2For then the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Babylon’sבָּבֶ֔לba.VelH894armyחֵ֚ילcheilH2428besiegedצָרִ֖יםtza.RimH6696Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389:and Jeremiahוְיִרְמְיָ֣הוּve.yir.me.Ya.huH3414the prophetהַנָּבִ֗יאha.na.Vi'H5030was shut upכָלוּא֙kha.Lu'H3607in the courtבַּחֲצַ֣רba.cha.TzarH2691of the prisonהַמַּטָּרָ֔הha.ma.ta.RahH4307, which wasin the kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Judah’sיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004.

7Behold, Hanameelחֲנַמְאֵ֗לcha.nam.'ElH2601the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Shallumשַׁלֻּם֙sha.LumH7967thine uncleדֹּֽדְךָ֔do.de.KhaH1730shall comeבָּ֥אba'H935unto thee, sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,Buyקְנֵ֣הke.NehH7069thee my fieldשָׂדִי֙sa.DiH7704that isin Anathothבַּעֲנָת֔וֹתba.'a.na.TotH6068:for the rightמִשְׁפַּ֥טmish.PatH4941of redemptionהַגְּאֻלָּ֖הha.ge.'u.LahH1353isthine to buyלִקְנֽוֹת׃lik.NotH7069it.

9And I boughtוָֽאֶקְנֶה֙va.'ek.NehH7069the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֔הha.sa.DehH7704of Hanameelחֲנַמְאֵ֥לcha.nam.'ElH2601my uncle’sדֹּדִ֖יdo.DiH1730sonבֶּן־ben-H1121, that wasin Anathothבַּעֲנָת֑וֹתba.'a.na.TotH6068,and weighedוָֽאֶשְׁקֲלָה־va.'esh.ka.lah-H8254him the moneyהַכֶּ֔סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701, evenseventeenשִׁבְעָ֥ה וַעֲשָׂרָ֥הshiv.'Ah va.'a.sa.RahH6235 H7651shekelsשְׁקָלִ֖יםshe.ka.LimH8255of silverהַכָּֽסֶף׃ha.Ka.sefH3701.

10And I subscribedוָאֶכְתֹּ֤בva.'ekh.ToH3789the evidenceבַּסֵּ֙פֶר֙ba.Se.ferH5612,and sealedוָֽאֶחְתֹּ֔םva.'ech.TomH2856it,and tookוָאָעֵ֖דva.'a.'EdH5749witnessesעֵדִ֑ים'e.DimH5707,and weighedוָאֶשְׁקֹ֥לva.'esh.KolH8254himthe moneyהַכֶּ֖סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701in the balancesבְּמֹאזְנָֽיִם׃be.mo.ze.Na.yimH3976.

11So I tookוָאֶקַּ֖חva.'e.KachH3947the evidenceסֵ֣פֶרSe.ferH5612of the purchaseהַמִּקְנָ֑הha.mik.NahH4736, boththat which was sealedהֶֽחָת֛וּםhe.cha.TumH2856accordingto the lawהַמִּצְוָ֥הha.mitz.VahH4687and customוְהַחֻקִּ֖יםve.ha.chu.KimH2706,and that which was openהַגָּלֽוּי׃ha.ga.LuiH1540:

12And I gaveוָאֶתֵּ֞ןva.'e.TenH5414the evidenceהַסֵּ֣פֶרha.Se.ferH5612of the purchaseהַמִּקְנָ֗הha.mik.NahH4736unto Baruchבָּר֣וּךְba.RukhH1263the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Neriahנֵרִיָּה֮ne.ri.YahH5374,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Maaseiahמַחְסֵיָה֒mach.se.YahH4271,in the sightלְעֵינֵי֙le.'ei.NeiH5869of Hanameelחֲנַמְאֵ֣לcha.nam.'ElH2601mine uncle’sדֹּדִ֔יdo.DiH1730son,and in the presenceוּלְעֵינֵי֙u.le.'ei.NeiH5869of the witnessesהָֽעֵדִ֔יםha.'e.DimH5707that subscribedהַכֹּתְבִ֖יםha.ko.te.VimH3789the bookבְּסֵ֣פֶרbe.Se.ferH5612of the purchaseהַמִּקְנָ֑הha.mik.NahH4736,beforeלְעֵינֵי֙le.'ei.NeiH5869all the Jewsהַיְּהוּדִ֔יםhai.ye.hu.DimH3064that satהַיֹּשְׁבִ֖יםhai.yo.she.VimH3427in the courtבַּחֲצַ֥רba.cha.TzarH2691of the prisonהַמַּטָּרָֽה׃ha.ma.ta.RahH4307.

13And I chargedוָֽאֲצַוֶּה֙va.'a.tza.VehH6680Baruchבָּר֔וּךְba.RukhH1263beforeלְעֵינֵיהֶ֖םle.'ei.nei.HemH5869them, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

14Thus saithאָמַר֩'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068of Armiesצְבָא֜וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478;Takeלָק֣וֹחַla.Ko.achH3947these evidencesהַסְּפָרִ֣יםha.se.fa.RimH5612,this evidenceסֵפֶר֩se.FerH5612of the purchaseהַמִּקְנָ֨הha.mik.NahH4736,both which is sealedהֶחָת֗וּםhe.cha.TumH2856,and this evidenceסֵ֤פֶרSe.ferH5612which is openהַגָּלוּי֙ha.ga.LuiH1540;and putוּנְתַתָּ֖םu.ne.ta.TamH5414them in an earthenחָ֑רֶשׂCha.resH2789vesselבִּכְלִי־bikh.li-H3627,that they may continueיַעַמְד֖וּya.'am.DuH5975manyרַבִּֽים׃ סra.BimH7227daysיָמִ֥יםya.MimH3117.

15For thus saithאָמַ֛ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of Armiesצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;Housesבָתִּ֛יםva.TimH1004and fieldsוְשָׂד֥וֹתve.sa.DotH7704and vineyardsוּכְרָמִ֖יםu.khe.ra.MimH3754shall be possessed againיִקָּנ֥וּyi.ka.NuH7069in this landבָּאָ֥רֶץba.'A.retzH776.

16Now whenאַחֲרֵ֤י'a.cha.ReiH310I had deliveredתִתִּי֙ti.TiH5414the evidenceסֵ֣פֶרSe.ferH5612of the purchaseהַמִּקְנָ֔הha.mik.NahH4736unto Baruchבָּר֥וּךְba.RukhH1263the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Neriahנֵרִיָּ֖הne.ri.YahH5374,I prayedוָאֶתְפַּלֵּ֖לva.'et.pa.LelH6419unto Yhwhיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

17Ahאֲהָהּ֮'a.HahH162Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִה֒Yah.wehH3069!behold, thou hast madeעָשִׂ֗יתָ'a.Si.taH6213the heavenהַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064and the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776by thy greatהַגָּד֔וֹלha.ga.DolH1419powerבְּכֹֽחֲךָ֙be.kho.cha.KhaH3581and stretched outהַנְּטוּיָ֑הha.ne.tu.YahH5186armוּבִֽזְרֹעֲךָ֖u.viz.ro.'a.KhaH2220, andthere is nothingדָּבָֽר׃da.VarH1697too hardיִפָּלֵ֥אyi.pa.Le'H6381for thee:

20Which hast setשַׂ֠מְתָּSam.taH7760signsאֹת֨וֹת'o.TotH226and wondersוּמֹפְתִ֤יםu.mo.fe.TimH4159in the landבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776of Egyptמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4714, evenunto this dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117,and in Israelוּבְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לu.ve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478, and among othermenוּבָֽאָדָ֑םu.va.'a.DamH120;and hast madeוַתַּעֲשֶׂה־va.ta.'a.seh-H6213thee a nameשֵׁ֖םshemH8034,as at this dayכַּיּ֥וֹםkai.YomH3117;

21And hast brought forthוַתֹּצֵ֛אva.to.Tze'H3318thy peopleעַמְּךָ֥'a.me.KhaH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478out of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714with signsבְּאֹת֣וֹתbe.'o.TotH226,and with wondersוּבְמוֹפְתִ֗יםu.ve.mof.TimH4159,and with a strongחֲזָקָה֙cha.za.KahH2389handוּבְיָ֤דu.ve.YadH3027,and with a stretched outנְטוּיָ֔הne.tu.YahH5186armוּבְאֶזְר֣וֹעַu.ve.'ez.Ro.a'H248,and with greatגָּדֽוֹל׃ga.DolH1419terrorוּבְמוֹרָ֖אu.ve.mo.Ra'H4172;

22And hast givenוַתִּתֵּ֤ןva.ti.TenH5414them this landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776,which thou didst swearנִשְׁבַּ֥עְתָּnish.Ba'.taH7650to their fathersלַאֲבוֹתָ֖םla.'a.vo.TamH1to giveלָתֵ֣תla.TetH5414them, a landאֶ֛רֶץ'E.retzH776flowingזָבַ֥תza.VatH2100with milkחָלָ֖בcha.LavH2461and honeyוּדְבָֽשׁ׃u.de.VashH1706;

23And they came inוַיָּבֹ֜אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935,and possessedוַיִּֽרְשׁ֣וּvai.yir.ShuH3423it; but they obeyedשָׁמְע֤וּsha.me.'UH8085not thy voiceבְקוֹלֶ֙ךָ֙ve.ko.Le.chaH6963,neither walkedהָלָ֔כוּha.La.khuH1980in thy lawוּבְתוֹרָתְךָ֣u.ve.to.ro.te.khaH8451;they have doneלַעֲשׂ֖וֹתla.'a.SotH6213nothing of all that thou commandedstצִוִּ֧יתָהtzi.Vi.tahH6680them to doעָשׂ֑וּ'a.SuH6213:therefore thou hast caused all this evilהָרָעָ֖הha.ra.'AhH7451to comeוַתַּקְרֵ֣אva.tak.Re'H7122upon them:

24Behold the mountsהַסֹּלְל֗וֹתha.so.le.LotH5550,they are comeבָּ֣אוּBa.'uH935unto the cityהָעִיר֮ha.'IrH5892to takeלְלָכְדָהּ֒le.la.khe.DahH3920it; and the cityוְהָעִ֣ירve.ha.'IrH5892is givenנִתְּנָ֗הni.te.NahH5414into the handבְּיַ֤דbe.YadH3027of the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּים֙ha.kas.DimH3778,that fightהַנִּלְחָמִ֣יםha.nil.cha.MimH3898against it, becauseמִפְּנֵ֛יmi.pe.NeiH6440of the swordהַחֶ֥רֶבha.Che.revH2719,and of the famineוְהָרָעָ֖בve.ha.ra.'AvH7458,and of the pestilenceוְהַדָּ֑בֶרve.ha.Da.verH1698:and what thou hast spokenדִּבַּ֛רְתָּdi.Bar.taH1696is come to pass; and, behold, thou seestרֹאֶֽה׃ro.'EhH7200it.

27Behold, I amYhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֖י'e.lo.HeiH430of all fleshבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320:is there any thingדָּבָֽר׃da.VarH1697too hardיִפָּלֵ֖אyi.pa.Le'H6381for me?

29And the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּ֗יםha.kas.DimH3778,that fightהַנִּלְחָמִים֙ha.nil.cha.MimH3898against this cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892,shall comeוּבָ֣אוּu.Va.'uH935and setוְהִצִּ֜יתוּve.hi.Tzi.tuH3341fireבָּאֵ֖שׁba.'EshH784on this cityהָעִ֥ירha.'IrH5892,and burnוּשְׂרָפ֑וּהָu.se.ra.Fu.haH8313it with the housesהַבָּתִּ֡יםha.ba.TimH1004,upon whose roofsגַּגּֽוֹתֵיהֶ֜םga.go.tei.HemH1406they have offered incenseקִטְּר֨וּki.te.RuH6999unto Baalלַבַּ֗עַלla.Ba.'alH1168,and poured outוְהִסִּ֤כוּve.hi.Si.khuH5258drink offeringsנְסָכִים֙ne.sa.KhimH5262unto otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsלֵאלֹהִ֣יםle.lo.HimH430,to provoke me to angerהַכְעִסֵֽנִי׃hakh.'i.Se.niH3707.

30For the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478and the childrenוּבְנֵ֣יu.ve.NeiH1121of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063have only doneעֹשִׂ֥ים'o.SimH6213evilהָרַ֛עha.Ra'H7451beforeבְּעֵינַ֖יbe.'ei.NaiH5869me from their youthמִנְּעֻרֹֽתֵיהֶ֑םmi.ne.'u.ro.tei.HemH5271:for the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478have only provoked me to angerמַכְעִסִ֥יםmakh.'i.SimH3707with the workבְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥הbe.ma.'a.SehH4639of their handsיְדֵיהֶ֖םye.dei.HemH3027,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002Yhwhיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

31For this cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892hath been to me asa provocation of mine angerאַפִּ֣י'a.PiH639and of my furyחֲמָתִ֗יcha.ma.TiH2534from the dayהַיּוֹם֙hai.yOmH3117that they builtבָּנ֣וּba.NuH1129it even unto this dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117;that I should removeלַהֲסִירָ֖הּla.ha.si.RahH5493it from before my faceפָּנָֽי׃pa.NaiH6440,

33And they have turnedוַיִּפְנ֥וּvai.yif.NuH6437unto me the backעֹ֖רֶף'O.refH6203,and not the faceפָנִ֑יםfa.NimH6440:though I taughtוְלַמֵּ֤דve.la.MedH3925them, rising up earlyהַשְׁכֵּ֣םhash.KemH7925and teachingוְלַמֵּ֔דve.la.MedH3925them,yet they have not hearkenedשֹׁמְעִ֖יםsho.me.'ImH8085to receiveלָקַ֥חַתla.Ka.chatH3947instructionמוּסָֽר׃mu.SarH4148.

34But they setוַיָּשִׂ֣ימוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760their abominationsשִׁקּֽוּצֵיהֶ֗םshi.ku.tzei.HemH8251in the houseבַּבַּ֛יִתba.Ba.yitH1004,which is calledנִקְרָֽא־nik.ra'-H7121by my nameשְׁמִ֥יshe.MiH8034,to defileלְטַמְּאֽוֹ׃le.ta.me.'OH2930it.

35And they builtוַיִּבְנוּ֩vai.yiv.NuH1129the high placesבָּמ֨וֹתba.MotH1116of Baalהַבַּ֜עַלha.Ba.'alH1168, which arein the valleyבְּגֵ֣יאbe.Gei'H1516of the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Hinnomהִנֹּ֗םhi.NomH2011,to cause their sonsבְּנֵיהֶ֣םbe.nei.HemH1121and their daughtersבְּנוֹתֵיהֶם֮be.no.tei.HemH1323to passלְ֠הַעֲבִירLe.ha.'a.virH5674through the fireunto Molechלַמֹּלֶךְ֒la.mo.leKhH4432;which I commandedצִוִּיתִ֗יםtzi.vi.TimH6680them not, neither cameעָֽלְתָה֙'al.TahH5927it into my mindלִבִּ֔יli.BiH3820,that they should doלַעֲשׂ֖וֹתla.'a.SotH6213this abominationהַתּוֹעֵבָ֣הha.to.'e.VahH8441,to cause Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ סye.hu.DahH3063to sinהַחֲטִ֥יאha.cha.ti'H2398.
