Darby Bible
Amos 8:4-10
4HearH8085 this, ye that pant after the needyH34, even to cause to fail the poor of the landH776,
5sayingH559, WhenH4970 will the newH2320 moonH2320 be gone, that we may sellH7666 corn? and the sabbathH7676, that we may set forth wheat? making the ephahH374 smallH6994 and the shekelH8255 greatH1431, and falsifying the balances for deceitH4820:
6that we may buyH7069 the poor for silverH3701, and the needyH34 for a pair of shoes; and that we may sellH7666 the refuse of the wheat.
7Jehovah hath swornH7650 by the glory of JacobH3290, Certainly I will never forgetH7911 any of their worksH4639.
8Shall not the landH776 trembleH7264 for this, and every one mournH56 that dwelleth therein? And it shall wholly rise up like the Nile; and it shall surge and sink down, as the riverH2975 of EgyptH4714.
9And it shall comeH935 to pass in that dayH3117, saith the LordH136 Jehovah, that I will cause the sunH8121 to goH935 down at noonH6672, and I will darken the landH776 in the clear dayH3117.
10And I will turn your feastsH2282 into mourningH60, and all your songsH7892 into lamentationH7015; and I will bringH5927 up sackclothH8242 upon all loinsH4975, and baldnessH7144 upon every headH7218; and I will makeH7760 it as the mourningH60 for an onlyH3173 [sonH3173], and the endH319 thereof as a bitterH4751 dayH3117.
