Isaiah 1:17-23

17LearnH3925 to doH3190 goodH3190; 1SeekH1875 justiceH4941, RebukeH833 the oppressorH2541, 2ObtainH8199 justiceH8199 for the orphanH3490, PleadH7378 for the widow’sH490 caseH490.

18“ComeH1980 nowH4994, and 3let us 4debateH3198 your case,” SaysH559 the LordH3068, “5ThoughH518 your sinsH2399 are as scarletH8144, They shall become as whiteH3835 as snowH7950; ThoughH518 they are redH119 like crimsonH8438, They shall be like woolH6785.196IfH518 you areH14 willingH14 and obedientH8085, You will 7eatH398 the bestH2898 of the landH776;20But ifH518 you refuseH3985 and rebelH4784, You will be 8devouredH398 by the swordH2719.” For 9the mouthH6310 of the LordH3068 has spokenH1696.

21HowH351 the faithfulH539 cityH7151 has becomeH1961 a 10prostituteH2181, She who was fullH4392 of justiceH4941! RighteousnessH6664 once dweltH3885 in her, But nowH6258 murderersH7523.22Your silverH3701 has becomeH1961 11wasteH5509 matterH5509, Your drinkH5435 dilutedH4107 with waterH4325.23Your 12rulersH8269 are rebelsH5637 And companionsH2270 of thievesH1590; EveryoneH3605 13lovesH157 a bribeH7810 And chasesH7291 after giftsH8021. They 14do not obtainH8199 justiceH8199 for the 15orphanH3490, NorH3808 does the widow’sH490 caseH7379 comeH935 beforeH413 them.
