2Goהָלוֹךְ֮ha.loKhH1980unto the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Rechabitesהָרֵכָבִים֒ha.re.kha.VimH7397,and speakוְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ve.di.bar.TaH1696unto them, and bringוַהֲבִֽאוֹתָם֙va.ha.vi.'o.TamH935them into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,into oneאַחַ֖ת'a.ChatH259of the chambersהַלְּשָׁכ֑וֹתha.le.sha.KhotH3957,and give them wineיָֽיִן׃Ya.yinH3196to drinkוְהִשְׁקִיתָ֥ve.hish.ki.TaH8248.

3Then I tookוָאֶקַּ֞חva.'e.KachH3947Jaazaniahיַאֲזַנְיָ֤הya.'a.zan.YahH2970the sonבֶֽן־ven-H1121of Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙yir.me.Ya.huH3414,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Habaziniahחֲבַצִּנְיָ֔הcha.va.tzin.YahH2262,and his brethrenאֶחָ֖יו'e.ChavH251,and all his sonsבָּנָ֑יוba.NavH1121,and the whole houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Rechabitesהָרֵכָבִֽים׃ha.re.kha.VimH7397;

4And I broughtוָאָבִ֤אva.'a.Vi'H935them into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,into the chamberלִשְׁכַּ֗תlish.KatH3957of the sonsבְּנֵ֛יbe.NeiH1121of Hananחָנָ֥ןcha.NanH2605,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Igdaliahיִגְדַּלְיָ֖הוּyig.dal.Ya.huH3012,a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430, which wasbyאֵ֙צֶל֙'e.tzelH681the chamberלִשְׁכַּ֣תlish.KatH3957of the princesהַשָּׂרִ֔יםha.sa.RimH8269, which wasaboveמִמַּ֗עַלmi.Ma.'alH4605the chamberלְלִשְׁכַּ֛תle.lish.KatH3957of Maaseiahמַעֲשֵׂיָ֥הוּma.'a.se.Ya.huH4641the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Shallumשַׁלֻּ֖םsha.LumH7967,the keeperשֹׁמֵ֥רsho.MerH8104of the doorהַסַּֽף׃ha.SafH5592:

5And I setוָאֶתֵּ֞ןva.'e.TenH5414beforeלִפְנֵ֣י׀lif.NeiH6440the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of the houseבֵית־veit-H1004of the Rechabitesהָרֵכָבִ֗יםha.re.kha.VimH7397potsגְּבִעִ֛יםge.vi.'ImH1375fullמְלֵאִ֥יםme.le.'ImH4392of wineיַ֖יִןYa.yinH3196,and cupsוְכֹס֑וֹתve.kho.SotH3563,and I saidוָאֹמַ֥רva.'o.MarH559unto them, Drinkשְׁתוּ־she.tu-H8354ye wineיָֽיִן׃Ya.yinH3196.

6But they saidוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559,We will drinkנִשְׁתֶּה־nish.teh-H8354no wineיָּ֑יִןYa.yinH3196:for Jonadabיוֹנָדָ֨בyo.na.DavH3122the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵכָ֜בre.KhavH7394our fatherאָבִ֗ינוּ'a.Vi.nuH1commandedצִוָּ֤הtzi.VahH6680us, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Ye shall drinkתִשְׁתּוּ־tish.tu-H8354no wineיַ֛יִןYa.yinH3196, neither ye,nor your sonsוּבְנֵיכֶ֖םu.ve.nei.KhemH1121forעַד־'ad-H5704everעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769:

7Neither shall ye buildתִבְנ֗וּtiv.NuH1129houseוּבַ֣יִתu.Va.yitH1004,nor sowתִזְרָ֙עוּ֙tiz.Ra.'uH2232seedוְזֶ֤רַעve.Ze.ra'H2233,nor plantתִטָּ֔עוּti.Ta.'uH5193vineyardוְכֶ֣רֶםve.Khe.remH3754, nor have any:but all your daysיְמֵיכֶ֔םye.mei.KhemH3117ye shall dwellתֵּֽשְׁבוּ֙te.she.VuH3427in tentsבָּאֳהָלִ֤יםbo.'o.ha.LimH168;that ye may liveתִּֽחְי֜וּtich.YuH2421manyרַבִּים֙ra.BimH7227daysיָמִ֤יםya.MimH3117inפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440the landהָאֲדָמָ֔הha.'a.da.MahH127where ye bestrangersגָּרִ֥יםga.RimH1481.

