2Yetה֤וּאhu'H1931He tooוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571iswiseחָכָם֙cha.KhamH2450and bringsוַיָּ֣בֵאvai.Ya.ve'H935disasterרָ֔עRa'H7451וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853;He does notלֹ֣אlo'H3808call backהֵסִ֑ירhe.SirH5493His wordsדְּבָרָ֖יוde.va.RavH1697.He will rise upוְקָם֙ve.KamH6965againstעַל־'al-H5921the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the wickedמְרֵעִ֔יםme.re.'ImH7489and againstוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921the alliesעֶזְרַ֖ת'ez.RatH5833of evildoersפֹּ֥עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃Po.'a.lei 'A.venH6466H205.
3But the Egyptiansוּמִצְרַ֤יִםu.mitz.Ra.yimH4714are menאָדָם֙'a.DamH120,notוְֽלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808Godאֵ֔ל'ElH410;their horsesוְסוּסֵיהֶ֥םve.su.sei.HemH5483are fleshבָּשָׂ֖רba.SarH1320,notוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808spiritר֑וּחַRu.achH7307.When the LORDוַֽיהוָ֞הva.Yah.wehH3068stretches outיַטֶּ֣הya.TehH5186His handיָד֗וֹya.DoH3027,the helperעוֹזֵר֙o.ZerH5826will stumbleוְכָשַׁ֤לve.kha.ShalH3782,and the one he helpsעָזֻ֔ר'a.ZurH5826will fallוְנָפַ֣לve.na.FalH5307;bothכֻּלָּ֥םku.LamH3605will perishיִכְלָיֽוּן׃ סyikh.la.YunH3615togetherוְיַחְדָּ֖וve.yach.DavH3162.
4Forכִּ֣יkiH3588this is whatכֹ֣הkhohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֣ה׀Yah.wehH3068has saidאָֽמַר־'a.mar-H559to meאֵלַ֡י'e.LaiH413: “Likeכַּאֲשֶׁ֣רka.'a.SherH834a lionהָאַרְיֵ֨הha.'ar.YehH738roaringיֶהְגֶּה֩yeh.GehH1897or a young lionוְהַכְּפִ֜ירve.ha.ke.FirH3715overעַל־'al-H5921its preyטַרְפּ֗וֹtar.PoH2964—and thoughאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834a bandמְלֹ֣אme.Lo'H4393of shepherdsרֹעִ֔יםro.'ImH7462is called outיִקָּרֵ֤אyi.ka.Re'H7121against itעָלָיו֙'a.LavH5921,it is notלֹ֣אlo'H3808terrifiedיֵחָ֔תye.ChatH2865by their shoutingמִקּוֹלָם֙mi.ko.LamH6963or subduedיַֽעֲנֶ֑הya.'a.NehH6031by their clamorוּמֵֽהֲמוֹנָ֖ם לֹ֣אu.me.ha.mo.Nam lo'H1995H3808—soכֵּ֗ןKenH3651the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635will come downיֵרֵד֙ye.RedH3381to do battleלִצְבֹּ֥אlitz.Bo'H6633onעַל־'al-H5921Mountהַר־har-H2022Zionצִיּ֖וֹןtzi.YonH6726andוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921its heightsגִּבְעָתָֽהּ׃giv.'a.TahH1389.
5Like birdsכְּצִפֳּרִ֣יםke.tzi.po.RimH6833hovering overheadעָפ֔וֹתa.FotH5774,soכֵּ֗ןKenH3651the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָא֖וֹת עַל־tze.va.'ot 'al-H6635H5921will protectיָגֵ֛ןya.GenH1598Jerusalemיְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389.He will shield itגָּנ֥וֹןga.NonH1598and deliver itוְהִצִּ֖ילve.hi.TzilH5337;He will pass over itפָּסֹ֥חַpa.So.achH6452and preserve itוְהִמְלִֽיט׃ve.him.LitH4422.”
