1Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,Goהָל֛וֹךְha.LokhH1980and getוְקָנִ֥יתָve.ka.Ni.taH7069a potter’sיוֹצֵ֣רyo.TzerH3335earthenחָ֑רֶשׂCha.resH2789bottleבַקְבֻּ֖קvak.BukH1228, and takeof the ancientsוּמִזִּקְנֵ֣יu.mi.zik.NeiH2205of the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971,and of the ancientsוּמִזִּקְנֵ֖יu.mi.zik.NeiH2205of the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃ha.ko.ha.NimH3548;

2And go forthוְיָצָ֙אתָ֙ve.ya.Tza.taH3318unto the valleyגֵּ֣יאgei'H1516of the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Hinnomהִנֹּ֔םhi.NomH2011, which isby the entryפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the eastהַֽחַרְסִ֑יתha.cha.ra.sutH2777gateשַׁ֣עַרSha.'arH8179,and proclaimוְקָרָ֣אתָve.ka.Ra.taH7121there the wordsהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697that I shall tellאֲדַבֵּ֥ר'a.da.BerH1696thee,

3And sayוְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ve.'a.mar.TaH559,Hearשִׁמְע֣וּshim.'UH8085ye the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,O kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,and inhabitantsוְיֹשְׁבֵ֖יve.yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389;Thus saithאָמַר֩'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068of Armiesצְבָא֜וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478;Behold, I will bringמֵבִ֤יאme.Vi'H935evilרָעָה֙ra.'AhH7451upon this placeהַמָּק֣וֹםha.ma.KomH4725,the which whosoever hearethשֹׁמְעָ֖הּsho.me.'AhH8085,his earsאָזְנָֽיו׃'a.ze.NavH241shall tingleתִּצַּ֥לְנָהti.Tzal.nahH6750.

4Because they have forsakenעֲזָבֻ֗נִי'a.za.Vu.niH5800me, and have estrangedוַֽיְנַכְּר֞וּvay.na.ke.RuH5234this placeהַמָּק֤וֹםha.ma.KomH4725,and have burned incenseוַיְקַטְּרוּ־vay.ka.te.ru-H6999in it unto otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsלֵאלֹהִ֣יםle.lo.HimH430,whom neither they nor their fathersוַאֲבֽוֹתֵיהֶ֖םva.'a.vo.tei.HemH1have knownיְדָע֛וּםye.da.'UmH3045,nor the kingsוּמַלְכֵ֣יu.mal.KheiH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063,and have filledוּמָֽלְא֛וּu.mal.'UH4390this placeהַמָּק֥וֹםha.ma.KomH4725with the bloodדַּ֥םdamH1818of innocentsנְקִיִּֽם׃ne.ki.YimH5355;

5They have builtוּבָנ֞וּu.va.NuH1129also the high placesבָּמ֣וֹתba.MotH1116of Baalהַבַּ֗עַלha.Ba.'alH1168,to burnלִשְׂרֹ֧ףlis.RofH8313their sonsבְּנֵיהֶ֛םbe.nei.HemH1121with fireבָּאֵ֖שׁba.'EshH784forburnt offeringsעֹל֣וֹתo.LotH5930unto Baalלַבָּ֑עַלla.Ba.'alH1168,which I commandedצִוִּ֙יתִי֙tzi.Vi.tiH6680not, nor spakeדִבַּ֔רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696it,neither cameעָלְתָ֖ה'al.TahH5927itinto my mindלִבִּֽי׃ פli.BiH3820:

6Therefore, behold, the daysיָמִ֤יםya.MimH3117comeבָּאִים֙ba.'ImH935,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,that this placeלַמָּק֨וֹםla.ma.KomH4725shall no more be calledיִקָּרֵא֩yi.ka.Re'H7121Tophetהַתֹּ֖פֶתha.To.fetH8612,nor The valleyוְגֵ֣יאve.Gei'H1516of the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Hinnomהִנֹּ֑םhi.NomH2011,but The valleyגֵּ֥יאgei'H1516of slaughterהַהֲרֵגָֽה׃ha.ha.re.GahH2028.

7And I will make voidוּ֠בַקֹּתִיU.va.ko.tiH1238the counselעֲצַ֨ת'a.TzatH6098of Judahיְהוּדָ֤הye.hu.DahH3063and Jerusalemוִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙vi.ru.sha.LimH3389in this placeבַּמָּק֣וֹםba.ma.KomH4725;and I will cause them to fallוְהִפַּלְתִּ֤יםve.hi.pal.TimH5307by the swordבַּחֶ֙רֶב֙ba.Che.revH2719beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440their enemiesאֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֔ם'o.ye.vei.HemH341,and by the handsוּבְיַ֖דu.ve.YadH3027of them that seekמְבַקְשֵׁ֣יme.vak.SheiH1245their livesנַפְשָׁ֑םnaf.ShamH5315:and their carcasesנִבְלָתָם֙niv.la.TamH5038will I giveוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414to be meatלְמַֽאֲכָ֔לle.ma.'a.KhalH3978for the fowlsלְע֥וֹףle.'ofH5775of the heavenהַשָּׁמַ֖יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and for the beastsוּלְבֶהֱמַ֥תu.le.ve.he.MatH929of the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

8And I will makeוְשַׂמְתִּי֙ve.sam.TiH7760this cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892desolateלְשַׁמָּ֖הle.sha.MahH8047,and an hissingוְלִשְׁרֵקָ֑הve.lish.re.KahH8322;every one that passethעֹבֵ֣ר'o.VerH5674thereby shall be astonishedיִשֹּׁ֥םyi.ShomH8074and hissוְיִשְׁרֹ֖קve.yish.RokH8319because of all the plaguesמַכֹּתֶֽהָ׃ma.ko.Te.haH4347thereof.

9And I will cause them to eatוְהַֽאֲכַלְתִּ֞יםve.ha.'a.khal.TimH398the fleshבְּשַׂ֣רbe.SarH1320of their sonsבְּנֵיהֶ֗םbe.nei.HemH1121and the fleshבְּשַׂ֣רbe.SarH1320of their daughtersבְּנֹתֵיהֶ֔םbe.no.tei.HemH1323,and they shall eatיֹאכֵ֑לוּyo.Khe.luH398every oneוְאִ֥ישׁve.'IshH376the fleshבְּשַׂר־be.sar-H1320of his friendרֵעֵ֖הוּre.'E.huH7453in the siegeבְּמָצוֹר֙be.ma.tzOrH4692and straitnessוּבְמָצ֔וֹקu.ve.ma.TzokH4689,wherewith their enemiesאֹיְבֵיהֶ֖ם'o.ye.vei.HemH341,and they that seekוּמְבַקְשֵׁ֥יu.me.vak.SheiH1245their livesנַפְשָֽׁם׃naf.ShamH5315,shall straitenיָצִ֧יקוּya.Tzi.kuH6693them.

10Then shalt thou breakוְשָׁבַרְתָּ֖ve.sha.var.TaH7665the bottleהַבַּקְבֻּ֑קha.bak.BukH1228in the sightלְעֵינֵי֙le.'ei.NeiH5869of the menהָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔יםha.'a.na.ShimH582that goהַהֹלְכִ֖יםha.ho.le.KhimH1980with thee,

11And shalt sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֨ve.'a.mar.TaH559unto them, Thus saithאָמַ֣ר׀'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of Armiesצְבָא֗וֹתtze.va.'otH6635;Even soכָּ֣כָהKa.khahH3602will I breakאֶשְׁבֹּ֞ר'esh.BorH7665this peopleהָעָ֤םha.'AmH5971and this cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892, as onebreakethיִשְׁבֹּר֙yish.BorH7665a potter’sהַיּוֹצֵ֔רhai.yo.TzerH3335vesselכְּלִ֣יke.LiH3627,that cannotיוּכַ֥לyu.KhalH3201be made whole againלְהֵרָפֵ֖הle.he.ra.PehH7495:and they shall buryיִקְבְּר֔וּyik.be.RuH6912themin Tophetוּבְתֹ֣פֶתu.ve.To.fetH8612, till there beno placeמָק֖וֹםma.KomH4725to buryלִקְבּֽוֹר׃lik.BorH6912.

12Thus will I doאֶעֱשֶׂ֞ה'e.'e.SehH6213unto this placeלַמָּק֥וֹםla.ma.KomH4725,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,and to the inhabitantsוּלְיֽוֹשְׁבָ֑יוu.le.yo.she.VavH3427thereof, and evenmakeוְלָתֵ֛תve.la.TetH5414this cityהָעִ֥ירha.'IrH5892as Tophetכְּתֹֽפֶת׃ke.To.fetH8612:

13And the housesבָּתֵּ֣יba.TeiH1004of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֗םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,and the housesוּבָתֵּי֙u.va.TeiH1004of the kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,shall be defiledהַטְּמֵאִ֑יםha.te.me.'ImH2931as the placeכִּמְק֥וֹםkim.KomH4725of Tophetהַתֹּ֖פֶתha.To.fetH8612,because of all the housesהַבָּתִּ֗יםha.ba.TimH1004upon whose roofsגַּגֹּֽתֵיהֶם֙ga.go.tei.HemH1406they have burned incenseקִטְּר֜וּki.te.RuH6999unto all the hostצְבָ֣אtze.Va'H6635of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and have poured outוְהַסֵּ֥ךְve.ha.SekhH5258drink offeringsנְסָכִ֖יםne.sa.KhimH5262unto otherאֲחֵרִֽים׃ פ'a.che.RimH312godsלֵאלֹהִ֥יםle.lo.HimH430.

14Then cameוַיָּבֹ֤אvai.ya.Vo'H935Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙yir.me.Ya.huH3414from Tophetמֵֽהַתֹּ֔פֶתme.ha.To.fetH8612,whither Yhwhיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had sentשְׁלָח֧וֹshe.la.ChoH7971him to prophesyלְהִנָּבֵ֑אle.hi.na.Ve'H5012;and he stoodוַֽיַּעֲמֹד֙vai.ya.'a.ModH5975in the courtבַּחֲצַ֣רba.cha.TzarH2691of Yhwh'sיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068houseבֵּית־beit-H1004;and saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to all the peopleהָעָֽם׃ סha.'AmH5971,

15Thus saithאָמַ֞ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068of Armiesצְבָאוֹת֙tze.va.'OtH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478;Behold, I will bringמֵבִ֜יאme.vi'H935upon this cityהָעִ֤ירha.'IrH5892and upon all her townsעָרֶ֔יהָ'a.Rei.haH5892all the evilהָ֣רָעָ֔הha.ra.'AhH7451that I have pronouncedדִּבַּ֖רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696against it, because they have hardenedהִקְשׁוּ֙hik.ShuH7185their necksעָרְפָּ֔ם'a.re.PamH6203,that they might not hearשְׁמ֥וֹעַshe.Mo.a'H8085my wordsדְּבָרָֽי׃de.va.RaiH1697.
