1Now I raisedוָאֶשָּׂ֤אva.'e.Sa'H5375my eyesעֵינַי֙'ei.NaiH5869againוָאָשֻׁ֗בva.'a.ShuvH7725and lookedוָֽאֶרְאֶ֔הva.'er.'EhH7200,and beholdוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009,fourאַרְבַּ֤ע'ar.Ba'H702chariotsמַרְכָּבוֹת֙mar.ka.VotH4818were goingH3318outH3318from betweenמִבֵּ֖יןmi.BeinH996the twoשְׁנֵ֣יshe.NeiH8147mountainsהֶֽהָרִ֑יםhe.ha.RimH2022;and the mountainsוְהֶהָרִ֖יםve.he.ha.RimH2022werebronzeנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ne.Cho.shetH5178mountainsהָרֵ֥יha.ReiH2022.

2With the firstהָרִֽאשֹׁנָ֖הha.ri.sho.NahH7223chariotבַּמֶּרְכָּבָ֥הba.mer.ka.VahH4818wereredאֲדֻמִּ֑ים'a.du.MimH122horsesסוּסִ֣יםsu.SimH5483,with the secondהַשֵּׁנִ֖יתha.she.NitH8145chariotוּבַמֶּרְכָּבָ֥הu.va.mer.ka.VahH4818blackשְׁחֹרִֽים׃she.cho.RimH7838horsesסוּסִ֥יםsu.SimH5483,

3with the thirdהַשְּׁלִשִׁ֖יתha.she.li.ShitH7992chariotוּבַמֶּרְכָּבָ֥הu.va.mer.ka.VahH4818whiteלְבָנִ֑יםle.va.NimH3836horsesסוּסִ֣יםsu.SimH5483,and with the fourthהָרְבִעִ֔יתha.re.vi.'ItH7243chariotוּבַמֶּרְכָּבָה֙u.va.mer.ka.VahH4818strongאֲמֻצִּֽים׃'a.mu.TzimH554spottedבְּרֻדִּ֖יםbe.ru.DimH1261horsesסוּסִ֥יםsu.SimH5483.

4So I respondedוָאַ֙עַן֙va.'A.'anH6030and saidוָֽאֹמַ֔רva.'o.MarH559to the angelהַמַּלְאָ֖ךְha.mal.'AkhH4397who was speakingהַדֹּבֵ֣רha.do.VerH1696with me, “Whatמָה־mah-H4100are theseאֵ֖לֶּה'E.lehH428,my lordאֲדֹנִֽי׃'a.do.NiH113?”

5The angelהַמַּלְאָ֖ךְha.mal.'AkhH4397repliedוַיַּ֥עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030to me, “Theseאֵ֗לֶּה'E.lehH428are thefourאַרְבַּע֙'ar.Ba'H702spiritsרֻח֣וֹתru.ChotH7307of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,goingH3318outH3318afterH4480takingH3320their standH3320beforeעַל־'al-H5921the LordH136of allכָּל־kol-H3605the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776,

6with one of whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the blackהַשְּׁחֹרִ֗יםha.she.cho.RimH7838horsesהַסּוּסִ֣יםha.su.SimH5483are goingH3318outH3318to thenorthצָפ֔וֹןtza.FonH6828countryאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776;and the whiteוְהַלְּבָנִ֔יםve.ha.le.va.NimH3836onesH3836are to goH3318outH3318afterאַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם'a.cha.rei.HemH413 H310them, while the spottedH1261onesH1261are to goH3318outH3318to thesouthהַתֵּימָֽן׃ha.tei.ManH8486countryאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776.”

7When the strongוְהָאֲמֻצִּ֣יםve.ha.'a.mu.TzimH554onesH554wentH3318outH3318, theywereH1245eagerH1245to goלָלֶ֙כֶת֙la.Le.khetH1980topatrolלְהִתְהַלֵּ֣ךle.hit.ha.LekhH1980the earthבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776.And He saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Goלְכ֖וּle.KhuH1980,patrolהִתְהַלְּכ֣וּhit.ha.le.KhuH1980the earthבָאָ֑רֶץva.'A.retzH776.” So theypatrolledוַתִּתְהַלַּ֖כְנָהva.tit.ha.Lakh.nahH1980the earthבָּאָֽרֶץ׃ba.'A.retzH776.

