Lamentations 1:1-4
HowH349 doth the cityH5892 sitH3427 solitary [that] wasH1961 full of peopleH5971! She that wasH1961 greatH7227 among the nationsH1471 isH1961 becomeH1961 as a widowH490; the princess among the provincesH4082 isH1961 becomeH1961 tributary!
She weepeth sore in the nightH3915, and her tearsH1832 are on her cheeksH3895; among all her loversH157 she hath no comforterH5162; all her friendsH7453 have dealtH898 treacherouslyH898 with her, they are becomeH1961 her enemiesH341.
JudahH3063 is goneH1540 into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitudeH5656; she dwelleth among the nationsH1471, she findeth no restH4494: all her pursuersH7291 have overtakenH5381 her within the straits.
The waysH1870 of ZionH6726 do mournH57, because none comeH935 to the solemn assembly: all her gatesH8179 are desolateH8074; her priestsH3548 sigh, her virginsH1330 are in griefH3013; and as for her, she is in bitternessH4751.
