399, and I cannot comeH3381 down. WhyH4100 should the workH4399 cease, whilst I leave it and comeH3381 down to you?

And they sentH7971 to me fourH702 timesH6471 after this sort; and I answered them in the same mannerH1697.

Then sentH7971 SanballatH5571 his servantH5288 to me in this mannerH1697 the fifthH2549 timeH6471, with an openH6605 letterH107 in his handH3027,

in which was writtenH3789: It is reported among the nationsH1471, and Gashmu saysH559 [it, that] thou and the JewsH3064 think to rebelH4775, for which cause thou buildest the wallH2346, and according to these wordsH1697 thou wilt become their kingH4428.

And thou hast alsoH1571 appointedH5975 prophetsH5030 to proclaimH7121 concerning thee at JerusalemH3389 sayingH559, There is a kingH4428 in JudahH3063! And nowH6258 it will be reported to the kingH4428 according to these wordsH1697. Come nowH6258 thereforeH6258, and let us take counselH3289 togetherH3162.

And I sentH7971 to him, sayingH559, There are no such thingsH1697 done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heartH3820.

For they all would have madeH6213 us afraidH3372, sayingH559, Their handsH3027 shall be slackened from the workH4399, that it be not carried out. — NowH6258 thereforeH6258 strengthenH2388 my handsH3027!