8Thus have we obeyedוַנִּשְׁמַ֗עva.nish.Ma'H8085the voiceבְּק֨וֹלbe.KolH6963of Jonadabיְהוֹנָדָ֤בye.ho.na.DavH3082the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵכָב֙re.KhavH7394our fatherאָבִ֔ינוּ'a.Vi.nuH1in all that he hath chargedצִוָּ֑נוּtzi.Va.nuH6680us, to drinkשְׁתֽוֹת־she.tot-H8354no wineיַ֙יִן֙ya.yinH3196all our daysיָמֵ֔ינוּya.Mei.nuH3117,we, our wivesנָשֵׁ֔ינוּna.Shei.nuH802,our sonsבָּנֵ֖ינוּba.Nei.nuH1121,nor our daughtersוּבְנֹתֵֽינוּ׃u.ve.no.Tei.nuH1323;

9Nor to buildבְּנ֥וֹתbe.NotH1129housesבָּתִּ֖יםba.TimH1004for us to dwell inלְשִׁבְתֵּ֑נוּle.shiv.Te.nuH3427:neither have we vineyardוְכֶ֧רֶםve.Khe.remH3754,nor fieldוְשָׂדֶ֛הve.sa.DehH7704,nor seedוָזֶ֖רַעva.Ze.ra'H2233:

10But we have dwelt inוַנֵּ֖שֶׁבva.Ne.shevH3427tentsבָּֽאֳהָלִ֑יםbo.'o.ha.LimH168,and have obeyedוַנִּשְׁמַ֣עva.nish.Ma'H8085,and doneוַנַּ֔עַשׂva.Na.'asH6213according to all that Jonadabיוֹנָדָ֥בyo.na.DavH3122our fatherאָבִֽינוּ׃'a.Vi.nuH1commandedצִוָּ֖נוּtzi.Va.nuH6680us.

11But it came to pass, when Nebuchadnezzarנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥רne.vu.khad.re.TzarH5019kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶל֮ba.VelH894came upבַּעֲל֨וֹתba.'a.LotH5927into the landהָאָרֶץ֒ha.'a.RetzH776,that we saidוַנֹּ֗אמֶרva.No.merH559,Comeבֹּ֚אוּBo.'uH935,and let us goוְנָב֣וֹאve.na.Vo'H935to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389for fearמִפְּנֵי֙mi.pe.NeiH6440of the armyחֵ֣ילcheilH2428of the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםha.kas.DimH3778,and for fearוּמִפְּנֵ֖יu.mi.pe.NeiH6440of the armyחֵ֣ילcheilH2428of the Syriansאֲרָ֑ם'a.RamH758:so we dwellוַנֵּ֖שֶׁבva.Ne.shevH3427at Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ פbi.ru.sha.LimH3389.

12Then came the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068unto Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֖הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

14The wordsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of Jonadabיְהוֹנָדָ֣בye.ho.na.DavH3082the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵ֠כָבre.khoH7394,that he commandedצִוָּ֨הtzi.VahH6680his sonsבָּנָ֜יוba.NavH1121not to drinkשְׁתֽוֹת־she.tot-H8354wineיַ֗יִןYa.yinH3196,are performedהוּקַ֡םhu.KamH6965;for unto this dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117they drinkשָׁתוּ֙sha.TuH8354none, but obeyשָֽׁמְע֔וּsha.me.'UH8085their father’sאֲבִיהֶ֑ם'a.vi.HemH1commandmentמִצְוַ֣תmitz.VatH4687:notwithstanding I have spokenדִּבַּ֤רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696unto you, rising earlyהַשְׁכֵּ֣םhash.KemH7925and speakingוְדַבֵּ֔רve.da.BerH1696;but ye hearkenedשְׁמַעְתֶּ֖םshe.ma'.TemH8085not unto me.

16Because the sonsבְּנֵי֙be.NeiH1121of Jonadabיְהוֹנָדָ֣בye.ho.na.DavH3082the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵכָ֔בre.KhavH7394have performedהֵקִ֗ימוּhe.Ki.muH6965the commandmentמִצְוַ֥תmitz.VatH4687of their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֖ם'a.vi.HemH1,which he commandedצִוָּ֑םtzi.VamH6680them; but this peopleוְהָעָ֣םve.ha.'AmH5971hath not hearkenedשָׁמְע֖וּsha.me.'UH8085unto me:
