30Therefore shall her young menבַחוּרֶ֖יהָva.chu.Rei.haH970fallיִפְּל֥וּyi.pe.LuH5307in the streetsבִּרְחֹבֹתֶ֑יהָbir.cho.Tei.haH7339,and all her menאַנְשֵׁ֨י'an.SheiH582of warמִלְחַמְתָּ֥הּmil.cham.TahH4421shall be cut offיִדַּ֛מּוּyi.Da.muH1826in that dayבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002Yhwhיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

31Behold, I am against thee, O thoumost proudזָד֔וֹןza.DonH2087,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֖הYah.wehH3069of Armiesצְבָא֑וֹתtze.va.'otH6635:for thy dayיוֹמְךָ֖yom.KhaH3117is comeבָּ֥אba'H935,the timeעֵ֥ת'etH6256thatI will visitפְּקַדְתִּֽיךָ׃pe.kad.Ti.chaH6485thee.

32And the most proudזָדוֹן֙za.dOnH2087shall stumbleוְכָשַׁ֤לve.kha.ShalH3782and fallוְנָפַ֔לve.na.FalH5307,and none shall raise him upמֵקִ֑יםme.KimH6965:and I will kindleוְהִצַּ֤תִּיve.hi.Tza.tiH3341a fireאֵשׁ֙'eshH784in his citiesבְּעָרָ֔יוbe.'a.RavH5892,and it shall devourוְאָכְלָ֖הve.'a.khe.LahH398all round aboutסְבִיבֹתָֽיו׃ סse.vi.vo.TavH5439him.

33Thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of Armiesצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635;The childrenבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֥לYis.ra.'ElH3478and the childrenוּבְנֵי־u.ve.nei-H1121of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063wereoppressedעֲשׁוּקִ֛ים'a.shu.KimH6231togetherיַחְדָּ֑וyach.DavH3162:and all that took them captivesשֹֽׁבֵיהֶם֙shoei.HemH7617held them fastהֶחֱזִ֣יקוּhe.che.Zi.kuH2388;they refusedמֵאֲנ֖וּme.'a.NuH3985to let them goשַׁלְּחָֽם׃sha.le.ChamH7971.

35A swordחֶ֥רֶבChe.revH2719isupon the Chaldeansכַּשְׂדִּ֖יםkas.DimH3778,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002Yhwhיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and upon the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֣יyo.she.VeiH3427of Babylonבָבֶ֔לva.VelH894,and upon her princesשָׂרֶ֖יהָsa.Rei.haH8269,and upon her wiseחֲכָמֶֽיהָ׃cha.kha.Mei.haH2450men.

36A swordחֶ֥רֶבChe.revH2719isupon the liarsהַבַּדִּ֖יםha.ba.DimH907;and they shall doteוְנֹאָ֑לוּve.no.'A.luH2973:a swordחֶ֥רֶבChe.revH2719isupon her mighty menגִּבּוֹרֶ֖יהָgi.bo.Rei.haH1368;and they shall be dismayedוָחָֽתּוּ׃va.Cha.tuH2865.

37A swordחֶ֜רֶבChe.revH2719isupon their horsesסוּסָ֣יוsu.SavH5483,and upon their chariotsרִכְבּ֗וֹrikh.BoH7393,and upon all the mingled peopleH6153that arein the midstבְּתוֹכָ֖הּbe.to.KhahH8432of her; and they shall become as womenלְנָשִׁ֑יםle.na.ShimH802:a swordחֶ֥רֶבChe.revH2719isupon her treasuresאוֹצְרֹתֶ֖יהָ'otz.ro.Tei.haH214;and they shall be robbedוּבֻזָּֽזוּ׃u.vu.Za.zuH962.

38A droughtחֹ֥רֶבCho.revH2721isupon her watersמֵימֶ֖יהָmei.Mei.haH4325;and they shall be dried upוְיָבֵ֑שׁוּve.ya.Ve.shuH3001: for it isthe landאֶ֤רֶץ'E.retzH776of graven imagesפְּסִלִים֙pe.si.LimH6456,and they are madיִתְהֹלָֽלוּ׃yit.ho.La.luH1984upon theiridolsוּבָאֵימִ֖יםu.va.'ei.MimH367.

39Therefore the wild beasts of the desertצִיִּים֙tzi.YimH6728with the wild beasts of the islandsאִיִּ֔ים'i.YimH338shall dwellיֵשְׁב֤וּye.she.VuH3427there,and the owlsבְּנ֣וֹת יַֽעֲנָ֑הbe.Not ya.'a.NahH3284 H1323shall dwellוְיָ֥שְׁבוּve.Ya.she.vuH3427therein: and it shall be no more inhabitedתֵשֵׁ֥בte.ShevH3427for everלָנֶ֔צַחla.Ne.tzachH5331;neither shall it be dweltתִשְׁכּ֖וֹןtish.KonH7931in from generationדּ֥וֹרDorH1755to generationוָדֽוֹר׃va.DorH1755.