8Then He calledוַיַּזְעֵ֣קvai.yaz.'EkH2199outH2199to me and spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to me, sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “Seeרְאֵ֗הre.'EhH7200,those who are goingהַיּֽוֹצְאִים֙hai.yotz.'ImH3318to the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of the northצָפ֔וֹןtza.FonH6828haveappeasedהֵנִ֥יחוּhe.Ni.chuH5117My wrathרוּחִ֖יru.ChiH7307in the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of the northצָפֽוֹן׃ סtza.FonH6828.”

9Thewordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068also cameוַיְהִ֥יvay.HiH1961to me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

10“Takeלָק֙וֹחַ֙la.Ko.achH3947an offeringfrom the exilesהַגּוֹלָ֔הha.go.LahH1473,from Heldaiמֵחֶלְדַּ֕יme.chel.DaiH2469,Tobijahטוֹבִיָּ֖הtoi.YahH2900,and Jedaiahיְדַֽעְיָ֑הye.da'.YahH3048;and you shall goוּבָאתָ֤u.va.TaH935the sameהַה֔וּאha.Hu'H1931dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117and enterוּבָ֗אתָu.Va.taH935the houseבֵּ֚יתbeitH1004of Josiahיֹאשִׁיָּ֣הyo.shi.YahH2977the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Zephaniahצְפַנְיָ֔הtze.fan.YahH6846,whereאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they have arrivedבָּ֖אוּBa.'uH935from Babylonמִבָּבֶֽל׃mi.ba.VelH894.

11Also takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֥ve.la.kach.TaH3947silverכֶֽסֶף־khe.sef-H3701and goldוְזָהָ֖בve.za.HavH2091,makeוְעָשִׂ֣יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213an ornatecrownעֲטָר֑וֹתa.ta.RotH5850,and setוְשַׂמְתָּ֗ve.sam.TaH7760iton the headבְּרֹ֛אשׁbe.RoshH7218ofJoshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֥עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Jehozadakיְהוֹצָדָ֖קye.ho.tza.DakH3087,the highהַגָּדֽוֹל׃ha.ga.DolH1419priestהַכֹּהֵ֥ןha.ko.HenH3548.

12Then sayH559to him, ‘The Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635saysH559thisכֹּ֥הkohH3541: “Beholdהִנֵּה־hi.neh-H2009, there isa Manאִ֞ישׁ'ishH376whose nameשְׁמוֹ֙she.MoH8034isBranchצֶ֤מַחTze.machH6780, for He willbranchH6779outH6779from whereוּמִתַּחְתָּ֣יוu.mi.tach.TavH8478He is; and He willbuildוּבָנָ֖הu.va.NahH1129the templeהֵיכַ֥לhei.KhalH1964of the Lordיְהוָֽהּ׃Yah.wehH3068.

13Yes, it is He who will buildיִבְנֶ֞הyiv.NehH1129the templeהֵיכַ֤לhei.KhalH1964of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068, and He who willbearיִשָּׂ֣אyi.Sa'H5375the majestyה֔וֹדHodH1935and sitוְיָשַׁ֥בve.ya.ShavH3427andruleוּמָשַׁ֖לu.ma.ShalH4910on His throneכִּסְא֑וֹkis.'OH3678. So He will be apriestכֹהֵן֙kho.HenH3548on His throneכִּסְא֔וֹkis.'OH3678,and the counselוַעֲצַ֣תva.'a.TzatH6098of peaceשָׁל֔וֹםsha.LomH7965will be betweenבֵּ֥יןbeinH996the twoשְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃she.nei.HemH8147offices.”’

14Now thecrownוְהָעֲטָרֹ֗תve.ha.'a.ta.RotH5850will becomeתִּֽהְיֶה֙tih.YehH1961a reminderלְזִכָּר֖וֹןle.zi.ka.RonH2146in the templeבְּהֵיכַ֥לbe.hei.KhalH1964of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068to Helemלְחֵ֙לֶם֙le.Che.lemH2494,Tobijahוּלְטוֹבִיָּ֣הu.le.toi.YahH2900,Jedaiahוְלִידַֽעְיָ֔הve.li.da'.YahH3048, andHenוּלְחֵ֖ןu.le.ChenH2581the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Zephaniahצְפַנְיָ֑הtze.fan.YahH6846.

15Those who are farH7350awayH7350will comeיָבֹ֗אוּya.Vo.'uH935andbuildוּבָנוּ֙u.va.NuH1129the templeבְּהֵיכַ֣לbe.hei.KhalH1964of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068.” Then you willknowוִידַעְתֶּ֕םvi.da'.TemH3045that the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635has sentשְׁלָחַ֣נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971me to you.
