Judges 7:2-7
2And Jehovah saidH559 unto GideonH1439, The peopleH5971 that are with thee are too manyH7227 for me to giveH5414 the Midianites into their handH3027, lestH6435 IsraelH3478 vaunt themselves against me, sayingH559, Mine own handH3027 hath savedH3467 me. 3NowH6258 thereforeH6258 proclaimH7121 in the earsH241 of the peopleH5971, sayingH559, Whosoever is fearful and trembling, let him returnH7725 and depart from mount GileadH1568. And there returnedH7725 of the peopleH5971 twentyH6242 and twoH8147 thousandH505; and there remainedH7604 tenH6235 thousandH505.
4And Jehovah saidH559 unto GideonH1439, The peopleH5971 are yetH5750 tooH7227 manyH7227; bringH3381 them downH3381 unto the waterH4325, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall beH1961, that of whom I sayH559 unto thee, This shall goH3381 with thee, the same shall goH3381 with thee; and of whomsoever I sayH559 unto thee, This shall not goH3381 with thee, the same shall not goH3381. 5So he broughtH3381 down the peopleH5971 unto the waterH4325: and Jehovah saidH559 unto GideonH1439, Every one that lappeth of the waterH4325 with his tongueH3956, as a dogH3611 lappeth, him shalt thou setH3322 by himself; likewise every one that boweth downH3381 upon his knees to drinkH8354. 6And the numberH4557 of them that lapped, putting their handH3027 to their mouthH6310, wasH1961 threeH7969 hundredH3967 menH376: but all the restH3499 of the peopleH5971 bowedH3766 downH3766 upon their knees to drinkH8354 waterH4325. 7And Jehovah saidH559 unto GideonH1439, By the threeH7969 hundredH3967 menH376 that lapped will I saveH3467 you, and deliverH3467 the Midianites into thy handH3027; and let all the peopleH5971 go every manH376 unto his placeH4725.
