Isaiah 58:1-7

1“1CryH7121 loudlyH1627, do not holdH2820 backH2820; RaiseH7311 your voiceH6963 like a trumpetH7782, And declareH5046 to My peopleH5971 their 2wrongdoingH6588, And to the houseH1004 of JacobH3290 their sinsH2403.2Yet they 3seekH1875 Me dayH3117 by dayH3117 and delightH2654 to knowH1847 My waysH1870, As a nationH1471 that has doneH6213 4righteousnessH6666 And 5has not forsakenH5800 the ordinanceH4941 of their GodH430. They askH7592 Me for justH6664 decisionsH4941, They delightH2654 6in the nearnessH7132 of GodH430.3‘WhyH4100 have we 7fastedH6684 and You do not seeH7200? Why have we humbledH6031 ourselvesH5315 and You do not 8noticeH3045?’ BeholdH2005, on the 9dayH3117 of your fastH6685 you findH4672 your desireH2656, And oppressH5065 allH3605 your workersH6092.4BeholdH2005, you fastH6684 for contentionH7379 and 10strifeH4683, and to strikeH5221 with a wickedH7562 fistH106. You do not fastH6684 like you have done todayH3117 to 11makeH8085 your voiceH6963 heardH8085 on highH4791!5Is it a fastH6685 like thisH2088 that I chooseH977, a dayH3117 for a personH120 to humbleH6031 himselfH5315? Is it for bowingH3721 12one’s headH7218 like a reedH100 And for spreadingH3331 outH3331 13sackclothH8242 and ashesH665 asH3331 aH3331 bedH3331? Will you callH7121 thisH2088 a fastH6685, even an 14acceptableH7522 dayH3117 to the LordH3068?6Is thisH2088 not the fastH6685 that I chooseH977: To 15releaseH6605 the bondsH2784 of wickednessH7562, To undoH5425 the ropesH92 of the yokeH4133, And to 16letH7971 the oppressedH7533 goH7971 freeH2670, And 17breakH5423 everyH3605 yokeH4133?7Is it not to 18breakH6536 your breadH3899 19with the hungryH7457 And 20bringH935 the homelessH4788 poorH6041 into the houseH1004; WhenH3588 you seeH7200 the 21nakedH6174, to coverH3680 him; And not to 22hideH5956 yourself from your own fleshH1320?
