2And theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֤אvai.ye.Ra'H7200unto him, andsaidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Goתֵּרֵ֣דte.RedH3381notאַל־'al-H408downH3381intoH413Egyptמִצְרָ֑יְמָהmitz.Ra.ye.mahH4714;dwellשְׁכֹ֣ןshe.KhonH7931in thelandבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834I shalltellאֹמַ֥ר'o.MarH559thee of:

5becauseאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834thatAbrahamאַבְרָהָ֖ם'av.ra.HamH85obeyedשָׁמַ֥עsha.Ma'H8085myvoiceבְּקֹלִ֑יbe.ko.LiH6963, andkeptוַיִּשְׁמֹר֙vai.yish.MorH8104mychargeמִשְׁמַרְתִּ֔יmish.mar.TiH4931, mycommandmentsמִצְוֹתַ֖יmitz.vo.TaiH4687, mystatutesחֻקּוֹתַ֥יchu.ko.TaiH2708, and mylawsוְתוֹרֹתָֽי׃ve.to.ro.TaiH8451.

6AndIsaacיִצְחָ֖קyitz.ChakH3327dweltוַיֵּ֥שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427inGerarבִּגְרָֽר׃big.RarH1642:

7and themenH376of theplaceהַמָּקוֹם֙ha.ma.kOmH4725askedוַֽיִּשְׁאֲל֞וּvai.yish.'a.LuH7592him of hiswifeלְאִשְׁתּ֔וֹle.'ish.ToH802; and hesaidH559,Sheהִ֑ואhi'H1931is mysisterאֲחֹ֣תִי'a.Cho.tiH269: for hefearedיָרֵא֙ya.Re'H3372tosayH559, Mywifeאִשְׁתִּ֔י'ish.TiH802;lestפֶּן־pen-H6435,saidH559he, themenH376of theplaceהַמָּקוֹם֙ha.ma.kOmH4725shouldkillיַֽהַרְגֻ֜נִיya.har.Gu.niH2026meH5921forRebekahרִבְקָ֔הriv.KahH7259:becauseH3588sheהִֽיא׃Hi'H1931was fair to lookuponH5921.

8And itcameH1961topassH1961, when he had been there alongהַיָּמִ֔יםhai.ya.MimH3117time, thatAbimelechאֲבִימֶ֙לֶךְ֙'a.vi.Me.lekhH40kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of thePhilistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430lookedH7200outוַיַּשְׁקֵ֗ףvai.yash.KefH8259at awindowהַֽחַלּ֑וֹןha.cha.LonH2474, andsawH7200, and,beholdוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009,Isaacיִצְחָק֙yitz.ChakH3327was sporting withRebekahרִבְקָ֥הriv.KahH7259hiswifeאִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃'ish.ToH802.

9AndAbimelechאֲבִימֶ֜לֶךְ'a.vi.Me.lekhH40calledוַיִּקְרָ֨אvai.yik.Ra'H7121Isaacלְיִצְחָ֗קle.yitz.ChakH3327, andsaidH559,Beholdהִנֵּ֤הhi.NehH2009, of a suretysheהִ֔ואhi'H1931is thywifeאִשְׁתְּךָ֙'ish.te.KhaH802: andhowוְאֵ֥יךְve.'EikhH349saidst thou,Sheהִ֑ואhi'H1931is mysisterאֲחֹ֣תִי'a.Cho.tiH269? AndIsaacיִצְחָ֔קyitz.ChakH3327saidH559unto him,Becauseכִּ֣יkiH3588IsaidH559,Lestפֶּן־pen-H6435Idieאָמ֖וּת'a.MutH4191forherאֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413.

10AndAbimelechאֲבִימֶ֔לֶךְ'a.vi.Me.lekhH40saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Whatמַה־mah-H4100is this thou hastdoneעָשִׂ֣יתָ'a.Si.taH6213untousH5921? one of thepeopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971might lightly havelainשָׁכַ֞בsha.KhavH7901with thywifeאִשְׁתֶּ֔ךָ'ish.Te.khaH802, and thou shouldest havebroughtוְהֵבֵאתָ֥ve.he.ve.TaH935guiltinessuponH5921usH5921.

11AndAbimelechאֲבִימֶ֔לֶךְ'a.vi.Me.lekhH40chargedוַיְצַ֣וvay.TzavH6680allכָּל־kol-H3605thepeopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, He that toucheth thismanבָּאִ֥ישׁba.'IshH376or hiswifeוּבְאִשְׁתּ֖וֹu.ve.'ish.ToH802shallsurelyH4191beputH4191todeathH4191.

12AndIsaacיִצְחָק֙yitz.ChakH3327sowedוַיִּזְרַ֤עvai.yiz.Ra'H2232in thatlandבָּאָ֣רֶץba.'A.retzH776, andfoundוַיִּמְצָ֛אvai.yim.Tza'H4672in thesameH1931yearבַּשָּׁנָ֥הba.sha.NahH8141an hundredfold: and theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068blessedוַֽיְבָרֲכֵ֖הוּvay.va.ra.Khe.huH1288him.

13And themanהָאִ֑ישׁha.'IshH376waxedgreatוַיִּגְדַּ֖לvai.yig.DalH1431, andgrewH1431moreH3966andmoreH3966untilעַ֥ד'adH5704hebecameH1431veryH3966greatגָדַ֖לga.DalH1431:

14and he hadpossessionsמִקְנֵה־mik.neh-H4735offlocksצֹאן֙tzoNH6629, andpossessionsוּמִקְנֵ֣הu.mik.NehH4735ofherdsבָקָ֔רva.KarH1241, and agreatרַבָּ֑הra.BahH7227householdוַעֲבֻדָּ֖הva.'a.vu.DahH5657: and thePhilistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃pe.lish.TimH6430enviedוַיְקַנְא֥וּvay.kan.'UH7065him.

15NowH3117allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605thewellsהַבְּאֵרֹ֗תha.be.'e.RotH875whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834hisfather’sאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1servantsעַבְדֵ֣י'av.DeiH5650had digged in thedaysבִּימֵ֖יbi.MeiH3117ofAbrahamאַבְרָהָ֣ם'av.ra.HamH85hisfatherאָבִ֑יו'a.VivH1, thePhilistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430hadstoppedסִתְּמ֣וּםsi.te.MumH5640them, andfilledוַיְמַלְא֖וּםvay.mal.'UmH4390them withearthעָפָֽר׃'a.FarH6083.

16AndAbimelechאֲבִימֶ֖לֶךְ'a.vi.Me.lekhH40saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559untoIsaacיִצְחָ֑קyitz.ChakH3327, Go fromusאֶל־'el-H413; for thou artmuchמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966mightierthanמִמֶּ֖נּוּmi.Me.nuH4480weכִּֽי־ki-H3588.

17AndIsaacיִצְחָ֑קyitz.ChakH3327departed thence, andencampedוַיִּ֥חַןvai.Yi.chanH2583in thevalleyבְּנַֽחַל־be.na.chal-H5158ofGerarגְּרָ֖רge.RarH1642, anddweltוַיֵּ֥שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427there.

18AndIsaacיִצְחָ֜קyitz.ChakH3327diggedagainוַיָּ֨שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725thewellsבְּאֵרֹ֣תbe.'e.RotH875ofwaterהַמַּ֗יִםha.Ma.yimH4325,whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834they had digged in thedaysבִּימֵי֙bi.MeiH3117ofAbrahamאַבְרָהָ֣ם'av.ra.HamH85hisfatherאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1; for thePhilistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430hadstoppedוַיְסַתְּמ֣וּםvay.sa.te.MumH5640themafterH310thedeathמ֣וֹתMotH4194ofAbrahamאַבְרָהָ֑ם'av.ra.HamH85: and hecalledוַיִּקְרָ֤אvai.yik.Ra'H7121theirnamesשֵׁמ֔וֹתshe.MotH8034afterH310thenamesכַּשֵּׁמֹ֕תka.she.MotH8034bywhichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834hisfatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1hadcalledקָרָ֥אka.Ra'H7121them.

19AndIsaac’sיִצְחָ֖קyitz.ChakH3327servantsעַבְדֵֽי־'av.dei-H5650digged in thevalleyבַּנָּ֑חַלba.Na.chalH5158, andfoundוַיִּ֨מְצְאוּ־vai.Yim.tze.'u-H4672there awellבְּאֵ֖רbe.'ErH875of springingwaterמַ֥יִםMa.yimH4325.

20And the herdmen ofGerarגְרָ֗רge.RarH1642strove withIsaac’sיִצְחָ֛קyitz.ChakH3327herdmen,sayingלֵאמֹ֖רle.MorH559, Thewaterהַמָּ֑יִםha.Ma.yimH4325is ours: and hecalledוַיִּקְרָ֤אvai.yik.Ra'H7121thenameשֵֽׁם־shem-H8034of thewellהַבְּאֵר֙ha.be.'ErH875Esekעֵ֔שֶׂק'E.sekH6230;becauseכִּ֥יkiH3588theycontendedוַיָּרִ֜יבוּvai.ya.Ri.vuH7378with him.

21And they diggedanotherאַחֶ֔רֶת'a.Che.retH312wellבְּאֵ֣רbe.'ErH875, and they strove for that also: and hecalledוַיִּקְרָ֥אvai.yik.Ra'H7121thenameשְׁמָ֖הּshe.MahH8034of itSitnahשִׂטְנָֽה׃sit.NahH7856.
